  1. Aw that's a shame... I can appreciate that everyone has different tastes.. but London FTW! I love this place, hopefully I'll live here the rest of my life. Though I'll probably go to uni elsewhere...
  2. My point exactly! =D> Gotta go now, cya tomorrow.

  4. Has anyone ever got what you get when you upgrade the Flower Power Tower? (ie when it costs 15k)
  5. Yeah you can do that with Kendal Mint Cakes! Snap them in half in a pitch black room (seriously, there cant be ANY! light at all, absolutely none. ) and it'll make a big spark, it's soooo cool! Uber cool1
  6. You consider the production of the Nintendo Wii bad? OK, I can deal with that. But, you also listen to Muse? -Points to the door- :P Your point is? muse rule and i should be going to wembley stadium :-) Shouldn't we all? Some people seriously say they are the best band the world has ever seen. Well Matt is very talented... but hey let's not spammy. :-w #-o
  7. I'm really not sure. I think you might include a v. v. short flashback... what is it about the death of a wise creature than upsets him? Also I think you should add more detail as he finishes off the bear, and possibly make the sentences shorter around where he first sees the bear to create tension and maybe a little more description about the bear to make us feel sorry for him. But yeah I think you should end where he decides to end its pain.
  8. Wow that is an interesting question. Right now I'm working on quite a few things, I am usually inspired by books, music, or a certain thing I want to write about. For instance the smallest thing like a child smiling or a plastic bag blowing about can be a whole poem of its own. 1000 Miles From Home - inspired by Michelle Magorian, one of the world's best and most underrated authors A story... - inspired by YOU! which in turn was inspired by me, I think. Oh too complicated Several poems, one of them is based on the chorus of 'Every Smile For Me' a poem I wrote... I like choose names carefully, I think that it one of the most important things ever in a story. I like to set my stories in the past and in general my poems in the modern day. I like to include something happy and something sad. Often I include trees... there's something very special to me about trees. I also like to include smiles as much as possible... yeah smiles and trees. (Rock on smiles and trees. We love you!)

  10. Second, definitely. Even the first sentence is quite mysterious and suspicious... but I would change it to something like Just changing a few words can make it sound so different. I think you need to make the whole thing more detailed and smooth, but overall I most enjoyed the second one and it gives an interesting start to a story.
  11. Wikipedia isn't a trusted source...
  12. So around ten thousand years ago. 9. Peyton Randolph was the first president of the Continental Congress, which isn't the US presidency. He was succeeded by Henry Middleton, who would also be not called a president of the USA. 10. Not justifiable, they use a been or pungi that is made from a gourd. So some of the answers are just weird. Thanks for missing the whole thread, Viktor. 1. He anulled 4 of his weddings, this means to cancel it out, as if it never happened. Completely different to a divorce. 2. I explained a few posts ago, nostrils are not always external/tip of the nose. Fish have nostrils, but have no nose. 3. A whale's gullet is very small. Come on, what does the mammel feed on? Krill. Krill is about the size of your fingernail. It doesn't need a very big gullet. 5. Perovskite makes up a very large percentage of the Earth's mantle. The area alone of the mantle is a large percentage of the whole of the planet. 6. The most recent re-reading made it to be 616. Most definitions go by the most recent update, right? 7. You completely missed this one. Like I said in the answer, 4 of them are COMMONWEALTHS. Not the same thing. 8. Wikipedia isn't exactly a great source of information. It's open to change from anyone. TECHNICALLY we are in an ice age, geographers define an ice age as when there are polar ice caps. We are nearing the end of an ice age, most people interpret an ice age as when ice covers the world, but the ice - due to global temperatures - have retreated to the poles. 9. Once again, it's the first president of AMERICA, not USA. Big difference. 10. Ever watched any wildlife documentarys featuring snakes? Have you watched when a snake spots something? It will twist and weave in an attempt to lure it's prey and disguise an attack. "Charmed" snakes just watch the flute because it's been trained to watch something, generally something inside the flute, but it can't tell the difference when there's nothing there. Re-read the thread and then "justify" that the answers I provided are wrong. 1 - it doesn't change the fact that he did marry. The records and religious things may have been deleted but the fact remains that Henry 8th married six different women. And anyway even if he did annul 4 weddings, he would have married twice. Whereas in your first post you say he married four times.. 2. Actually... the definition of a nostril is a small opening at the end of the nose. 5. A 'material' can be either a matter or a fabric... so depending on how you look at it... 6. Where the heck did you get that from? Can you supply a source, please?
