Points are added when you actually siphon a rune. The fact what's in your inventory gets moved from the middle score to the top score is a bit irrelevant.

I agree with all your things you class as good for a successful update except twitch gaming. I'm level 138 with high level gear and extreme pots and still can't kill Jad. There are a lot of people like me as well. Some people don't have good enough computers or internet connections, others just physically can't click fast enough. Certainly within my group of friends, who are mostly much older players, there is a disproportional number of players who still haven't killed Jad despite having high stats and good equipment. Perhaps it's an age thing? I am actually enjoying these last two updates. I don't see them as being AFK like perhaps you do. I often spend a lot of time in-game just standing at a bank chatting to people. The runespan for me has enabled me to get significant amounts of xp while still chatting and socialising with friends rather than just sitting in varrock bank. We call out nodes and wizard locations and if one of us finds a runesphere we go there. Just because you CAN click on a node or logs on a fire and then go and watch tv, play xbox, make a sammich etc doesn't mean you HAVE to.

DDOSing in runescape
Getting a new Ip isnt a perfect solution as it can be easily found out again. Try the following: Block all inbound traffic where the source address is from your internal networks. Why in the world would there be traffic on the outside that originates from the inside? This is a sign that someone is spoofing you. Block all outbound traffic where the source address isn't from your internal networks. This is the inverse of #1: there's never any reason for your network to emit traffic that's sourced from some other network. Somone on the inside is spoofing someone else (we have a term for such people: employee). Block all inbound and outbound traffic where the source or destination addresses are from the private address ranges. Defined in RFC1918, these addresses are for use in internal networks; ISPs agree not to route such traffic. Of course, ISPs make configuration mistakes, too; I've seen traffic with these addresses on the Internet. So don't trust that your ISP is perfect, block the stuff yourself. And remember to include the Windows automatic private IP addressing block. The ranges, then, are: 10.0.0.0/8, 172.16.0.0/12, 192.168.0.0/16, and 169.254.0.0/16. Block all source-routed packets. Way back in 1970, when "routers" were Unix computers running a routing deamon, they weren't all that reliable. So IP includes a provision for the headers of a packet to indicate the route the packet should take from its source to its destination. Source-routing was necessary then, but it's completely unnecessary today: routers are some of the most reliable gear around. Source-routed traffic is the sign of an attack: drop it all. Block all broadcast packets, including directed broadcasts. Broadcasts are useful inside a network, but have pretty much zero utility between networks, so don't let the stuff in (or out). And good old smurf attacks, still seen as a form of revenge in IRC, rely on directed broadcasts. Block all packet fragments. Fragrouter is an old but wonderful tool, imminently useful for evading network intrusion detection. With it, an attacker can create packet fragments -- TCP or UDP packets missing the TCP or UDP header -- and, for example, map out your firewall policy and prod for holes and mistakes in your configuration. With one notable exception, fragments are generally not created, so there's no reason to permit them into your network. What's the exception? IPsec -- or, more precisely, IKE authentication in IPsec. During the authentication sequence, IKE performs six round trips between the peers. As the peers negotiate a protection suite and exchange keys, IKE generates fragments: very rarely will the key fit in a single packet. So if you're allowing IPsec between the Internet and something behind your border router, you'll need to skip this final rule. source: technet

Meh. Was all excited hoping that I'd be back to ~40 fps but it's still not back to what it was. I'm hoping this isn't the end of the engine improvements.

According to Jacmob Optimus isnt just a single bot nuke (like clusterflutterer) but a platform for quickly distributing constant nukes. Perhaps Optimus has now been deployed but the nukes have yet to fire?

I don't know whether I'm happy or sad right now. I desperately want the FPS rate to be fixed as I often find myself hovering around 6-10 down from ~40 but on the otherhand I was using the pitiful fps rates as an escuse not to attempt Jad :P Looking forward to trying it out this evening... while still staying in the RuneSpan of course ;)

Well lucky you. But many people are experiencing FPS issues on very high end specification machines. What specs do you have? As far am I'm aware the issues are not due to lack of RAM or Graphics card power but instead related to specific brands of hardware configurations. In short. gtfo. I think I'd be right to assume you're having FPS issues yourself, care to list your 'very high end' hardware configuration? I personally do not have a "very high end" hardware configuration but I know people that do. I myself am running with a Geforce GT 240M 1GB dedicated and 4 GB RAM on the laptop. I am experiencing a drop of FPS from ~40 FPS down to less than 10 since the bot nuke.

I've been putting up with FPS rates of around 10-15 ever since the bot nuke when I previously was averaging 30-40. I am unable to play large parts of RuneScape including boss monsters (and dungeoneering bosses) cause too many frame rate issues. During the Runespan event last night it dropped to a new low... 0 FPS. We are told that Optiumus (bot nuke v2) will not only kill the bots off again but also fix the frame rate problems however all we know is that it's "soon". Let's just hope its not "soon" like the 00:00 timer bug on 8Realms
