  1. Are you thinking short term, mid-term, or long term? In other words, how often and how much time are you willing to spend on checking prices, etc. Also, don't expect too many posts giving a specific item, because if they did that item wouldn't be so great anymore.
  2. A bit too complex to actually work, something simpler would work better. For example, sacrificing half your HP to erect a forcefield that halves either magic, ranged, or melee damage for a limited time.
  3. Abuse is too easy, plus how can you ensure a player pays back the loan without taking drastic measures?
  4. Do the quests the above posters mentioned, and be sure to level your farming quick so you can farm herbs asap.
  5. Not sure I follow this because if it worked the way you say, once I exceeded a monster's defense with my attack I would never miss. But that is not what occurs. Rather if my attack is low versus their defense, I might hit 1 out of 3. As I build my attack it is then 1 out of 2, then 2 out of 3, then 3 out of 4. I don't fight anything where I "never miss". I suppose if that were the case then yes I would build strength. But it is not the case. As for what I usually grind on -- ice giants. I probably average a little better than 1 hit out of 2. Some times I hit 4 in a row, sometimes I miss 4 in a row. Perhaps their combat level is a factor? Mine is 86 (I think, not logged in now), and the ice giants are listed as level 53. If I could move my average hits from 1/2 to 2/3 that would very much shorten the encounters. I think increasing my strength die from 14 sided to 16 sided with a rune scimitar is not going to be as decisive as hitting more often. 1. Remember that was a hypothetical example. I know it is impossible for you to "never miss" on certain monsters. But it was a simplification so I could better explain the concept. 2. Combat level is not a factor, when considering misses, you need to look at 4 things: opponent's defense level, opponent's defense bonus, your attack level, and your attack bonus. Just remember that leveling attack eventually becomes useless. That cut-off point is different depending on the monster. That was the point.
  6. Sure thing
  7. Because your favor will fall, it's probably not worth it at all. I'd say put enough money in for enough days that are still profitable.
  8. This, if you are going back anyway, you might as well level up your roles.
  9. Yes but if you log out your gravestone automatically collapses. That means your items will only remain there for as long as your gravestone's standard timer is (unless it gets blessed before you log out). So if you have a 6 minute grave, your items are there for 6 minutes. Im not very worried about wasting the money, as long as I have a range skillcape by the end of it, and wouldn't 15% range pray cost more? Most guides say lv 70 ranged as a guideline, some even 55, im pretty sure 83 isn't too low. Can't you do it without summoning, how did ppl do it before? 15% ranged pray will cost more in PRAYER POTIONS, but since it saves Chinchompas, it inevitably ends up saving you money. Yes you can use no summoning, but summoning can only help.
  10. Dying with void sucks. I've died with my void while chinning, but that was very unlucky since I d/c'd for about 15 minutes. If your internet tends to drop like that, don't use void, or don't bother replacing it if you lose it. Use something like Armadyl, since it will protect. When you die, it will be because your prayer drained, so don't bother praying Protect Item. Lastly, purchase a 6 minute gravestone. If you die from lag or a mistake (as opposed to disconnecting) you WILL have enough time to get back.
  11. Well it's much more efficient to use a moneymaker then BUY those items you need but to answer your question... Strykewyrms drop dropped herbs fairly often, but not often enough to really justify killing them for herbs (not that you can, anyway). You're better off killing Chaos Druids or Ab Specs then banking. Sorry. Plenty of ores from Living Rocks. Avaianses drop adamant bars (noted) very often. I don't think any monster drops noted gems often enough to make it anything other than rare. No idea on the fish. Remember if you want to gather your own supplies, a great way to do this is MTK.
  12. No. In f2p strength is much more valuable than strength, outside of PvP and Revenant situations. Think about it. What's your toughest monster? Greater Demon, Hellhound, Cockroach? All those monsters have pretty low defense, so eventually when you hit a certain attack level, any levels past that don't make much of a difference. Here's a hypothetical example. Let's say you need an attack level equal to your opponent's defense level to never miss (again, hypothetically). Let's say there's a monster called, Muffin, that has 60 defense. So you are leveling up attack until 60, then suddenly, you find you never miss when you might Muffins. So if your attack and strength were both 60, you'd much rather want to raise strength because those extra attack levels are getting wasted. Similarly a player with 60 attack and 99 attack would have the same xp/hr killing Muffins, assuming their HP, defense, and strength levels are equal. So what I am saying here is that at a certain point, raising attack is useless if compared to a certain monster because you will already have overcome that monster's defense. Strength has a similar problem, except against HP, not defense (eventually, you will have a max hit over Muffin's HP, at which point extra strength levels make no difference since they cannot make you hit higher than Muffin's HP). And since f2p monsters (excluding revenants) have low defense, you don't need much attack to get a good xp/hr. Hope this made sense.
  13. Yes only that teleport causes your character to moan in pain. You did get smacked in the head, after all.
  14. As Codguy stated, if you have seeds to burn, put them in Port Sarim until you only have 1 left. Brimhaven, otherwise, is the best place to plant it for farming runs. It speeds up runs a lot. If you do not farm trees/fruit trees (which, imo, should only be the case if you cannot plant any trees or are 99, regardless of your level, you should be planting trees; even if you do not have a goal. They are so cheap and the runs are so quick that there isn't much reason not to (full tree/fruit tree run takes no longer than 9 minutes if you use the best route), although perhaps after you have "unlocked" farming you could also stop), then Etc. is good if you visit often, but Brimhaven still offers an extremely quick teleport.
  15. I agree, although I'm certain it would be faster with a terrorbird. Thanks for that data! :D
  16. In my experience, you CAN run in any direction. Perhaps you were a bit slow?
  17. So curses do not deflect damage against Bork AND Jade Vine?
  18. This is intriguing, though I'm guessing the answer would be no.... That is what logic dictates, although it is something that can't be so easily assumed.
  19. Do the players trapped in the cage have an option to go or are they forced? In other words, if I were the poor soul caught in your magic cage, and you expelled me to Varrock, would I be able to refuse going to Varrock? Also, if I had not completed Priest in Peril, could I get expelled to Canafis?
  20. Dragonstone enchanting in the MTA is very good, and when you reach Onyx enchant, you beat alching in xp AND cost. Lunar spells are good as well, such as superglass make, which is a bit slower than alching but profits. However, if you really want to make every coin count, I heavily recommend bursting rock lobsters. Compared to all the benefits, it's ridiculously cheap, and since all the updates to magic and the Familiarization minigame, it only keeps getting better/cheaper. Yes, yes. It's FACE VALUE is much higher, but in reality when you look at the big picture, you are saving a lot of money.
  21. +4 str probably will increase your max by 1 or 2. A better idea, if you want that boost, is to simply buy a Berserker Ring or pray Superhuman Strength.
  22. Make larders, and mahogany carved tables/regular tables are very good as well.
  23. If you already have it, might as well use it. If not, no it's not worth it.
  24. Alternatively, you could pray magic against the metal dragons. If won't block much of the attack, but it makes it unfatal.
