  1. Right, but it's good to know that it IS possible making it far better than iron. However, if Wioneo's data is right, Concentrated Gold is by far the better option unless you can make over 1.6m per hour.
  2. Wrong. Personally I recorded an average of 57.2k mining xp per hour with the gold at level 80. Granted, that is with the use of a dragon pickaxe and pak yak, but I seriously doubt that either of those could create a jump from 25k to 57k xp in an hour. Also 70k+? For who? I know that I personally will never be mining and dropping that fast, and I'm fairly certain that that follows for most people. The gold trees on the other hand require minimal attention to achieve maximum efficiency. Also, that 57kish xp per hour comes along with over 400k in profit(for now). So if you would prefer to gain 13kish xp per hour at the expense of your hand and around 400k coins, then yes by all means mine granite all the way. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bl4DMCk_7mQ It's not how fast you drop, it's WHEN you drop.
  3. Glad to see it back! Once again, great guide. Really nothing more to be said, except perhaps recommendations on locations.
  4. Honestly speaking, rock lobsters. For the huge amount of benefits you get, it is EXTREMELY cheap. Alching isn't a bad option nowadays, although Onyx Enchant in the MTA is superior. PC can also get to 90k/hr, but I don't have conclusive data on costs.
  5. Granite is far, far better. It's a difference between 25-40k per hour and 70+k per hour. However, from recent data I've heard, concentrated gold MAY be better than granite. It's like comparing Barbarian fishing to Monkfish. It's SLOWER xp, but the money MAY make up for it. Test it yourself and calculate the results, since I've really seen nothing TOO conclusive to apply to the general population. You can bank in the Caves as long as you can get in, I believe. Do not mine with a star clan. You won't get enough xp. A better idea is to efficiently hunt them yourself, and usually you will have 2-5 people in the same world who happen to tag along (assuming a clan doesn't get it, and the star isn't in a crowded place by Aubury's Rune shop) and you are also MUCH more likely to get the Finder's XP. Tip.It's shooting star guide has recently added a full world map containing all the landing locations. You can also look in my star guide for the inventories to take in each area. Combine these two resources and there really shouldn't be a reason not to hunt them yourself! (Unless your low-level telescope is holding you back.) V armor 2 and 3 are exactly the same, except 3 works on more ores.
  6. Great job on new forums, they look awesome.
  7. I did a test on the scorpions. In a crowded world, you can stand at the center and alternate between 2-3 spawns. However, on average they were a little worse (1k-2k less) than giant spiders, which remain the best option if you can find a world with less than 2-3 people in a room.
  8. I don't have too much time on my hands, but I could put up the rates for melee. If you could get your rates for range and post them, that would be great. Credit given, of course.
  9. At my stats, 4 str pots (potted after 5 minutes) and the rest anchovy pizzas lasts me a long time.

I prefer Nair to punish airborn/overshielding characters with Ike.

I have no problem with any of those... Combo dodge=sidestep and roll, recover air dodge, and he owns all but the fastest of characters. Even then, I usually get a lucky Smash in there and own 'em. Side stepping and rolling doesn't mean you aren't combo-able, it just means your opponents needs to add one extra step: punish. In reality, it would be much better if you could DI out of a combo, but Ike has no fast/short lasting aerials, so Ike can't really DI. Ike's smashes aren't reliable. A 4 year old can shield the Fsmash and the Usmash and Dsmash don't have enough power to compensate their slow speed. In most cases, Ike's Ftilt would be a better killer, or one of his 2 [bleep]es/fair if your opponent is off-stage. (That's another great thing, I'm pretty sure Ike's fair is the fair with the greatest range in the game, if not THE aerial with the greatest range. It hits almost everywhere above, below, and a long way in front of Ike and is pretty fast for its power, imo. I don't think even Meta Knight's aerials can reach as far as Ike's fair, but that doesn't mean Ike's aerials are better.)
  12. I'm maxing at around 45k with 99/99/95 melee + str pots every 5 minutes. You could get higher I SUPPOSE with higher defense, but really, you won't even get 500xp more. Look to my AoW f2p combat guide. Link in sig.

"Past MK level"? Are you talking about usage?

Smashboards. Ike isn't going anywhere. He's good and I really like his as well, but fact is that he can't recover, is easily combo-able, and has a hard time dealing with almost every character in the game.
  15. Next year I think, Ray. Built my Trick room team. All of them have 0 speed IV except Regigias : My lead is Cresselia, although I should get a faster one that isn't so suspectible to taunt. Suggestions? Next I have Porygon2 and Slowking, both function as trick roomers and sweepers. I have a basic resttalk machamp with Dpunch and stone edge (Payback doesn't do much under trick room). Then Regigigas with Subsitute, Fire punch, Earthquake, and Return. Finish off with a basic MixedNite. Going pretty well so far ;)
  16. How does a mouse shooting lightning from its cheeks? I don't know. Well nowadays, all of the good rapid spinners are dead obvious. So once you pull one out, your opponent pulls out Rotom formes or Spiritomb to spin block you. Rapid spinner is a really limited technique that not many strong pokemon can learn, so its too predictable to be of any use (hence the reason why most teams don't even have a rapid spinner). By giving more Pokemon rapid spin, you're making it a lot more unpredictable and a lot more useful. Imagine if something like Bronzong could learn it. Bronzong is terrific for support and has a lot of uses (the only current rapid spinner that kinda shares that role is Starmie), so having Rapid Spin would be a wild card. Or if a Pokemon could learn pursuit and rapid spin, that makes it even better since you can easily dispose of any ghosts that come in your way and get in a rapid spin when they switch out/faint. Imagine something like Metagross being able to learn rapid spin (which, like Bronzong, it should in the first place). You can Pursuit/Shadow ball and kill any ghosts that happen to be there when Metagross switches in, then rapid spin, providing clearance for a BellyZard to switch in. And when you pit Metagross's bullet punch and meteor mash against Spiritomb, we know who wins.

G&W can also halt all momentum with dair. I've seen a few people pull a dair while flying out of the screen and insantly stop and float there. Anything will a FF dair can do it (like Toon Link, Sonic, ZSS, etc.). Not sure on practical use those. I remember in melee when G&W was total trash

  19. Phazing for resudial damage is pointless since roar/whirlwind both have -6 priority, which means the only move (other than other roars and whirlwinds) that will be slower is Trick Room, which is used very rarely. That means once you being your phazing, your opponent just throws in attacks and in about 2-3 turns you will die. Imo, the only way to counterbalance SR now is to either give a lot more Pokemon Rapid Spin (why the hell can't Bronzong learn it?) or give a field-type move that counters SR, for example something that acts as a shield against resudial damage for 1 turn.

  21. It's for your friend? Might as well tell him that. Plus you could most likely get 99 hp + 1-2 99 melee stats within 40 days training slayer or normal melee spots.

  25. Yup. Edit: Now that I think of it. Some tasks you might cannon in single combat to make it a bit faster. If you use it correctly, you can "make" some single combat zones multi combat, ranging fire giants and black demons are an example.
