  1. Well, I suppose I have 4 major interests... Computers (Computer/Video games), math, ancient history and maps. Math is needed for everything, so eh... But mix up the other three and you get... A map designer for an ancient historical/fantasy computer/video game. I suppose yes, that is a job I would like. But eh, a few other jobs... The one I usually tell people is computer programmer. As math is probably what I'm most well known for at school, a mathematician is also a choice. A cartographer would've easily been my choice a few years ago, but I've changed. (By the way, I've drawn a map of an imaginary map that somewhat resembles Christopher Paolini's map of Alagaesia...And I only read Eragon a few weeks ago. Weird.) If all else fails, I guess I can always be a fire truck.

What's K-Ville? If it wasn't for that, I would hope that Fox shows 24 episodes year round, regardless of whether or not they're new episodes. Anyways, the only things you mentioned that I watch are 24. January (?) is so far off... :( And as for House, I have the DVDs so watching them on Fox is pointless, except for new episodes. Except I think those come out in Spring as well. -.- (Hopefully school will make it fly by, like usual.)
  3. Got me with the American League thing. #-o But we HAVE been trying to reach out a little bit. We've had some games in Japan, and I believe some in the UK. :-k Correct me if I'm wrong. But I don't see teams from different countries lining up at Bud Selig's office trying to join.... Adding international teams to the MLB or the World Series would ruin tradition. Even though it would finally be an actual World Series, still, I wouldn't like it one bit. Anyways, there's now a World Baseball Classic. Pretty much the World Cup of baseball, except on a smaller scale. I wish they did it more often...And maybe even make it a bigger tournament... Anyways, Taiwan won today, and I believe that automatically gets them into the semifinals. They have to play either Japan or Curacao, and bother are very good teams. It'll be one nice game to watch.
  4. Nice timing. :) Right around the time I leave this thread, you come back. Anyways, welcome back. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw that you were the last to reply to this thread. I may actually stick around a little longer because of you.
  5. Teams from around the world play in this. And about the "makes us feel like we're the best" thing, When the world series was established, only Americans were playing baseball. I agree that we aren't the only ones now, but we aren't going to change over 100 years of tradition. Anyways, there IS a Canadian team in the MLB... And that Canadian team is in the AMERICAN league. And yep, this is everyone in the world. Except the USA automatically is in the final. Anyways, Massachusetts got eliminated. :( But Taiwan is pwning Mexico right now. :
  6. The current game is delayed =( And I was looking forward to watching my two teams back to back... Anyways, a few things. I'm surprised about how many of the Walpole kids said that they liked Derek Jeter. When they listed the most common players picked as a favorite player, I laughed extremely hard at how all 10 votes for Chien-Ming Wang were from Taiwan. Currently, Oregon advanced, Ohio eliminated, Maryland eliminated, Saudi Arabia eliminated and the Netherlands eliminated. Texas, Venezuela and Japan might have advanced, I'm too lazy to check.
  7. Then go with a suggestion I made a while ago. Make it so that a quest is required. Make the quest requirements high then. That's rather hard, I don't think anyone else that's posted here has done that. Maybe you're just special. Stop assuming that everyone can do the same things you can. Easier said than done. Please. Read. Id_Suge's post a few posts up. (Maybe the last page.) For your sake, I'll copy and paste it. Can you not read? The title says [Weekly Rallies Canceled!] Good luck crashing rallies that don't exist. -.- Now... I completely forgot about the rally. Sad to see that they're canceled for now. I would offer to lead them if I still played regularly. Anyways, this will probably be one of my last posts on this topic. I've nearly quit a lot of things, including TIF. So I'll say it while I remember...Good luck with anything you do in the future. Feel free to PM me if anything big happens. Hopefully, I'll see you at the next rally, whenever it is! : (First page supporter FTW. : )
  8. My mom is pretty nice. Yeah, I argue with her from time to time, but what teenager doesn't? Anyways, she lets me do most things and is pretty lenient. If I listen to her and do what she says, then everything is better than fine between us. [hide=My Dad]My dad is an "old-fashioned geek". That's where I get my geekiness from. I also got my temper from him. So we both get mad easily. Once one of us is mad, the other is mad. Then we get into a big argument, and I get punished. The punishments are getting worse and worse, but I have to say that's he's pretty nice for rarely grounding me. Anyways, back to the geek part. He has no idea about anything relating to modern culture. He also claims to have a British accent, but really just doesn't know how to pronounce words. (Can't blame him, he's an immigrant.) Also, he talks really loudly and often ignores people, although I don't know if it's purposely. Anyways, he acts like I'm a five year old. Literally. He buys me stuffed animals. (The only thing I do with stuffed animals are test out my fake "weapons" on them) He talks to me as if I'm a baby. In fact, he often acts like a five year old himself. One last thing...He never takes people seriously. He laughs at everything I say, even if I'm completely serious. Overall, all I have to say is my dad has issues. When he's good, he's not bad. When he's bad, which is often the case, he's terrible. He keeps my family alive, so I thank him for that.