Iowa, and now Vermont, Pass Same-Sex Marriage Laws
god hates people who don't use interpunction and proper grammar. And god hates people who think that homosexuality is bad. And god hates the fact that you play RS. And god probably wants you to GTFO this thread. Ya god is a hater.

I think that's pretty much your problem tbh. And IE sucks, especially the version Jagex uses. MS has a general disrespect for the web standards. Nobody should be using IE. For the sake of the web developers.

Can anyone tell me why fire is the cheapest rune in RS?
You describe a mechanism. This topic is not for the mechanism, but because of the "why". The mechanism of supply and demand describes how an economy works, but not what the reason is behind a shift in the supply and demand.

You see it as saving ones soul, I see it as forcing some sort of moral upon other people, that is based upon fairy tales. And while you might not, there are a lot of religious people trying to force their beliefs upon others. Religion is fine, as long as you keep it to your own living room.

If it was up to the christian church, the world would still be flat. From a Catholic point of view, I don not want anyone going to hell. Catholics do not hate gays. Catholics only disagree with their actions. Catholics see it as a 'disorder'. Like single men/women, they are required to abstain from sex. If a Catholic hated gays so much, all they would have to do is stop preaching. To a Catholic, Hell is the worst punishment ever imaginable. Disagreeing with their actions... requiring them to abstain from sex... why does the catholic church think they can force their beliefs upon other people? Just let them do their thing and just keep your beliefs for yourself.

What would you have done?
You are just being decent, and the urges to keep the cellphone for yourself... well, let me tell you that a lot of people have those feelings ;) Although a lot of people won't admit it.

Well I doubt they'll remove anything. No more bring wildy back crap equivalents please... Perhaps I'm being too hopeful. 750k sounds like too much. I hope Jagex actually looks at time put in the game. That's the best parameter imo. Also gives people the time to mature a bit.

Likely. So that means it gives Jagex information about the game design. That's a win for Jagex. What I'm trying to say is that Jagex can get insights in the nature of the experienced F2P player by hearing their voices, and act upon that to maximize their efficiency in which they make people get membership. An example which I can think of is a "when would you get membership" enquiry for F2P players on the forum.. or anything a bit more subtle. It most certainly can. Drop the average age and the average maturity drops along with it. If the average age is lowered, that is probable. Though, only high level F2P players get the chance to post on the forums. I don't know what their average level is, but it could well be higher than the average P2P'er due to the fact that being experienced takes up time, and thus will probably increase the average age of the "experienced F2P'er".

High ranking players not as "nerdy" as we think?
So you judge people by the length of their post? Well, if I have to judge from your post, I'd say you're a moron.

P2P does have more experience, probably.. but F2P players will comment on their own version of the game. Perhaps they have some interesting stuff to say about how Jagex could make F2P more appealing for starting players, and such. Oh and I wasn't very serious about the posting on the RSOF part. I thought that was clear. Sorry dude, there's going to be HUGE AMOUNTS OF SPAM with some gold nuggets here and there, and the chances of them being found are drastically low. I mean, take a look at how P2P players conduct themselves. Now think of that, but several times larger, and angrier (despite the fact that they just got forum freedom). We can only hope for the best. P2P players are as [developmentally delayed]ed as they can get. F2P is not anything worse. Also, I do expect that the F2P players with more experience are able to post sensibly on the forums. In fact I think that the average posting level of the F2P'ers will be higher than in P2P'ers, since there are experience requirements for F2P before they can post on the forums. While it gives no guarantee, experienced players do tend to be a bit more sensible. Anyways, whatever it will be... huge amounts of spam is quite unlikely. It can't get any worse than what it is now.

