  1. Flaming aside, there is a rational and logical reason why Jagex added the trade limit, and there is likewise a rational and logical reason why it will stay there - RWT. There is no way to remove the trade limit without allowing RWT to become as popular as it once was. However, Jagex did state that they will be increasing the trade limit between 2 friends, so while you may not be able to give your friend millions for a gift, you can at least give 100k or more :)

Besides the obvious stuff, I mean.
  3. http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Calculators/Trees But again, it isn't totally accurate.
  4. You can cannon almost every Duradel task if you do it right, and most of Duradel's tasks either are completed faster than Sumona's or give too much xp to turn down. Duradel is better.
  5. Sounds expensive  I'll look into it though. Thanks for the tip Leo, that's a smart trick. Suppose I'll have to go to the tower and life and fill my bank with satchels. Thanks aswell troaccid, there's some varying advice on low levels with ZMI. I also wonder if an ardy cloak helps alot for profit there, I might test it when I get bored. The prices jump around a lot, but generally speaking, steams are 5k more xp per hour than smoke but run a loss, while smokes profit or break even. Steam runes can get to 45k xp/hr, which ZMI cannot match until the mid-80s. Needless to say, no other method can match steam runes, EXCEPT assist airs after 88 rc.
  6. Rune defender is significantly better than a BSS (or even DFS for non dragon tasks) for slayer. So you're really pulling yourself down if you sell a fury to replace a defender. Both these items are the absoloute best you can get for general slayer (Even an enchanted salve doesn't beat the combo of fury when used with a slayer helm). Actually, the best way to do dragon tasks would be to kill them with a Zamorak Spear. I heavily recommend buying the said Spear. You can use its crush style for speed on Waterfiends and Gargoyle tasks, making it superior to the whip in those cases. In addition, its stab ability beats the whip in all forms of metal dragons (and black dragons if you don't kill the babies) and at Aquanites.

Or maybe even a guide on the basics to get more beginners interested.
  8. If you are a minimalist, sure it isn't. But if you want to complete each task quickly and efficiently, that simply won't do.
  9. Do steam or smoke runes for the best xp.
  10. Because it's fun. It's not the only thing in the log too, you can see your recent accomplishments and your friends' (and any community member you search and isn't on private) recent accomplishments. It's a great way to connect with others. And again, it's fun
  11. I think he's doing the Kalphite slayer task on the soldiers, in which case he would only need 1 rope. Alternatively, you could go through the Dorgesh-Kaan tunnels. But this would require a light source so it wouldn't be much better. Maybe if you were fast enough...
  12. Maybe not, but it's the best you got.
  13. There isn't 1 definite answer, since slayer is SO diverse. You could buy bandos and wreck tasks like Scarabites, but would that be so useful at Mutated Bloodvelds, where you need to constantly pray melee? You could buy a whip and have smooth sailing through most tasks, but would that be so useful at Waterfiends, where you need to use crush to be effective? You could buy a Godsword, and deal high damage (if not less effective than the whip), but would that be so useful at Wyverns, where you need to use an elemental, mind, or dragonfire shield? You could buy a Dragonfire shield, and get through most tasks easily, but would that be so useful at Kalphites, where you really don't need the defense? So if money was no issue (but not considering really expensive equipment such as Spirit Shields), the best equipment would be: -Whip -Dragonfire, but also with a Rune defender for locations where the defense isn't need or isn't helpful, and a Zamorak Book for ranging -Fury -Barrows Gloves -Slayer Helm, of course -Zamorak Spear, fastest way to kill metals and Aquanites -Saradomin Sword, fastest way to kill Gargolyes and Waterfiends -Bandos armor, with Prossy for tasks where you must pray -Cannon with cannonballs -Void or Armadyl, for tasks such as Black Demons where you safespot + cannon -Saradomin Godsword, but also a Dragon Dagger or Armadyl Godsword for tasks where you don't need the extra healing -Dragon Boots -Berserker Ring (i), but also Warrior Ring (i) where you need attack more than strength, and Onyx Ring (i) where you need attack more than strength and you aren't using Slash (ex. waterfiends or mithril dragons), also a Seers' (i) for tasks where you range + cannon. Of course, for practicality you could forget the Warrior and Seers (i) and just use a Berserker and Onyx -Unicorn for healing, Elemental Titan when you want healing and fighting, and Steel Titan just for fighting -Karils -Rune crossbow with Broad/or better, bolts -Knives, for range + cannon fire giants -Chinchompas, for Nech tasks. Ice barrage is an alternative, but not a very good one. -Overload Potions, plus Extreme Antifires and Extreme Prayer -Praying piety on all tasks Of course, in your 13m budget, you would need to pick and choose which ones you think are the most effective, what master as you using? On Barrows, it does add up, but not to much. If you really think about it, you only pay ~15k per hour to use a barrows top and bottom. You can easily afford that.
  14. So basically you can only receive up to 5m in drops per day? That does nothing...
  15. Lol, well I had a lot of other stuff I had to take care of.
  16. 1) Play Defensive: Get armor, defense potions, and stockpile food. You can also send your familiar after him. 2) Play Defensive: Kill him, then run away and hope he won't find you again.
  17. The only good way to raise smithing by smelting is Gold w/ Gauntlets. Anything else may profit, but the low xp makes them an unviable option.
  18. I'll direct you to my AoW Combat training guide for f2p. The link is in my signature. It should tell you everything you need.
  19. Thank you! I'm glad I could be of so much help
  20. In other words, Sonic, once it becomes outdated it will no longer accomplish its purpose. Which is true, but if you think of it that way, there there is no solution to anything, because every single "fix" and be made obsolete by another update.
  21. One objection to only adding orbs to staves is that it would make the magic portion of the update more powerful than the others. To add an orb to a melee weapon, you could imbue it into the hilt. As such: http://www.omegaartworks.com/images/omega/sylvan-oak-sword1 Something similar could be done to the middle of the bow/crossbow for range weapons.
