Both of these articles were pretty depressing. I don't feel like the game is ending, if anything the quality of the updates has been steadily increasing to me. The fact that the Bot Nuke was as much a success as it was... that is impressive. I didn't think it would be possible. I don't see how anyone would expect bot developers to go away, though. So I don't feel like it wasn't a success. It just couldn't be a permanent solution. As for doubts about the game, I play, I have fun, I love chatting/talking with old time friends on the game. There are some amazing people I would never have met except that this game brought us together.

I agree with hedgehog. We shouldn't calculate enjoyment because that leads to an impossibly complex issue. Counting time played vs real time is an issue. Time played should be used for determining how efficient a method is, but real time should be used for determining how efficient a player is being overall. Using real time for a method doesn't make sense. However, APM is useful, as it GP/hr you can obtian. Since it is fairly easy to factor in money by simply saying "If Method A costs 3x as much as Method B but takes half the time, and during that remaining time you would have been doing Method B, you can earn more gp than it cost you to do Method A over Method B, then Method A is more efficient" That is a definite, objective way to determine whether A is better than B, as long as you know how much gp a player can make during the time "regained" by doing the faster more expensive method. Real time is difficult, because it also factors into someone's "fun".

Z spear (or goliath gloves with no wep if you have it), Pray turmoil, extreme set potions, and flash soul split. Use a bunyip familiar. Waterfiend's range attack is based on mage defense, so Gano should work great there. You won't need pro ranged all the time. (But if you do, just use it and flash ss when you need health, then go back to ranged) With a unicorn you could survive without ranged pray or ss at all. But turmoil is definitely worth the prayer, as it will have a huge impact on kills. With gano, you should even be able to just flash ss with turmoil and not need much food (especially considering your str and attack levels). CMaul would be good if you had it too, but not as good as goliath gloves.

Go try for 126 F2P combat (so calculate level without summoning!) :) But, gratz :) Still a great achievment

Fun is subjective, which leads to difficulty in calculating. When talking about the game, it is not really relevant to factor in circumstance outside the game. Efficiency in terms of gp, xp, or time is possible to calculate. Other forms of maximising input/output are not easy to calculate, therefor are less relevant when discussing efficiency. But there *is* something to be said for saying that doing something AFK is more efficient than logging out.

They really need to increase the cap for loyalty points... it takes so long to get anything half way decent. Particularly the higher upgrades get very expensive. I would love a reset.... I could undo all the emotes and titles. However, the discounts were kinda nice.. (1/10th cost for first title and aura). Especially as I now know that some of the auras just aren't worth that much.. equilibrium..... (way to expensive)

it doesn't look tooo shabby.. I dislike the mask far more than the bow. But there's nothing *exciting* about it either...

It is the best offensive ranged bonus, mage book is nearly double it at 15, I believe. Also, the pages are stinking rare now.

However, you can put the XP in any skill. So once one slow skill is finished put it into another, and the JoT will last a fairly long time.

They're actually quite good at the moment, 290k a seed, 34k an herb. But.. you have to have remote farm so that very few of them die. Without remote farm, I wouldn't do torstols, as deaths hit you a lot harder than other seeds (where the bigger loss becomes time). My average for torstols with t1 green fingers (and jujus of course.. if you don't have those no real way torstols would profit) has been just about 9-10 per live herb.

Since you have to have them all in order, just do it. Unless there was another aura you wanted to save up for..

Right. I'm aware that it happens. I am suggesting that it should be changed to not allow false positives.

Which is a dumb system. Relying on *old* passwords, which have most likely been changed because of two reasons a) a hacker changed it and b) the password was compromised so the original user changed it. But the recovery process should never allow an illegitimate user gain control of an account. But.. if most changed passwords are due to hacks, I guess old passwords are a way to verify the user. Just opens the door for someone to break that system...

Processes like lawsuits are slow, and generally kept private as far as I know... not sure we'll get that much detail.

You should be using random answers (different from other recovery question answers) anyways. But you're right, if they know your IP, email, credit details for membership, and so on... There isn't much you can do.

I would suggest killing dragons while raising prayer, and summoning to useful levels for higher combat situations. Dragons are decent money, and you don't have access to the monsters that would be worth more gp/hr. Once you have higher prayer and such, then you can focus on other skills, or quests to unlock content. I'd count your blessings, as 18m xp in each combat stat takes a fair while.

And how exactly would you do the addition to come up with the value the string would store? Answer: Using longs or BigInt By requesting the string from the highscore database (which already had the capability to add large numbers). The game server/client wouldn't need to be able to access the number as anything but a string.

I know the crafting plot has pretty generous xp rates, especially considering that its free (once you are in a clan with t5 citadel), but I don't know much about mining.

If its already higher than what you bought, I would sell quickly, as hype on these will die pretty fast..

But only if you count time offline, in which case sleeping is major xp waste...

Agreed. Selection bias, confirmation bias, where we tend to focus only on positive data that supports our pre-believed conclusions.

The goliath gloves might be better than whip there, but probably not better than rapier. I do like the gloves a lot though. Quyneax is right though, most monsters don't have enough defense bonus against one style to make a noticeable difference between weapons of same accuracy. Goliath gloves should be about the same bonus and speed as whip, though.
