  1. Well, I don't know where you're living so I can't be specific, but most countries do have some sort of information centre for teens dealing with under aged pregnancies. They usually have some sort of telephone service. If you can't find it on your own, your best bet would be to ask your doctor, since (s)he's sworn to secrecy.
  2. Aliens exist. The fact that they haven't made contact with us yet proves they're intelligent.

I wish I'd've remembered to go for a female starter... Or at the very least a Turtwig... Piplup is alright I guess, but Torterra looks like it'd be a monster at any stage of the game.
  4. Thanks, guess I'll look into it when my exams are over...
  5. I guess this is as good a place to ask as any... I was at a store today noticing WoW being sold for ̢̢̮ââ¬Ã¡Ãâì14,99. Does anyone know if this package (or anything similar) comes with any kind of trial period? I couldn't tell from the box and didn't want to put down ̢̢̮ââ¬Ã¡Ãâì26,99 for the two month prepaid card right away... ̢̢̮ââ¬Ã¡Ãâì42 is almost as much as a new DS game.
  6. You know, I probably wouldn't be against gun ownership if it came with some sort of general safety exam you'd have to take before you'd be able to buy one. Just a brief written exam at a local gun club on how to store your weapon away from your children, how to clean/maintain it, when it can be legally used... it'd probably go quite a long way in preventing deaths from accidents or irresponsible use.
  7. So when is your photoshoot for Playgirl? I'm sure a thong wearing marathon runner as a centrefold could raise thousands of dollars.
  8. BBC on the internet, NRC for the printed new and the public broadcasts for TV for me.
  9. I like Who Wants to Live Forever better :-w... But it is one of the best songs ever. Kind of funny how they couldn't get the single out initially because everybody thought the song was too long...
  10. You say it like that's a bad thing :-s
  11. I've been a member of the Dutch Socialist Party for five years now... It started out in the 70s as a Maoist party, working on a local level, but in the eighties it denounced the old doctrine in favour of democratic socialism. Since being elected into parliament in 1994 they haven't lost a single national election. This is because the traditional big left wing party (Labour) has shifted to the right a lot in recent years. The Socialist Party also supports a lot of local social and political activism, keeping in touch with the public in a way that the traditional parties can't. In the party's manifesto of principals it calls for a society where human dignity, equality and solidarity are most important. Its core issues are employment, social welfare and investing in education, public safety and health care. The party opposes privatisation of public services and is a critic of globalisation. To prevent elected party officials from abusing their position for financial gain, their salaries are paid directly to the party, which then pays a salary that fits their living situation. This means that only the truly dedicated are elected to positions of power, and that any accusations of abusing their position to enrich themselves can be avoided. The party's representatives on both the local, national and international levels recieve extended training in the political process to make sure they come into power fully prepared. Because of this carefully constructed foundation, the party has managed to avoid the quick collapse of the LPF, a populist party that made its debut in parliament with over a sixth of the votes. The coalition they formed collapsed within a year because of how unprepared that party was for its responsibilites. Ironically, now they can't even get enough of their members into a room at the same time to vote on the disbanding of the party.
  12. I like how they popped up the "Emmy Award Winner" banner during the toilet scene...
  13. If they removed all steroid restrictions from the sport, they would certainly get a lot more interesting... of course more and more athletes would drop dead where they stand for seemingly no reason, and the country that's willing to invest most in its research would sweep the olympics. I say keep them for medical use only.
  14. I ran out of those pictures you get every 100 points... didn't even notice it at first. The game just doesn't seem to get harder once you've got the basic logic figured out :|

Finally won the Cool Master rank super contest with my Gallade. I started about two weeks ago when I noticed that the Kirlia I evolved had a nature that made spicy poffins extra effective and ended up with four cool moves when it got Psycho Cut. The first three levels were a breeze because I maxed coolness right away (and learned how to make lvl 25+ poffins, enough to match any stat with the right nature in the process). However, when I entered the Master rank contest I noticed that you need very good accessories to score well enough on the first part of the contest, so I spent two weeks farming berries for items like the spotlight and the cape. Now I'm off to the battle tower with: Gyarados (Adamant): Dragon Dance, Waterfall, Taunt, Earthquake Weezing (Bold): Pain Split, Explosion, Toxic, Sludge Bomb Starmie (Timid): Thunderbolt, Ice Beam, Surf, Psychic
  16. Well said.Actually, I was talking about Milankovitch cycles, which last a bit longer than those graphs you posted...
  17. Mine is my old RS username, from the Latin for "Black Mage". Of course the proper latin would be Negromagus, but due to the negative meaning of Negro in English I'd probably get into trouble for it...
  18. Climate on earth is cyclical. However, the last time that cycle was swung out of balance the way it is right now was during a series of massive volcanic eruptions. Of course earth recovered from that, and it will probably recover from this too. The question is whether or not we'll be around to witness that recovery.
  19. I've played Day of the Tentacle from start to finish. It's worth playing for the "flag" cutscene at the end alone :P
  20. A pretty good guideline would be the Oldwarez list... http://abandonia.com/main.php?nav=awlist It's not 100% complete, but it does cover a lot of ground as far as (potential) abandonware is concerned.
