  1. Actually, not steroids. Painkillers and soma, mostly. Besides, not like he wasn't still pretty damn big: Anyway, they didn't really have much choice with the congressional investigations going on (yay for politicians jumping on minor stuff that still has the popular interest in stead of tackling major issues). They should've been serious about suspending people right off the bat. In the past half the suspensions were just working without pay, which meant that the wrestlers would stay on the road without getting a chance to deal with their issues.
  2. I play Magic: the Gathering every monday night, usually some multiplayer format. At the moment most of my decks are geared towards that. My favourite at the moment is this one: 8x Forest 5x Swamp 3x Plains 2x Grove of the Burnwillows 2x Tainted Wood 4x Llanowar Elves 4x Skyshroud Elves 4x Llanowar Dead 4x Kavu Predator 4x Skyshroud Cutter 4x Congregate 4x Life Burst 4x Soothing Balm 4x Reverent Silence 4x False Cure Basically, make your opponents gain huge amounts of life to put together a massive Kavu Predator and/or a deadly False Cure (False Cure + Congregate usually means game over because of how creature-heavy the format is). I know the mana base is a little shakey at the moment, but it can get the job done and it's incredibly fun to play.
  3. No, a massive program of state-sponsored construction programs that simultaniously revitalized the industrial infrastructure and provided thousands of unemployed with a new job and money to spend in the stores helped during the depression. Of course nowadays suggesting something like that would mean you're a commie. War is always bad for the economy as it requires investing huge amounts of resources, money and manpower from the most productive part of the population (males aged 18-35) that rarely yields any kind of profitable returns.
  4. Well, in currency exchange, when you compare the two currencies, the lower one is the most valuable one.
  5. Wow, you want somebody to kill themselves over a message on an internet forum? Methinks you take stuff a little too seriously. I'm 21 in a month. I mostly play Pok̮̩̉̉mon Diamond on train rides. The 8-12 age group really seems too young for some of the more complicated parts of the game (EV training, breeding, etc.).
  6. OMGWTFHAX :XD:You should see my ratio on some private torrent trackers... which I use to transfer... perfectly legal, non-copyright protected material... :-w
  7. Woah, I just checked my country's stat, and appearantly my ISP is #2 in the country, with an average download speed of >14000kb/s... I feel kinda cheated now :|
  8. Yup, my upload speed is almost triple my download speed - quadruple even on some days. I pay ̢̢̮ââ¬Ã¡Ãâì15 a month for this connection, which I guess isn't bad for the speed I'm getting (no fair use policy either \).
  9. Whatever happened to just getting shot to draw attention to your new album?
  10. 8GB

Very hard to say, depends on the way the songs have been encoded, more specifically the bitrate, and of course the length of the songs. Too many variables to tell.

There are plenty of companies for the more purist wrestling fan. Ring of Honor comes to mind. You can order their DVDs from ROHwrestling.com or order their second PPV, which debuts on InDemand, amongst other channels, September 21st.

