  1. Granted the 2FPS is rare, but I don't seem to get above 15 at the moment and it averages around 7/8 even on minimum settings. It's almost unplayable. How they expect people to attempt the kiln with frame rates as low as this I'll never know.
  2. Missed the mad rush but still got 1.1m for my 50 flasks. I'm sure prices will go down to a sensible price tomorrow
  3. The effect of people mixing up affect and effect is that it affects the ability of others to understand the post.
  4. Quick find code: [qfc]25-26-187-63506974[/qfc] Page 69
  5. People seem to think a decline in f2p numbers is a bad thing... It's only bad if the numbers of p2p players is also going down or stagnating and as we don't have any figures of our own other than "number of people on high-scores" we cant say for not if people are going straight to p2p or not as new players. The high-scores seem to work their way up and then get purged once a week and the number of people drops, however when it drops at the end of the week its always above the lowest point the week before. On the 5th January just after the purge the number of people on the scores was 707,021. On the 2nd Feb, just after the previous weeks purge the figure was 728,778 so that's an increase of 21,757. Latest figure is 742,129 but after the purge it will probably be something around the 732k region.
  6. Just checked and it's still up, though they still haven't published the bot that they appearantly got working. Obviously for legal issues. Not working for me. Wonder if they are showing different stuff to different IP ranges?
  7. So if 2M an hour is an acceptable rate of "income" then I can expect to be able to buy Torva in approx 325 hours of grind time. Oh joyous joy, thats probably the best half of a year for me! Why can't more stuff be like Extreme potions and be untradeable items that you make yourself? With extreme pots someone can choose to put the investment into levelling the skill by investing heavily with cash in order to level faster or choose the slower method and invest in it with time by doing things the cheaper but slower way. Both play styles give the same reward: Extreme pots. RuneScape is littered with skills that go all the way to 99 and give nothing for it. Why shouldn't a high level smith be able to make relatively high level but untradeable armour for themselves? Why cant the high level crafter tan and craft a new type of dragonhide? Whats to say that this untradeable armour has to be part smithed, part crafting then imbued by a high level mage or runecrafter in order to complete? Obviously none of this sould be able to be boosted or assisted. There is far too much emphesis put on very rare and expensive monster drops rather than on the skills of a player. Of course all this is moot at the moment because the frame rate is so horifically slow I can barely walk around let alone attempt the fight caves or kiln.
  8. Exactly. I'm level 138, 99 prayer and herblore but because I dont have 650 MILLLION gp to fling at the best armour in the game I'm expected to sit it out... Wow, real incentive to play there...
  9. powerbot returning a blank page too... They weren't involved in the lawsuit either.
  10. Mmm a one off sacrifice... slightly better than I originally thought but I've not even done it once yet :(
  11. I've always said that the worst bit (read most boring and dreary) about fight caves is the ridiculously easy but incredibly time consuming waves vefore the jad fight. I'm very dissapointed that this new minigame replicates this. Also a bit worried that you will ONLY be able to defeat this boss with the top end gear of which 99.999% of the RuneScape population just cannot afford. I don't even have 1 firecape though so it's not like i'll ever see this minigame anyway. Free full torva pl0x...
  12. Updated post here http://forum.tip.it/topic/307606-1222012-new-members-pricing/page__view__findpost__p__5174140 with prices for £/$/ 1/3/6monthly terms.
  13. For Euros The percentage of the price increase/decrease compared to the 2008-2012 price of 5.95 a month are as follows: 1 Month - 14% increase, 1.00 3 Month - 7% increase, 1.40 (0.47 extra a month) 6 Month - 2% decrease, -0.75 (0.13 less a month) Have I worked that out correctly? Is it really cheaper for Europeans to get 6 months memberships than the old price*6?
  14. US Prices $ The percentage of the price increase compared to the original 2008-2012 price of $5 a month are as follows: 1 Month - 37% increase, $2.95 3 Month - 32% increase, $6.95 ($2.32 extra a month) 6 Month - 25% increase, $9.95 ($1.66 extra a month)
  15. Interesting court decision, surely i'd have convicted them of the threatening behaviour rather than the actual theft. The ToS explicitly say the goods/items arent really yours to be stolen from.
