  2. It doesn't encourage movement. Staying in a very small area doing nodes and creatures if there are no good nodes is better than constantly moving to find the best nodes. (You aren't gaining xp when you move, and often by the time you reach places the nodes have moved or will do so soon.)
  3. It's been a while since snaps were 500k/run on average (counting deaths, using jujus)

  7. I am pretty sure this was due to effigies being removed, which made slow skills even slower (since effigies helped those most?) and Suomi had a lot more of the slower skills done? Could be wrong though.
  8. They've been perfectly visible to me.. We've even discussed the weekend events in this thread. Jagex did post on the front page on Friday that it would be this last weekend. Sure, it might be possible for it to be easier? But you clearly knew that one of these weekends would have a beta event. If you wanted, you could check consistently to find out when the event was planned.. (I know that this particular event was delayed a week, so that is in your favor) I don't think its a matter of Jagex not making it more visible, but more of a matter of players simply not caring enough about the beta to stay on top of these things.
  9. Livid farm is played on Lunar island and gives magic, farming, construction, and other xps, as well as unlocking new lunar spells that are very useful. You get around 40k/hr avg which is higher than even trees are (real time average, through trees are more time efficient for in-game time spent)
  10. If you spend all your money every month, you are budgeting perfectly for your level of income, but I'm sure there are things in your life you could stop doing to save money. (Runescape, TV/Cable/Netflix/Movies, Eating out, travel/gas, etc.) Most of the time, (though not always) people tend to forget the things they have that are luxury and assume they are required.
  11. Jagex have said they won't sell non-cosmetic items in the solomon store. Obviously they can change their stance on this. However, *currently* the store doesn't sell non-cosmetic items. I refuse to judge based on possible future actions they could take. Their track record is not great (Wildy/Free Trade revival, Squeel of Fortune buying spins, and their change of heart about RWT) However, the store currently is perfectly fine.
  12. I don't hate solomon. I dislike buyable spins, but Solomon's store (as it currently is) is pretty neat. If it gets non-cosmetics, then I would be disappointing.
  13. Once you hit 70s, that would be the herblore habitat? Slow, painful, but it would be xp for "free".. Generally speaking, high level dungeoneers already have soul split and turmoil...
  14. But you can cannon hellhounds, which for an efficient slayer list for xp, is very much more worth your time than dusties, which can be done but are less efficient in terms of xp/hr. They're still worth doing afaik either way. If you aren't going to cannon then there is no point in discussing efficient slayer block list, really... At any rate, dusties would give better charms than hellhounds.

  16. Jad's challenge is mostly due to people who are unable to prayer swap. Gano does make it easier, but you really need gano + eagle eye kite shield or he still hits a bit too high. Mostly its due to panic when you try to spam brew and mess up on focus. There will be players who can't succeed regardless of how easy you might think it has become.

  18. I think you can get more points if you get some of each color of each resource as well as some of each resource?
  19. Yes, it would be nice of rs has some end game stuff, but.. usually all it ends up being is another way to increase xp/hr to max/comp cape. Dungeoneering is probably the closest thing.
  20. It's not as big a deal when you are limited to a 2x or 3x boost but still have to do the skill. It would mean that daily records are only 3x what they were. It would never breach the effigy "daily record" wall, because those you could actually open lamps and get xp super fast. I don't see the issue of being able to store the xp necklaces. Records would already be by bxpw anyways since those lasted longer than the 24-30 hr days that trackers used.
  21. I did dungeons around when the beta first came out. I actually found it to be fairly easy, but that wasn't on a 5:5, so.. at least duo/soloing was simpler since there were abilities that healed. I think they nerfed those too much now though.. They really need to fallback on spawns, or monster strength, or add a lot more binds. The nice thing about binds would be that you could have more full gear like they intended. Another issue is that protection prayers don't stop 100% of the damage so you still take a lot more damage than you would normally running through a dungeon. (Since even with boosted lifepoints that's useless if you don't have food to back it up.)
  22. Negative weight should have an impact, or do something cool (Make us float like lunar?!) Because it would be awesome then.
  23. Not true. You get significantly more xp as you level up (from lamps). You could probably do it close to 1/10th if you started at 90, but it takes a fair amount of time to reach those levels.
  24. I like the necklace idea :) Better than lamps since you have to actually use resources/time in the skill.
