  1. Of course it is. Go for it and don't look back.
  2. oh i see, anyways i wonder if they would change d claws to reduce their power #-o I seriously doubt it. Remember when manipulators said that to drop the price? Jagex said that they never considered changing the special after that was all over.
  3. You need more than 1 necklace though, because you'll get hit by more than 1 spec.
  4. I mean, you don't really give them a chance when you use d claws. But meh, if they won't wanna prepare themselves properly, that's their fault.
  5. List of planned updates to improve this idea: -The Armor will now be blessed by default. It will cut all damage by 20%. It will also further halve the damage taken every other hit, if it is by the disadvantaged combat style. However, its stats fall by 20% if it is hit by an advantaged combat style, and 10% every hit missed hit after that by the same combat style. -The Armor will degrade over the course of 20 hours of combat. -Weapons will also degrade over 20 hours -To recharge the Armor and Weapons, you must obtain a special drop (Divine Icon) from the Guardians. It drops 1/50 times. -To recharge the Armor, you also need a barrows item of the disadvantaged combat class -To enter a designated area (eg. Divinite Mines), you must sacrifice a Spirit Cobra, and it must be summoned before sacrificed -Divine Claw Whip will have its stun reduced to 10 seconds from 20 seconds -Rod of Life will now grant immunity instead of healing. This immunity lasts for 5 minutes. Immunity will block damage equal to damage the spell cast. So if you hit a 30, the next 30 damage you take is negated. -Attempting the mine the rock gives you a chance of failing to extract the ore and an explosion to will damage you (similar to retired random event). The base level is now 50 (with all the level boosters) and the chance of extracting is 50%. Every level after, your chance improves by 1%. If you are wearing the skill cape, you cannot fail. (If you are 99 but not wearing it, you only have 99% chance.) -To smithing Divinite, you need 1 Divinite Ore and 25 coal at 50 smithing. Every 2 levels after, you need 1 less coal. If you are wearing the skill cape, you need no coal. (If you are 99 but not wearing it, you still need 1 coal.) Archmage and I worked on this a while ago, and I thought it was time to post it. Any questions/concerns? the point of this is to improve this idea to better accomplish the goal: to make smithing profitable again.
  6. But smithing a full d sqaure, d plate, dfs, and spirit shields all give thousands of xp. Yet, no one I know or met has used them for training.
  7. But how long did 99 slayer take you? And does that include the cost of equipment/cannonballs/potions/barrows/food? I'm not saying Slayer isn't a good skill, or that it's not impressive. I'm also not saying that it isn't profitable. What I am saying is that it's not profitable enough for the effort required. If you sent those hundreds of hours you poured into slayer on something else, you could've had a lot more money in the end, just without the 99 slayer stat.
  8. I would be carefull with diamond bolt enchanting, as the prices fluctuate a lot. I lost around 2 mil recently because I bought 30k bolts and then didn't play for a few days. EDIT: however, other than that I have always made a profit enchanting. Yes, and although the OP is only 71 magic, I should warn you the same goes for Plankmake (level 87). A week ago it was less than 1gp/xp, now it's like 3gp/xp.
  9. I used guthans and only need 1 pot of regular restore and 3 monkfish. Try guthans? Remember to take advantage of their combat weaknesses. You need that.
  10. Best place to cannon is Ice Trolls. You'll profit, so money isn't an issue. Xp should be over 60k, maybe even 80k or so. Make sure you use a familiar and you range with your cannon. Takes ~20 minutes for a cannon to degrade, or ~1k cballs.
  11. Cool, that's the way to do it. Unfortunately, that's even worse. Camping slayer monsters is the fastest way to make money off slayer. If you just do tasks normally, you'll make even less. If you want to count profits from just doing regular slayer, I could easily double my list. I trust I don't have to do that, though, since you get my point by now.
  12. Do slayer or go play some minigames. It always works for me. And then think of a goal. Here's one you can try: all stats 60+
  13. Alching is fail. Tons of better options, here, look into diamond bolt enchanting. Twice the xp at less than half the cost. Other others are superglassmake, plankmake, string jewelry, and rock lobs, all of which blow alching out of the water.
  14. Sara Brews are the only potion to restore hp, other than Barbarian mixes.
  15. I think Jagex stated that multiple unit selection was too much for their game programming to handle. Same with chatting in the games outside of quick chat. I'm not sure about starting more than 1 game at once from the waiting room, but I'd imagine it's the same story.