  16. If you have a recurring membership on either the £3.20 or £3.50/$5.95/€5.95 per month then this is "grandfathered in" which means that you will continue to pay this rate until you cancel. If you start back up your membership within seven days of cancelling you will also retain the old rate. UK prices £ 1 Month - £4.95 3 Months - £13.75 (£1.10 discount) 6 months - £24.95 (£4.75 discount) The percentage of the price increase compared to the 2008-2012 rate of £3.50 a month are as follows: 1 Month - 29% increase, £1.45 3 Month - 24% increase, £3.25 (£1.08 extra a month) 6 Month - 16% increase, £3.95 (£0.66 extra a month) The percentage of the price increase compared to the original 2003-2008 price of £3.20 a month are as follows: 1 Month - 35% increase, £1.75 3 Month - 30% increase, £4.15 (£1.38 extra a month) 6 Month - 23% increase, £5.75 (£0.96 extra a month) US Prices $ 1 Month - $7.95 3 Months - $21.95 ($1.90 discount) 6 months - $39.95 ($7.75 discount) The percentage of the price increase compared to the original 2008-2012 price of $5 a month are as follows: 7.95 1 Month - 37% increase, $2.95 3 Month - 32% increase, $6.95 ($2.32 extra a month) 6 Month - 25% increase, $9.95 ($1.66 extra a month) Europe prices € 1 Month - €6.95 3 Months - €19.25 (€1.60 discount) 6 months - €34.95 (€6.75 discount) The percentage of the price increase/decrease compared to the 2008-2012 price of €5.95 a month are as follows: 1 Month - 14% increase, €1.00 3 Month - 7% increase, €1.40 (€0.47 extra a month) 6 Month - 2% decrease, -€0.75 (€0.13 less a month) Have I worked that out correctly? Is it really cheaper for Europeans to get 6 months memberships than the old price*6? Prices converted to £GPB using todays conversion rates. $USD->£GPB equivalent 1 Month £5.02 3 Months £13.85 6 Months £25.21 €EUR->$GBP equivalent 1 Month £5.78 3 Months £16.00 6 Months £29.05
  17. Is the resetting of the slayer streak a glitch or a feature? Not happy about it if it's supposed to reset. I'm mid way through a task so havnt gone past it yet.
  18. 1000 days for $25, bargain! Yes I am aware its a typo and you mean 100. The only prices that have been accounced so far ate the one month credit card ones. We have no idea what the prices of the cards will be and if discounts will be offered for 3 and 6 months. You've really lost all respect for Jagex for charging a few extra quid? wow.
  19. Disappointed the name of the new software, Optimus, isn't as cool as Cluster Flutterer :P
  20. Also wearing low level/welfare gear as that is designated "bot gear" also high levelled armour as only bots can afford it due to cheating their wealth.
  21. It's not the waves that are the problem. I can't prayer switch no matter how powerful my weapons are or damage soaking my armour. It simply takes too long (takes me 1-2 hours) to get to Jad only to die in 5 seconds.
  22. Is it too much to ask for that Jad gets made easier? :P Merci*still no fire cape*full
  23. From what I can tell your tablet can only be running 2.3 Gingerbread at the very best, a lot of the screenshots even look as low as 1.5 cupcake. Do you know what version of Android it's running? You should see if there is an update available or possibly root it and install a proper tablet os like Honeycomb or Ice Cream Sandwich. Your device isn't listed as one of the official devices supported by CyanogenMod but a peek at the forums shows that some people have managed to do it reasonably easily. You don't appear to be a computer novice so im sure its something you could do. Installing a custom rom will also ensure that your device doesn't have the CarrierIQ rootkit installed by some manufacturers and mobile networks. On a 7" tab though you should really be using the desktop version of the site. Mobile skins are always going to be optimised for screens between 3-5 inches. I get quite annoyed sometimes when websites force me to use their mobile skin on my iPad when its perfectly capable of displaying the desktop version fine. Are you able to doom a page out to scale it to fit the screen or are you locked into the 800x600 display? I suppose that's just a limitation of what's effectively an e-reader with a browser. I was able to take a screenshot because I have "rooted" my Desire and installed a custom ROM, in my case CyanogenMod7. You might be able to tell that it looks more like stock Android and not HTC Sense. On my phone I simply press and hold the on/off button and several options pop up such as turn on/off wifi airplane mode etc as well as a 'take screenshot' option. Sadly this feature is not available by default in Android nor in many of the manufactuer roms such as Sense (HTC), MotoBlur (Motorola) or TouchWiz (Samsung)... unless Sammy have added it recently that I'm not aware of. Strange about those borders on the mobile skin using desktop browsers. I'm sure this is a simple css error and can be fixed easily. It's interesting you mention the display resolution because my phone is 480×800 and those fonts look very small to me. I suppose because your screen is twice the size the fonts look twice as big? I don't think many people are going to be using the mobile skin on 7 or 10 inch tablets as resolutions that small so I think it would be for the benefit of more people if the font sizes are increased. As for the adverts, I see your points but you have to remember that ads should be relevant for the device you are using too. If someone is using tipit on an iPhone woudlnt it be better to display adverts for iPhone cases and accessories than "1 simple rule for a flat stomach". It's more likely to end up as a conversion click and thus generate more money for the running of the site.
  24. What about just showing the images without the popups? Or a message saying not available on mobile skin? Refreshed several times before concluding it was an error (disabled) on tipit side not my end. Thanks for clearing it up though :)
