I've been thinking the same thing, I want to start a new character and level again but then I realise that all the new levelling stuff I like from the cata videos I've seen aren't in the live game so thus I'd just get annoyed and quit so I'm holding on (very loosely). Yeah, I want my human hunter goddamnit, so I'm thinking of holding on until Cataclysm is released (November sometime, right?). I doubt I will manage that though, so failing that, I'll at the very least need to wait until Uni starts again in September to get my financial stuff sorted out. I agree with this.

Oh god, sort of feeling the WoW-bug tugging at me again. Been following a few Cataclysm gameplay videos (looking good), and am currently playing through Warcraft 3 as well. But there isn't a TIF guild is there? What server do most (EU) TIFers play on? I sorta feel like creating a new character and it would be fun to play with familiar faces since none of my RL friends play anymore. Playing by myself always makes me quit again after a few days.

A lot of people treat Radiohead and NIN (more specifically Trent Reznor) like they're music gods. I myself don't get the appeal. Also, U2 and AC/DC.

Haha wow. You pay the same price as we do but you have like 20 bands more.

Got mine a few months ago. And honestly, Sonisphere in Sweden has had the worst damn planners I've ever experienced. It's a disgrace. Right now they're trying to sell their [cabbage]ty iPhone/Android app, for 4eur (completely ignoring the fact that Android apps that cost money aren't supported in Sweden yet). It contains cool features such as when and where the bands will perform (which they'll release on the website anyway... "soon"), exclusive videos and pictures and all the "happenings" in the festival area. Guys, it's a one day festival with two [bleep]ing stages. Don't think I'll have much of a problem finding the right stage. And those "happenings" will be Guitar Hero related. I just know it. And they advertised for the longest time that "plenty of other amazing bands will be announced in the coming months". Then once the tickets got sold out, we find out that those bands were Hammerfall, Warrior Soul and Imperial State Electric, and no band to replace Heaven & Hell with. Welp, at least I understand why they waited until they sold out all the tickets before making that announcement. ... Anyway. If you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay for your ticket, mcneilp?

For some reason, drivers who sniff my car's behind when I'm driving pisses me off something incredibly. Yes, I know you want to show your friends how badass you are by driving mere inches from my car, but I can't switch lanes right now because there is a [bleep]ing 18-wheeler on my right hand side, which I have to pass first. My knee-jerk reaction is to just slam my brakes. I have enough self-control to not do it, but man would it be satisfying for a split second or so before I go flying through the wind-shield. Not sure why it makes me so angry. I think it's the smugness of it.

Reading Ulf Lundell's "Jack" at the moment. Ulf Lundell is like Sweden's answer to Bob Dylan. He started out as a writer though, and wrote Jack when he was in his 20's. Really good book and very much relatable.

I dropped my 3GS in the sea during midsummer and it stopped working. A note to you all, breast-pockets are not reliable cell-phone holders. Insurance covers most of it though. So I "just" have to scrape together 200eur, which will probably take until uni starts. I feel so naked without my iPhone. Whenever I'm out and have some random question float through my head with no way of figuring out the answer. Or take a photo. Or if I need directions somewhere. Or check my Facebook and mail. Or tune my guitar in a loud environment etc. etc. It stinks.

I prefer the B.B. King and Gary Moore version. One of my favourite live performances as well. [hide][/hide] Some others: [hide][/hide] Zakk Wylde doing a live acoustic version of Machine Gun Man. This is pre-BLS and pre-beard. I like how he just seems like he's playing Mary Had A Little Lamb or something, not even slightly stressed. [hide][/hide] Nils Lofgren - Keith Don't Go. The man performing an acoustic "guitar lesson" of this song. Doing a solo with both flageolet tones and artificial harmonics on an acoustic guitar is incredibly badass. [hide][/hide] Zakk Wylde doing the solo to Sold My Soul. [hide][/hide] A quite poor quality video of Ten Years After's "I'd Love To Change the World". There's some new singer/guitar player (Joe Gooch) performing the solo and it's fantastic. The sweeping bit in particular. Solo starts at 2:55. [hide][/hide] Black Label Society - In This River (live). Zakk Wylde doing a tribute to his best friend. A bit of guitar [bleep]ery there but still very nice.

Really been enjoying Trentemøller recently. I don't know what genre it is but it is electronic, and it is chill as all hell. Oh the bass.

This is me. The thought that all my thoughts and memories will cease to exist and I will never ever get to see any of my loved ones again. Not my family, friends, (potential) wife or kids, anyone. Anyone. It makes me sick. What was once a caring, laughing, creative, angry, sad, happy, loving, thoughtful, conscious being is now nothing but a dark void. Nothing more.

It should say this on the box, in big red letters. I played it for around 5 years, but I never let it grab hold of me nor affect my social life. But I know people who got really sucked into it. If you have an addicting personality, stay far far away from WoW.

Tried In Extremo? They're a bit folkier though. edit: also, try Ooomph!. They're a lot more Rammstein-esque.

I used to tear off wallpaper from the wall, and pages from books and eat them. I also ate plants we had in the house. I once also grabbed a knife from the kitchen drawer and proceeded to stab the everliving [cabbage] out of our leather sofa. And when I was a bit older and allowed to roam around the neighbourhood without parental supervision, I used to gather with a group of friends up on a mountain. There was a car road right next to said mountain, and we used to stand up there and throw (or roll) down stuff on cars driving by (bags containing various types of fluids, waterballoons, big stones which we would roll down). The point was to piss them off so that they'd get out of their cars and run after us. Oh, the adrenaline rush. Yes, I was a [cabbage]ty little kid and I feel bad about all of this today. Especially the throwing stuff on cars, having a license myself now. Seeing a bunch of rocks roll down onto the road towards me would freak me the hell out. Back then, however, cars were just large moving targets, and if you hit a bullseye it resulted in people chasing you which was always fun.

Well yes, but when hasn't it been? They do it because it works, and as someone who has never owned a Nintendo product in my life, the games they showed seriously look like a [cabbage]load of fun! I need to convince someone I know to buy a Wii.

Gaben out of [bleep]ing nowhere.

Nintendo is [bleep]ing pimp! I have never owned a Nintendo product but I'm honestly considering it now.

Did anyone catch Activision's presentation?
-
"YOU WILL TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK" How about no, you strange little midget. The other presenter kicked ass though.
-
Hahah oh god, I just don't know what the [bleep] anymore. The "announcement" at the end? Was that a game... or do the French just really like MJ? I just... unghh. Laughed my ass off though I'll give them that.

Hahaha I haven't laughed this much in a long time. It's just a beautiful trainwreck. "Breathing can boost your immune system!"- Ubisoft 2010