[/hide] [hide=My Sister]My sister and I are extremely alike. People say we look alike, but I've never seen the resemblance. Our personalities are also very similar. Other than our genders, the only big difference is that she's more into music and I'm more into computer/video games. We're both teenagers, so we understand each other pretty well. Also, we think pretty much the same way. We often think the exact same things. Once in a while, she says, "That's something I would say." I guess living with her my whole life does that. Anyways, our relationship can be uber-awesome-extremely good, good, neutral, bad and want-to-punch-you bad. Uber-awesome-extremely good is pretty nice, and it would be awesome for it to be like that all the time. This is when we're making jokes and both of us are laughing. Unfortunately, our hormones kick in and this rarely happens. Good is sort of neutral. It's when we're doing the same thing (Like watching the same TV) and not arguing. Neutral is usually the case. In fact, it's right now. It's when we're not interacting at all. Normally it's when I'm on my computer, and she's either holed up in her room, practicing an instrument or watching TV. Bad is...Bad. It's the aftermath of our heated arguments. It's when we're mad at each other but aren't expressing it. If only all our disagreements were like this... And want-to-punch-you bad is literally when we want to punch each other. Except, we always have some love for each other and never do. It's your normal teenage brother-sister argument. Except a little less bad. When we're not arguing, we get along fairly well. When we are, she's nearly as bad as my dad. Maybe even worse in some cases. [/hide] So overall, my family is nice. I'm glad that I only have one sibling, and that it's a sister, not a brother. Why? A brother would be too much like me, and we'd argue a lot more. Not to mention those arguments could get physical, which sucks.
  9. Sadly, it was #1 I know someone...Who knows someone...Who knows someone...Who knows that kid. I think. Anyways, I support Massachusetts. Obviously. But even more, I support Taiwan. They PWN. I don't know how they lost to Venezuela, but who cares, they still PWN.
  10. Not exactly. Well, actually, yes, but no. Boston College is mainly in Newton...Which is an excellent city. But I'm assuming you're saying that Boston is a great city, which it isn't exactly. Anyways, I've got a few years until college...But I already know where I want to go. In this order... MIT - All my friends want to go there. Few, if not none, will make it, but I can at least try. Harvard - My dad works at HSPH (School of Public Health). I've been to Harvard Square many times and it's a nice place. Not to mention a good amount of my friends want to go there too. Boston University - My mom went there for medical school or something. I can always follow her. National Taiwan University - Both my parents went here. The hospital is also where I was born. Not to mention Taiwan is pwnage and that I want to eventually move back there. Boston College - If all else fails, I suppose I always have BC.
  11. Definitely less going on than other cities I've been to, but the thing I absolutely loved about Boston is how new and clean the city feels. The city's architecture all around is really nice. Tons of history yet it doesn't feel old in a rundown kind of way like most big cities do. And I just love hearing Boston accents. :P New? Clean? I guess being a visitor rather than a resident can easily change your opinion. And did you pahk at Hahvahd? Or did you ride the T? Have some nice clam chowdah? :
  12. Because you're trying to type in my username to get to the channel. Don't. : Type in Bank_F2P. I'm back! Anyways, I have no idea what Clan Chat is as I've given up on checking RuneScape updates...Could someone fill me in? (And if I understand it afterwards, I can start one if needed to avoid confusion.) I'll probably forget to change my appearance, but I'll try to be at the next rally...Knowing me, I'll forget. :
  13. A list from the past month, during which I was in Taiwan. 300 (Twice) - I watched it on the airplane. The subtitles were in Chinese. So I couldn't hear most of it. But still, it was pretty good...Not as good as I expected, but I had really high expectations. I still don't see why so many people are obsessed with it. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (Twice) - The first time was the day after it came out. Plain English. No subtitles. It was pretty good for a movie based off a long book. The second time was after I read the 7th book. The last 20 minutes were in 3D and there were Chinese subtitles. Due to the fact that I read the 7th book, I found out that they missed a lot of things - Some important ones. But still, the 3D was pretty cool. Ratatouille - I hope I spelled it right. Anyways, once again with Chinese subtitles. It wasn't much, but the only thing that prevents me from saying it sucks is that the ending wasn't too cliched.