  13. you seem to be quoted what i said on your "onw thousand miles" thread issy! :P Well I think you said very intelligent things on that thread... and some of them apply here too! :D :
  14. Agreed. 5 second delay would just slow down trade. Seriously, if people don't want to get scammed, they should help themselves and check the screen themselves. Personally I think if someone gets scammed because they didnt check the screen... they'll learn a lesson from it and it won't happen again. Nowadays people are playing RS at a faster and faster pace. I don't think a delay would be welcomed. This faster pace your talking of is exactly whatcauses scams, 5 seconds isnt a long time out of your life, and it itsaves 20,000 people from getting scammed im all for it, i have been trade scammed multiple times, when tired or drunk and if the trade screen had a delay it wouldnt happen. WHICH IS WHY you check the trade screen. Don't play if you're tired or drunk. Anyway it's a computer game. Nothing I'd call important. So just learn to check it, it's not a hard thing to do.
  15. i disagree. The more people quite RS the better.
  16. *tut tut* I hope your ok. I'm assuming you're not replying cos the internet's down... but yeah, I'm sure your mum's fine.
  17. Don't try and limit her water intake. If she needs to vomit and drinking water will help her bring it up, as far as I know though there is a small chance I'm wrong about this, that's what you need to let her do. It's better than it all staying inside her. Also a friend of mine had a dog who was about 16 and having similar problems and had an illness. They went on a holiday (with the dog) to the far countryside away from all the pollution and noise and cars and everything... and voila within two weeks the dog was back to normal. So maybe talk to your parents and see about going for a unstressful short holiday in the middle of nowhere. However I know my own dog would hate that as she can't stand being away from home! So I think it depends on what she's like. Try and keep her happy, be gentle with her. (which I'm sure you are already) Meh... take her to the vet's... ASAP otherwise I can't suggest anything. Good luck, I hope she's ok! Also on a side note what on earth don't your parents want the dog to go to the vet's? That's just absurd.
  18. To quote my good friend Lee - Chavs tend to be violent, aggressive, unsociable, hang around in large gangs attacking defenceless people, and in general wear tracksuit bottoms, some kind of baggy top, tacky 'bling'. I'm not saying all people who dress like that are violent... it's just a general stereotype.
  19. Meh I think it needs quite a bit of editing. For instance in certain parts there's grammatical mistakes and such, and maybe try adding in a bit of imagery - similies, metaphors, and joining the sentences together to make it flow more and become a 'smoother read' But yeah I really enjoyed reading it - it seems like a fun story, and caught my attention. Nice job. :)
  20. Really bad stuff (in my opinion, let's not get into a debate about this) Hanging of Saddam Huseein Creation of the Wii Changing schools Pete winning Big Brother The Ashes. (Need I say more? You all know what I'm gonna say anyway.) Wimbledon cold squash courts Best stuff 'Sound of Music' coming out at the London Paladium Same for the cast changes of Billy Elliot, Victoria Theatre Holiday in North Wales :D:D:D:D:D:D The Kooks Edit - Muse coming to Wembley Stadium. :-w :-w :-w Not much good stuff for me. 2006 sucked. Well half of it did anyway... :(
  21. Isn't that just the American accent? :? I've always pronounced it that way. I don't see how you could really pronounce it wrong? :? I've always said it. .. Neh-var-der[/b]
  22. Insulted badly. WYR die at the age of 55 having led a good life or the age of 90 having had aan average life?
  23. You live in the actual city of London? Or is it the outskirts? I always imagined you more in either Southampton or Portsmouth or Manchester. Don't know why. :anxious: A few miles from the centre. :D :D This place pwns the world! I can get to central London in about 15-30 minutes. O:)
