Firstly before I start ranting, I would like to state that the clan chat and the person I'm ranting about are completely unrelated to top it. The clan chat I speak of is indeed not lightning, there are lots of friendly people in lightning, and the person of whom I speak is of a different forum ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- On Christmas day I was in a clan chat late at night whilst I was scaping. When I joined I immediately sensed trouble. There was a power abusing chat mod in there. I had no prior knowledge to the conversation before I joined in but he said stfu and kicked someone. So rather then risk being kicked I be friendly with this guy. Later on he kicks someone for asking what drops vulture eggs and said 'Go cry about it where someone cares, gtfo'. So anyway, then this chat mod starts going on about 'Hannah Montana' (I use inverted commas seeing as I've never heard of her before) and won't friggin shut up about how he lurvs her music etc. then he starts spamming the clan chat up by singing lyrics to her songs so rather then tell him to stop I start singing lyrics from a Rise Against song. Then this loser starts showing his true side: So I didn't reply because I began to research on this Hannah Montana. I find out she is a kid's show pop singer or summat like that, so I return to the clan chat and told the chat mod to laugh at himself for liking such music being a teenage male, and I also called him an idiot. Of course then I left the chat knowing he would kick me, so rather then give him the satisfaction, yeah, I left. then he I return and find he's not on the chat, then suddenly he comes back and says to everyone that he sent me a pm on a different forum (not tip it) though its prolly easy to guess which forum it is (I blanked the course language): So I report him to a forum mod and he gets suspended. Then next day I return to the chat and am told that the chat mod said whenever he sees me he'll kick me from the clan chat. Then another chat mode told me that he told him to kick me, but I explained myself to him and so he didn't. so I'm there for an hour or so enjoying conversing with people when lo and behold the abusive mod comes in and kicks me. Each time I log in and he logs in after me he kicks me. So then I start going to the chat on different accounts to sort of 'spy' on this guy, seeing as he's irl mates with the chat owner. The clan chat owner tells him that he should show a little more love to people, seeing as ALOT of people complain about him. Whenever someone disagrees with him he says 'Go cry about it somewhere else' and kicks them. The next time I'm on a apologise to the mod but he still continues to kick me, so rather then fight the MOD Edit: Try not to avoid the censor :) ~ Shaz I made my switch to lightning clan chat, which I'll be staying at What really annoys me is this a hole tries to act mature in front of everyone, especially the chat owner. when no one's around though he turns into a maniac. So anyway, thats my little rant about someone who went too far. I'm never gonna go back to that clan chat :uhh:

Firstly pking wasn't gotten rid of entirely, so if you are seriously suggesting getting rid of certain skills completely, I'm afraid Ima hafta slap you. You have to think about the economy. Sure, nerfing pking will have a terrible effect on the economy, but removing skills would completely send the economy into its own fiery death. Autoers bring in a large supply of the ores/logs/fish etc. Nerfing the wilderness obviously will stop these autoers in their tracks and thus prices will rise in all your everyday RS goods which you use. But getting rid of skills completely would get rid of ALL of your supplies of food, logs and ores and such. Do you not realise what will happen? Due to a halt in the flow of money in the economy, people will be forced to buy all of their supplies from shops, made possible from the stock update. However since the money will stop flowing through the game, it will all disappear. People would have to resort to alching, and since rcing would be gone they'd still have to continuously give money to the npc shops to be able to get natures and/or kill monsters. Soon a great Rs depression would begin, and you'd be too poor to afford anything. And seeing as there would be a halt in the flow of money, you wouldn't make much profit from staking and pking anyways, since everyone is too poor to afford to stake a load or bring into the wildy very valuable armour. Due to this, many, many people would be crowding the GWD, barrows and other such places where you can get armour that you can't elsewhere. Then practically everyone would be wearing these armours. Why bother selling them? Barely anyone will buy it, and even so, they would be really cheap, so whats the point of selling them? A top all that, Jagex would have rewrite A LOT of their quests. With the removal of skill requirements. They would also have to remove several guilds and areas of the game. Not to mention the hiscores chaos. Really what I'm saying is, the negative effects of removing certain skills would be far greater then removing pking and staking.

You're the exact type of person errent is ranting about :thumbsup: I use both, and like both. Unlike a lot of bias idiots out there. No one here has proof that tip it has more intelligent people. By what I've seen in the rants forum it pretty mucyh has the same amount of idiots as any other fansite does :

I think Sizigy might be the only one who can kill the level 126s. 9ctpe6 who is in the top 200 f2p and level 121 cmb had died 3 or 4 times trying to solo a level 126 revenants and has died each time. And yes, they are definitely overpowered in f2p.

You couldn't have possibly been playing since 1999. That version was called Devious Mud and was never open to the public, as well as RS2 came out in 2004. rofl :XD: Other then that you raise some very good points, however with your RWT argument, Jagex did not stop all of it but they stopped the biggest part which was damaging them the most,

I hardly see how that is a problem now what with the new updates :thumbsup: F2Per shouldn't have a disadvantage against P2Per in F2P server only because F2P can't raise a P2P skill, which has effects in F2P server. P.S. A small part of Summonig is a must in F2P, like we have with RCing. If max combat level will be 138 and F2P can get maxed at 126 it is a disadvantage too. I don't know a game where Free players can't get maxed out because they don't pay. Well I don't know a game where you can get unlimited free access :roll:

Ah yes, I find that very annoying especially when I'm slaying. It gets very annoying and tedious because you don't get as much slayer xp.

I think the whole concept of adventure is directed at new players, as generally it is an adventure when you just start. And if you think Varrock is crowded now, lol you should've seen it in classic, Varrock square was the main marketplace, Falador wasnt. I don't know how they swapped... And someone mentioned earlier, you only have one ranked stat and you're ranting, lol you haven't done enough adventuring imo. You've probably never been a member, which I'm assuming because of you're signature and your one ranked stat. Maybe you sholud become a member. Well apparently they are restoring pking today or on January 18th? Not sure, just something I hear from people around and about.

I was considering making a 2007 updates sort of thread in October. I'll take up the responsibility (lol) if you want. Is there a lot of work in maintaining such a thread as this?

Wouldn't people just transfer items though pking? Think about it, two people who are trying to RWT set up a pkin fight and 1 deliberately dies to transfer the stuff. I do have a rough time with change but hopefully if they do this it would be for the best. Ah well, the direct trading system had a very long run, but its time to end. This would also anger people who like PC as they will no longer be able to do the 'Trade for 100+ world' thing.
