  1. Personally I like to tank range them. I wore: Sara Coif Karil Top Karil Skirt Inf Boots Crystal Bow Fury RoW Barrow Gloves Accumulator I could kill them considerably fast, I don't know if it was the set-up or the fact I have 97 range. They hit a considerable amount though when they do hit.. It was hard for me to keep my health up even with a bunyip. Maybe I didn't bring enough "buffer" food to keep me filled until I could get more raw shark or swordie drops. With a Uni though you could stay practically forever... or at least until you run out of scrolls.
  2. I believe SW is extremely bad training for any skill other than HP. Granted you get 6 points per hour if you win. Not to mention only a max of what 10-20k ranged exp/game. If that. If I were you I would stick with regular training.
  3. I would have to agree. Move up to Chaeldar. [hide=Chaeldar's Tasks]* Aberrant Spectres * Banshees * Basilisks * Blue Dragons * Bloodvelds * Brine Rats * Bronze Dragons * Cave Crawlers * Cave Horrors * Crawling Hands * Dagannoths * Dust Devils * Elves * Fever Spiders * Fire Giants * Gargoyles * Harpie Bug Swarms * Infernal Mages * Jellies * Jungle Horrors * Kalphites * Kurasks * Lesser Demons * Mutated Zygomites * Shadow Warriors * Trolls * Turoths * Warped Tortoises[/hide]
  4. This exactly. Just get all the pots and buckets filled before you start worshiping. Hop onto a PvP world and then worship away. Ecto there, worship, duel/glory tele, bank and then repeat. I have never searched it out but I would think that there would be noone there. It's not even a popular place to be on non PvP worlds so I don't see a point in people PK'ing there.
  5. You can cannon Yaks but you have to set the cannon up next to the fence and you have to be behind the fence in order for it to be effective. Otherwise you are just going to be cannoning the one that's attacking you. There's videos of it on Youtube if I am not mistaken. It would probably be more beneficial to use a MSB or Rune Cbow that way you have a longer range and you don't keep trying to run up next to them.
  6. Everyone has a different definition of "useful"... for Ray right now useful is getting some good exp. If he wanted profit over exp than he should (and most likely would) range Aviansies to get 250-350k gp an hour. Its preference. Oh and Ray, you should know that Yaks get crowded as hell very fast and they aare full or inconsiderate people.. The ones that log in and see 6 people already there but they just start killing instead of hopping.. Common courtesy is out the window when it comes to Yaks.
  7. Like I told you in-game the max you are going to get (with void) will be 50-60k... 60k is under, of course, the best conditions. That means you pay attention and there is at most 2 other people with you. I am at Yaks right now so I'll do some testing to have solid results.. I can report back to you later today.
  8. Death Plateau is the best place if you are not going to cannon them (and even if you are its not bad) Just keep a Games Necklace in your invent for quick'er' banking. Also you can either melee or range them. Melee'ing them is faster, of course, but I personally usually range them as it's one of the better tasks to range, at least in my eyes. DON'T skip this task, it is an easy one.
  9. Ok well I gave up on thieving... again for the 3rd time. This time it wasn't because of boredom though. I was pretty much seeing if I could push myself to get thieving done in the 3 weeks I had left before my summer vacation started and I started to do a stat I planned on getting 99 in. Needless to say I only got to 75 but it wasn't bad and I may consider going back soon. Here is the kicker I was planning on starting mining June 1st. However I do not think mining will be a part of the big 99 bash. Before I could start mining, other things occupied my attention from RS and I did not start mining at all on june 1st... I actually didn't play RS until the end of July. 50 days later here I am back on RS. Instead of picking up where I left off I chose to go a slightly different route. And I have started ranging since I have wanted it and am very close to it either way. So ranged will be my next 98... followed by who knows either hunter, thieving or something profitable. Hopefully I will be able to stick to it and get hunting done that way I will have some cash for 98 mage. Then I could possibly be able to finish off the year with thieving and then do some rc'in until I decide to have the party. I also had planned to do some FM'in but with the recent price jumps on just about every item I might not have the money to do so. Only time will tell.
  10. The Godswords are really only good for their specs. Other than that their uses are limited as far as exp/hour goes since a whip deal more damage per *insert time period here* Other than the specials I don't see any use for them. ---- Also the ZGS was used primarily at Saradomin GWD. Keeping Zil in one spot was a great way to kill the boss. I say was because I am unsure if it still a viable option for killing her or not.
  11. Though I agree with Ray (a rarity) the question was which is the faster of the exp. I have done all 3 and I was not to fond of Falconry.. I felt like I wasn't getting the results others made it out to be. Of the 3 I would stick with red sallys until 70 or even 80. However, after 63 with red sally should you need money, do red chins.