And I'm saying that most updates aren't, but they seem to be moving in the wrong direction with updates like this one. Do you really think that drawing players from fansites like tip.it to the cesspool of RSOF is going to encourage them to buy members? And it knocks away a decent advantage of PTP, posting privileges - and it's just that much more maintenance and server costs for Jagex. Well, the voices of experienced F2P players will be heared now. Those are relevant. They can tell Jagex about how to improve the free game in a decent way (and by decent I don't mean the "I wantz moar contentz pl0x" whines you see a lot). And since P2P gets a crapload of content compared to F2P, there is nothing wrong with giving a little to F2P. It makes people stick around, knowing that F2P is not forgotten or looked down upon by Jagex. Giving a little to keep the F2P player base mildly entertained won't hurt at all. And well... posting privileges.. Jagex should pay ME for posting there. The RSOF blows.

I'm gonna go ahead and assume that was sarcasm, so yeah sure you can. Go on ahead and kiss my [wagon] and see what you can dig out of it. Do you have a surprise for us there?

I live in the USA, not that it matters on the internet. Just proving my point. All of those things fall under the category of 'making people get members'. Yes. So I'm pretty much saying that what Jagex does isn't wrong, from a business perspective.

All that is true. I can't do a thing about what Jagex chooses to do with my money, but I AM allowed to voice an opinion about it. Well yeah, we live in a free country. At least I do, not sure about you. That depends. Runescape is known to have a pretty good free element. People note that in reviews. People read that and think, hey, lets play Runescape. A decent F2P part of the game doesn't neccesarily have to be primarily focussed on getting everyone to P2P. You don't want everyone on F2P, because it means you can't keep a healthy player base, which will cause less players to be interested in the game. In that way you could say that a F2P'er that never intends to get membership, but is nice to other players ingame, is earning money for Jagex. Since they potentially increase the fun of other people, thus making them stick, thus increase the chance of those people getting membership.

Compfreak, it's not your money anymore. You give it to Jagex, in return for content. That's the deal. Jagex decides where to spend that money on, and a part of that is investing in F2P servers. If you are unhappy with the content you recieve, you can cancel your membership. I don't know why you feel the need to rant on F2P'ers. They simply get the offer to be able to play a game for free, and they take that opportunity. Oh, and you DO get updates. So saying that they should give us updates is quite unneeded, since they do.

So everything FTP gets is free? The servers don't use electricity, never fail, were free in the first place, and don't depend on an expensive backbone connection to link them? All the abuse reports are handeled by unicorns who work for no money? All bugs are fixed by a blind monkey who requires nothing but food which is donated for free by the local animal shelter? Cause if not, there's a feeew costs associated with Jagex hosting FTP, costs that are covered by us, and not them. What exactly are you trying to achieve here? To get F2P'ers feel bad about themselves and see how great us P2P'ers are by generously paying for the needs of F2P'ers? You pay for P2P because you want extras. You get them. F2P pays nothing because they don't want to (or can't). Jagex thinks that's fine, so they can play a demo version of the game. Nothing wrong with that.

Once a great game. A story/Rant for veteran players.
There is so much more to these complex thinking patterns than just the frontal lobes. Especially decision is based on motivation and emotions, in which many more areas in the brain are used. The limbic system plays an important part. Also, you can't say it's just the frontal lobes, period. Frontal lobes never do something out of their own, they're always interconnected with something else. Especially the amygdala, which plays a very important role on the prefrontal cortex, aswell as the hippocampus. In fact, when speaking about making decisions, for example, the cingulate gyrus, which is located in the limbic system, plays a predominant role. Anyways, the reason why I brought up the hypothalamic reagon, is because you were speaking about the influences of the pituitary. The pituitary is the master hormone producing gland in the body, but is directly influenced by the hypothalamus. You can't just speak of the pituitary, because it's always in contect of the whole hypothalamic pituitary axis. There's also the possibility that you're developmentally delayed. Seriously, what kind of argument is that.

Basically the simple version of what I'm saying. You can't be fully mature if your brain's not mature - your brain IS you. No other system in your body regulates maturity, though the pituitary gland can have some effect on it. It's more like the whole hypothalamic pituitary axis. And yes, if your brain isn't mature, then technically, you aren't mature. But that's pretty much a useless way to determine maturity due to individual variety in which brain matter translates to behaviour. Can't we go back to ranting about how bad this game sucks? I mean, that's more useful than continuing this discussion.
