Added Ardougne Achievement Cape into various parts of the guide.

Imo, f2p Arcanists requires the most skill in anything Jagex has made thus far. It's a very theoretical game in terms of the strategy required. It's not like members where you can outgun the other guy.
-
Adamant arrowtips are also a viable option. And of course, always ALWAYS use SC hammers. Not only do they make smithing FASTER (overall) but CHEAPER (overall). There is really no reason not to use them, especially with groups such as SC clans that let you get 4-5 tools per hour.

Humidify and cheaper and overall more efficient than the Enchanted Water Tiara anyway. You can look up the Rune cost on Tip.It's Lunar Magic guide. A note on granite, if you're up for it, you can employ advanced dropping techniques to skyrocket your xp/hour. At high mining levels, it's possible to top 70k or 80k when you employ such techniques. Without them, however, you won't get much higher than 60k if you really focus (at that's with mousekeys).

The best slayer guide out there is Zarfot's. Perhaps the ONLY downside (other than a potential disagreement in philosophy) is that it is on RSOF and therefore cannot hold pictures. You can easily solve this, however, by doing a quick google search of this name plus the slayer monster, and get any other info you need.

What everyone else said will do. I would add, however, that you can cannon them as well. Certainly do not skip them. They are one of the best crimson droppers in the game (Wyverns drop charms in sets of 2 and you get them roughly 50% of the time, therefore each Wyvern you kill = 1 crimson). Their drops aren't bad, but mainly cover costs more than anything else. You could, of course, keep and bank the bones (which are something like 3k each), but I feel that is too big of a hassle for anyone without a Yak; they are simply too far from a bank.

[Updated 9 Dec] Reviving Smithing : Divinite
Zaaps1 replied to Zaaps1's topic in RuneScape Suggestions
Incorporating Crafting would work, but it would deviate from the purpose of the suggestion: to boost smithing (and mining, to an extent, but that is no longer necessary imo). I like the idea of adding them to staves. Maybe even to weapons? -
You are suggesting that Fishing be "improved" because you do not feel it is realistic enough and feel it would be more fun if your idea was implemented. However, it is not practical to do a complete overhaul of fishing. While I do agree that the idea sounds like fun, a much better idea would've been to aim your suggestion at improving the Fishing Trawler, rather than add a whole new concept to fishing or do a complete overhaul.

Alright, before I add the orbs though we should settle the topic of how to get them. I know you mentioned earlier that they could be monster drops. I don't particularly like that idea, since the monsters have enough good things already, but it is workable. Are we keeping with that, or thinking of something new? I'm throwing around ideas here. Perhaps they could be added to Treasure Trials? Or maybe when you mine any rock in the Mines, you have a chance of obtaining a special gem (as opposed to something like diamond, ruby, etc.) that can be cut into an orb? -
That's more likely just a transcript of the chatbox than an actual picture file, which would take up too much filespace.

I don't see anyone running around with the black cape... I see them all the time. Anyways, what I am saying is, does anyone know about the "additional" reward?
-
Anyone figure out the deal with all the normal black capes running around?
-
It would really benefit only a very small minority. Think about it this way. Look at the total user base. Then think of those that actively participate in Runescape communities outside of the game. Out of those people, then think of the players who actually make and share screenshots. Then out of those, think about the people who already use a program. Out of the people who don't use the program, think about how many actually NEED that critical few seconds to paste it onto Paint.

I always wondered this. If there is smithing for melee and crafting for range, why is there not something for magic (granted that fletching and runecrafting cover range and mage ammo, respectively). Great way to introduce this. However, don't just keep it to magic robes! A skill geared just to making mage robes would be boring. Expand it a bit more, my friend, as it is a great idea basis. Enchanted adventuring robes? Robes granting skill boosts (invisible or level)? How about robes that prevent poison/disease? I'm just throwing around ideas here.

I mine there fairly often, and from my personal observations and conversations with the other miners, it DOES in fact appear that d pick offers no benefit over the rune pick at Concentrated Gold (can't say about Con. Coal though, but most likely the same).

Hmm, interesting. I could use a few more Orb Coins as well.

These orbs are attached to the shields, correct? -
You are actually asking two question, based on all of the posts: 1) Is it worth its current value? 2) Is it worth buying for use? No to the first, Yes to the second.

99 herby and a lead mod of Jagex? Do I sense hax? Fair enough I suppose, but I still don't feel the potions are worth getting.

Useful, there is no doubt. However, I don't agree with all of the suggestions that are essentially adding "legal macros". While I like the idea and would certain appreciate having it, I just don't feel it's "right", so to speak", to add it. Whenever I think about it, it just seems like Jagex giving players a "legal macro", to use the same term. People macro in order to save time. There are macros for fishing, for example, that automatically drop fish or follow a fishing spot that moves. There are dropping macros that drop your inventory. There are combat macros that eat when you are low in health and ensure you are always in combat. There are macros for almost everything. In fact, there is for certain a fletching macro that automatically withdraws 14 unstrung bows and 14 bowstrings. When should we legalize this macro by making a built-in one in-game? Will we eventually automatically follow fishing spots? Will we eventually have built-in auto-droppers? Drop-X options? Automatic eating? Somewhere, a line has to be drawn. For me, this suggestion is past that line. You and other people may have a different idea of where that line is, but personally speaking, this is past it. We cannot keep asking Jagex to make built-in codes to perform actions for us. It doesn't feel proper to me, and as I've said, will lead to more problems. To clarify, I like this suggestion. I would like to see this added, in a perfect world. However, the consequences (moral and otherwise) outweigh the benefits, and therefore I will have to say that this should not be implemented into the game.

Haven't been too active lately, but I will get working on this again when I get the time. As stated, 155 smithing isn't the "real" requirement. The "real" base level needed is 95, which is a lot more reasonable, no? "need to revamp the weapons system" is too vague for me to work with. Please elaborate. The rest I think I've addressed. Hawk, I've sent you a pm. -
168 days 1 hour. I'm surprised that actually isn't too long.
-
I don't think so, the font doesn't really match Jagex's style.
-
No, but certainly you can't believe that is the only reason an item would rise. Think about it, I don't think it is going down anything soon.