  16. slayer is probably one of the most profitable moneymakers in the game. what do you call all the drops you get on slayer tasks, and reward points. you might want to rethink your slayer needs to be profitable comment And do you have proof? The best (by highest average profit) slayer moneymaker are Spiritual Mages. And they don't make very much at all. I can easily list 10 methods that can make more money/hour. 1. Aviansies 2. Green Dragons 3. Sara GWD 4. DKS 5. TDz 6. 26k 7. Double nats 8. Double astrals 9. Making certain summoning scrolls (eg, Healing Aura, which makes 1m/hour as someone calculated before) 10. Rune mining 11. Flesh Crawlers (there's an extra bonus one in case you think one of the above "doesn't count" for whatever reason) I can add even more to the list if you want to take into account the worth of xp gained. Still think it's one of the best moneymakers? Ok, it's a decent moneymaker. It's respectable. But it's nowhere near good. And it's nowhere near good enough for the effort required to get 83 slayer. You can't browse other sites while slaying, or at least not effective enough. Sure you can talk and such. But you want "easy" moneymakers? Here's a list. All of them are easier or the same difficulty as abby demons. 1. Rune mining (only 15-30 seconds of attention are needed every 1-2 minutes, if done right, which isn't very hard) 2. Aviansies 3. Green Dragons 4. 26k (or at least the EP part of it) 5. Flesh Crawlers 6. Double Astrals (debatable, but fact remains that there's plenty of time to talk with other players.) 7. Merchant armor/cannon sets 8. Farming herbs 9. MTK 10. Star mining Your second paragraph is a little vague. "i average around 1 whip a day and many other items which accounts for 3m? which isn't so bad" Saying "a day" tells me nothing. I can gain 3m strength xp per day. Is that 125k xp per hour over 24 hours? Or is it 187k xp per hour over 16 hours? Or is that 1.5m xp per hour for 2 hours? It means nothing. If you told me the exact number of hours/minutes you spend killing Abyssals, including banking and other diversions such as world hopping, then we'd be getting somewhere. If you killed Abyssals for 6 hours, you'd get 500k per hour, which is decent, but not good. With the GWD comment, I can't say much since I was never a GWD'er. However, from sources that I read, Sara GWD is 1m per hour trio'd. TDz (solo!) yields ~15 kills per hour. The claw drop rate is 1/200. In 14 hours you'll have d claws, worth 33m. That means you made 2.3m per hour. That doesn't include getting armor lumps. And the costs? Not enough to make a sizeable dent in that 2.3m, and plus you'd have to consider the normal drops and lumps covering a portion of the costs. Sure it isn't "easy money", but I gave you 10 other ways to make "easy money" and get just as much, if not more, money than Slayer.
  17. Slayer is quite profitable. Really? What's the max you can make? 500k an hour with Spiritual Mages? You spend all your time getting to 83 slayer, and you could've killed Green Dragons and made that much money/hour. Abyssal demons are even worse, from what I hear, and no other monster comes close. Plus, by the time you're 83 slayer, you have the combat stats to make over 1m per hour boss hunting. So sure it's profitable, but not for what it's worth. If you're looking for profit, slayer might be good, but if you're seriously looking for cash, slayer isn't the way to go. EDIT: What monster before 83 makes a lot of money? Ab specs? Warped Terrorbirds? Cave Slimes? All of them are beat by other combat methods of making money. [/hide] i don't agree with your attitude about slayer. 83 can make you more money than green dragons. plus, it takes time to look for a decent spot to hunt them, you have constant trips between banks AND avoid renevants. abyssal demons are the same as spiritual mages except you can make potentially more money through other drops like rune chains and pure ess. monster hunting is only good when you have a functional clan but its too much hassle to look for a decent group, an empty world, and the supplies you need each trip. the high risk of death is also a problem which is why i don't make money via monster hunting. My view on slayer is that it's a good skill. I do slayer all the time, and it's the main way I train. However, it's not as rewarding as it should be. All of the benefits are outdated. Slayer needs updates to its rewards. The last real update to slayer was 2 years ago with Spiritual Mages. It's due time for another. You can solo monster hunt just fine, and you can get way more than 500k per hour doing so (averaged out). You can make more than 1m per hour monster hunting solo. And all you're saying are potentials. You can POTENTIALLY make more at Abby demons. You can POTENTIALLY die. You can POTENTIALLY have to world hop. But when you look at the averages, it makes a very small dent (esp. since at Tdz, you can always get your items back, all of them). Give me a raw number, like an AVERAGE of the profit per hour of Abby demons or the best tasks. You'll find they aren't so great.
  18. Man I'd give anything to have a skill that would be cash neutral. Neither making money or losing it. A skill that would be done by you and only you can the benefits of training. All produced items being untradeable. That would be sweet. I can hear the DIY'ers begging already.

    Honor Pking ?

There shouldn't be a reason to safe in f2p, though. This isn't some stupid rule. That's logic. The max hit is a 33 with a r2h + prayer + potion + 99 str + rune gaunts. Unless you're somehow below that, it's a much better idea to hit your opponent then eat. Safeing is good, but safing when you don't need to is bad.
  21. I would change my vote to new weapons and armor. Slayer needs more incentives. Smoking Kills was a start, but not nearly a finish. Slayer needs to be profitable and rewarding. Right now, there's little reason to raise it to a high level, other than bragging rights/total levels/skill cape.