  14. When I was in Taiwan, we had 3 typhoons back to back. I found it rather fun, but that's because it wasn't too dangerous. (Except for the fact that I was in the middle of the mountains when it started, then had to ride a bus downhill, followed by running across a really large street in sandals (Without an umbrella) and riding the MRT (Kind of like a subway) above ground. It was fun watching the train get pummeled by water. Anyways, my advice (Which may not be good) is to stay inside. But then, my experiences are on the 4th floor of a building designed to resist earthquakes and typhoons.
  15. Ooh, lots of people came up here to Boston. Mainly for the colleges, but eh, still. How was it? :) I personally went to New York City and Taiwan. I just got back a few hours ago. It. Was. Awesome. Taipei is a great city. (Oh yeah, Harvard>Yale.)
  16. While walking home from school, I saw a chicken cross the street. In the middle of a decent-sized suburban city.
  17. I'm reading it right now, and it's pretty good. Whether or not it's a good book is an opinion, and people tend to have different opinions. So if I were you, I'd read the beginning. If you're hooked, keep reading. If it's decent, you might as well finish the book. If you think it sucks, maybe read a little more than stop if you still think it sucks.
  18. I haven't had to find the square root of an odd or prime number and I'm in High School, and I've been in Honors classes. In 9th grade we had to find the square roots of negative numbers. That is dealing with imaginary numbers though. But then again I took Algebra II in the 9th and I'm going to take Geometry in 10th. Then Trig./Calculus in 11th/12th. I guess it all depends on the school. I don't know what this guy's school is going to teach him. But whatever they'll teach, you'll be able to figure it out using the recommended calculator.
  19. I love how people are saying "You don't need one." In 6th grade, we had to do square roots. Okay, tell me the square root of 87 without a calculator. (Rounded to the nearest hundredth, of course) And that's just 6th grade, it gets harder in 7th and 8th. Anyways, I'd use the one that your school recommends. Even if you don't like it. There's a reason it's recommended.

Where I live, it mainly depends on the teacher, but it's usually no Wiki. For example, my science teacher last year recommended Wikipedia as a source. My history teacher this year, "Wikipedia is [cabbage]". But my history teacher has a pretty good reason to say that. His friend, while in college, had to write a paper about a battle in some war. (I forget which) He used Wikipedia, and according to Wiki, the battle never happened. He handed in the paper, and received an F. Why? The professor that taught the course fought in that battle. But it's rare that something like that happens...And yep, like other people have said, use the sources. (If anyone reading this wants to screw Wikipedia up to screw some students, then please, either go get a life or edit Uncyclopedia.)
  21. I don't know if this guy is... :-s Anyways...I agree with Azntemplar. Don't worry about it. The less you worry the better it'll be. Once you actually start middle school and have some problems, come back. I went to a middle school with 800-900 people...And I was a geek/nerd that got bullied...And I got straight A's...Yet I lasted easily. You say you're TAG, so grades should be no problem. As for bullies, ignore them and stick to your friends. (By the way...You can't spell yet you're in TAG? :-s )
  22. I just saw it again, this time with the last 20 minutes in 3D and with Chinese subtitles. And it was just as good. The 3D part was a little awkward...Only parts of the screen were 3D, while parts were 2D. And Runescapeloser, all of them, except Emma (I think) have been signed for the last 2 movies.
  23. Cool. I was recently on a short term mission trip and helped out at a camp...Pretty similar to what you did. Except they didn't call us "Teacher -name-", but rather "Mister -name-". And yes, it's awesome. It was to New York City...But even though it's only a few hundred miles to Boston, the lives of the kids there are completely different than mine. (That's why I wasn't here the past two weeks) Anyways, learn anything about the Taiwanese culture?
  24. Eh, so my two week lack-of-computer time is over. I'm glad to see that the rally went well, and I would attend the next one if I wasn't still in Taiwan. You see, the time difference makes it 3-5:30 in the morning. :( But when I get back home, I should be coming to every rally. And somewhat off-topic, but I may be unquitting RuneScape a little. See you in a few weeks!
  25. My usual day: Prevent the assassination of the future President Go emo when my wife and daughter get kidnapped Rescue my wife and daughter Go emo again when my wife gets murdered by my ex-girlfriend But seriously, your life sounds like mine. Except I'm in the middle of a month of traveling. But a week ago, yep, my life was exactly that. I'm happy with it, but if you aren't, don't do it. Do something that makes you happy.