  12. Yes it does but why waste the expensive chins on defence exp. You can get over 300k range exp/hour using the short fuse. Why waste the money on expensive defence exp. You can get over 100k def exp/hour with a number of methods. You only get that much range exp with 1 method, chinning. Which is rather expensive.
  13. It depends on your con level. [*:26bpn7lw]If you are 74 do oak doors. [*:26bpn7lw]If you are 33 do oak larders until 74 and then do oak doors. [*:26bpn7lw]If you are lower than 33 do whatever you can until 33 for oak larders. Simple as that.
  14. When I was slaying I used both.. Sometimes the bunyip didn't keep up even with 99 defence. So I just slap on my guthans and healed up. Just a preference I suppose but I like to keep my health in the green.

Well knowing your stats would be beneficial but since you did no post them I will give you the place I like to use at my level (129 cmb) Armourzed Zombies the only thing you have to pay attention to is when they become unaggressive and when you need to recharge prayer (every 2-3 mins) then banking when you run out of pots.
  16. Well more like estimates. I recently got 96 range and well the methods I am using are simply too slow... So I have decided to chin the rest of the way. The question is about how many chins should I need. I know starting at 85 and going to 99 it was estimated at 40-50k red chins. How many of that 40-50k would of been used on the last 3 levels of ranging? (Just looking for a rough guess of course) Although if someone kept track of how many chins they used per level that would be fantastic. Money is not a problem, my focus for the next week or 2 will be strictly money and I should be able to accumulate at least 60m worth of wealth in that time. Also, I do not need information on HOW to chin I already have done it before and know what works for me. All I need are estimates. Thank you.
  17. Mage void has yet to become useful. However, Range void is all I use and after level 90 range is all anyone should use when training. The only place it's usefulness declines is when boss hunting certain things. Melee void is also good for things like Waterfiends, but that is about it so far. IMO Range void was more than worth the time and since I have melee void that was worth the time to get the 250 for the helm I needed. Range void should be the first set you get though.
  18. Firstly everyone spend hours and hours doing those 3 quests.. they are among the longest in the game. SW is faster than PC. Armoured ZOMBIES and Zombie monkeys are faster than SW. Zombie Monkies are faster than AZ's too. So it looks like this Zombie Monkeys with DH > Armoured Zombies > SW > PC. I know you don't have a fury that's why I gave you 2 suggestions. Either get one and train with Non-Dead monsters or get a Salve Ammy (E) and train on the 'Un-dead' ones.
  19. Well I am not going to give you prices of everything, that's your job to look up. However, I will give you a method. [*:2s4ksy8v]Crude Wooden Chairs until Wooden Bookcases (lvl 4) [*:2s4ksy8v]Wooden Bookcases until Wooden Larders (lvl 9) HERE it can vary a bit but I did [*:2s4ksy8v]Wooden Larders until Repair Bench (lvl 15) or Crafting Table 1 (lvl 16) [*:2s4ksy8v]Either of those 2 until level 33. At 33 do oak larders until level 60. That's pretty much what I did and if you have all the materials bought before hand you can pretty much get 1-60 in a day. The cost of the rooms for the things I have told you to make I can give you though. Parlour is 1k Kitchen is 5k Workshop is 10k Total Spend on rooms is 16k. At level 40, you can speed up your exp even more thus getting to 60 in probably 2 or 3 hours. If you hire a butler. In this case you will need to spend another 20k on 2 bedrooms 1 for you and one for the butler. It is well worth it though. You simply give the butler noted planks, tell him to unnote them and by the time he gets back you should of been able to build and remove 2-3 oak larders. Just rinse and repeat.
  20. A full bank helps when doing certain things that fill up your inventory. For example runecrafting using the ZMI you can save time from clicking every rune to deposit and use the deposit inventory button. Since your bank is full your pouches wont be deposited. Umm as other people have said. Tele items with multiple teleports are good for a lot of inv spaces. [*:1vhcb1pv]Lyres (0-4) (use a sea turtle to get 4 teles instead of 2) [*:1vhcb1pv]Duel Rings (1-8) [*:1vhcb1pv]Games Necklaces (1-8) [*:1vhcb1pv]Skills Necklaces (0-4) [*:1vhcb1pv]Glory Ammys (0-4) [*:1vhcb1pv]Elf Tele Crystals (0-3) That's 35 spaces right there. Also bolts are good. Just buy 1 of each bolt. There should be 3 of each. You have your plain metal bolts, darts, Javs (not dragon): [*:1vhcb1pv]Bronze [*:1vhcb1pv]Iron [*:1vhcb1pv]Steel [*:1vhcb1pv]Black [*:1vhcb1pv]Blurite (bolts) [*:1vhcb1pv]Mithril [*:1vhcb1pv]Addy [*:1vhcb1pv]Rune [*:1vhcb1pv]Dragon Also don't forget Jeweled bolts + Jeweled bolt (e): [*:1vhcb1pv]Sapphire [*:1vhcb1pv]Emerald [*:1vhcb1pv]Ruby [*:1vhcb1pv]Diamond [*:1vhcb1pv]Dragonstone [*:1vhcb1pv]Onyx [*:1vhcb1pv]Opal [*:1vhcb1pv]Jade [*:1vhcb1pv]Pearl [*:1vhcb1pv]Red-Topaz That should take up a sizeable amount of space.
  21. Or you know, when using Range, stay the hell out of melee range and pray from range... Magic rarely is used, and barely hits in Karils/Dragonhides. In my experience, which is over 500 mithril dragons (no DFH btw oh yea!) I have found my trips to last longer when I stay within melee distance. I have even been able to kill a max of 11 on 1 trip. (Without a DFS I might add).
  22. I would sometimes have trouble with 90 but I suppose it is possible if you are only killing 1. Just make sure to use all your best stuff and be smart. Also when attacking stay within melee range and pro melee. This will limit his range attacks to a few.
  23. 1% of Google[plex] is massive :| Anyhow, the reality is, if you want to train efficiently you WILL need to do a few quests, You WILL need to make more money and you WILL need to make an effort in getting the right items. Sure you can use the Dscim/Rdf combo. It's cheap, Effective, but it's not fast. Alternatively you can spend some time making money, get dharok's/ss, get to 99 str, then re-sell the equipment. Pretty much this. Spend the time to get the Salve Ammy (e).. TRUST ME, it is well worth the effort. In fact the quests for that were the only things keeping me back from doing it but I finally did it and Armoured Zombs are my fav place to train now. Also know that you do not have to finish 'Defender of Varrock' to gain access to AZ's. Just do up the the part where the kings servant stops following you. I am yet to complete the quest but I can train at AZ's whenever. You will definitely have to spend time gaining money as well to at least gain access to a Fury Ammy. Looking at your bank you don't even have a Scimmy to train str with. Unless you do actually plan on getting a Salve Ammy (e). If you get the Salve Ammy (e) than spend your money on a set of Dharoks instead of the Fury Ammy and train on Ape Atoll Zombie monkeys instead. Check out THIS GUIDE! for more information on that. If you do want to get a Fury than go buy a D scimmy and do the quest to unlock AT LEAST Initiate (Proselyte is much better though) Than kill green dragons with your d scim and prosy/initiate. Now you are gaining about 23k exp/hour and upwards of 250-300k an hour. If you want you can do that until you are 93 str and you will have enough money for all your spending needs I promise. Also, if you did not already know, do not get sucked into the hype of the Godsword if you do in fact do the green dragons until 93 str. Godswords are a terrible way to TRAIN a combat skill. Stick with the Sara Sword which you will actually be able to resell after you are done training for a minimal loss if not even a profit. *This is just from my experiences and opinions.*
  24. Its best to use Short Fuse at all times when chinning on Ape Atoll. Refer to THIS! guide for more information.
  25. Well I have to disagree with you. Slayer in a matter of speaking does "suck" for combat exp. For one, you say slayer trains more skills at once. You fail to realize though, that if you are going to talk about combat exp than talk about combat skills. The slayer exp and levels gained have nothing to do with the combat exp. So the only thing that actually makes you train more stats is the actual slayer skill. If you train controlled on slayer you level 5 skills if you train controlled without slayer its 4 skills. Slayer is the only difference maker. Also getting 40k slayer exp, as Campbell has said, would mean you are getting what 160k melee exp. Now think of how much you will have to spend on that 160k melee exp. (which I think is a very long stretch to say you can get 40k slayer exp in an hour) Well in any case, to get said 40k slayer exp what would you really need to do? Piety + cannon every task, and speaking of tasks you would need to get all good tasks for that hour which again is rare. (Even with the ability to block and skip tasks) Whereas with armoured zombies you pay nothing and gain money for more COMBAT exp for 50k exp/hour less. Now I don't know many people that can afford to piety + cannon every task and if they could I don't even think they would. So lets recap here: Did I miss anything? Am I wrong to say that 40k slayer exp in an hour is hard pressed, seeing as I can remember some hardcore slayers saying that getting 70k slayer exp in a day was as good as they could hope for? Did I interpret your thread wrong?