TNA is doing terribly at the moment. They're losing millions a year, and even though they've signed several highly expensive wrestlers (Sting, Christian Cage, Kurt Angle) they still can't seem to improve their TV ratings or PPV buys. As for the wrestling itself - They seem to be going nowhere fast. They try to be more like WWE by signing heavyweights like Scott Steiner and Andrew Martin, who are inferior performers compared to their X-division wrestlers. Basically they're making a lot of the same mistakes WCW made (you'll notice that WCW went belly up): [*:3dsm774c]They hire celebs that seem to get arrested every other week and aren't even allowed to wrestle (Adam Jones). [*:3dsm774c]They keep bringing in guys just because they worked for the competition while the most talented guys on their roster keep languishing in midcard hell (guys like Test, who get a PPV main event straight off the bat). [*:3dsm774c]They seem to have an internal competition amongst your writers to see who can put out the most messed up angle. Right now making fun of Rhino's alcoholism seems to be winning, although Kurt Angle's marriage breaking down just weeks after the Benoit tragedy seems a close second. [*:3dsm774c]They give matches away for free on TV when they could make them money on PPV. Sting vs. Kurt Angle would be a dream main event on a PPV, but in stead they put it on TV, and make it only three minutes and give it a DQ finish. [*:3dsm774c]They can't even seem to put a normal 1 on 1 match without any gimmicks on their PPVs.
  13. The following legendaries can be caught legitimately without hacking: - Rotom (lvl. 15): At night, check the TV in the Old Chateau near the end of Eterna forest after getting the National Dex. Doesn't run. - Uxie (lvl. 50): The cave at the center of Lake Acuity after freeing it from Team Galactic. Doesn't run. - Azelf (lvl. 50): The cave at the center of Lake Valor after freeing it from Team Galactic. Doesn't run. - Mesprit (lvl. 50): Takes off after talking to it in the cave at the center of Lake Verity. Runs after one attack, unless you use something like Mean Look. Damage and status conditions from previous encounters carry over. - Palkia/Dialga (lvl. 47): Pearl and Diamond, respectively. Appear at the Steel Pillar after you've defeated Team Galactic for the final time. Doesn't run. Don't forget to pick up their special hold items near the top of the area after capturing it. - Cresselia (lvl. 50): After completing the Sinnoh dex and beating the league, go to Canalave, where a kid is having nightmares. Talk to his mother, then to his father (the sailor who took you to Iron Island). He'll take you to Full Moon Island. Talk to Cressalia to have it take off. Runs the same way Mesprit does. - Giratina (lvl. 70): The Turnback Cave inside the Spring Path, which opens up after beating the league and completing the Sinnoh Dex. Doesn't run. - Heatran (lvl. 70): Inside Stark Mountain. Help your partner find the rock he's looking for (in the cave in the back), then go back to the survival area and talk to him and his father about the earthquakes. When you go back to the room where he left you, Heatran will be waiting. Doesn't run. For time saved, Mesprit and Cresselia are the best masterball candidates. For sheer power, Giratina and Heatran.
  14. I'd say Cressalia. There are two "runners" in this generation, Mesprit and Cressalia. Mesprit is one of the three pokemon in the lakes, but the only one that travels. Cressalia starts flying around after you get the national dex and help the sailor's son in Canalave. Mesprit seems to be the easier one to catch of the two though. Technically Heatran and Giratina are harder to catch, but since they don't run you can just reset if you fail so in the end you'll save more time using the master ball on Cressalia.
  15. I'm working on the Battle Tower challenge right now with this team: Starmie (Timid, EV trained in sp. attack and speed) Surf Thunderbolt Ice Beam Psychic A special sweeper that'll outrun pretty much every relevant threat. Drapion (Impish, EV trained in sp. def and HP) Toxic [bleep]es Knock Off Brick Break Toxic Runs all sorts of disruption, can drive pretty much any opponent nuts. Snorlax (Careful, EV trained in sp. def and HP) Body Slam Earthquake Rest Sleep Talk Standard sleep talking Snorlax, usually rests pretty much constantly while the opponent dies of Toxic ([bleep]es).
  16. There really doesn't seem to be much point to this topic. They usually just rapidly deteriorate in "I'm here longer than you so I'm better than you" flamewars.
  17. My day-night rythm is pretty warped - I only have 10 hours of classes each week, and the earliest start at 11am. This really affected me weirdly when I got a job for a month in May. I'd go to bed at 2am, get up at 7am, come home from work at 6pm, crash, wake up at 9pm, eat dinner, then go to bed at 2 again.
  18. Welcome to the world where you can be a gamer and still have a life. Nintendo was the first to see this coming, and they shifted their product to respond more closely to the new market of social gaming, focusing more than ever on games that are perfect for group play and can be picked up in a matter of minutes. The eighth generation of consoles will probably all be adapted to this - less focus on powerful hardware and games that require a large investment of time in favour of simpler consoles that appeal to a wider range of people. There could be a niche console for the hardcore gamer, but in the long run this new market is where the true money lies.
  19. Dude, have you ever tried getting anything meaningful done while high? If he was high he probably found a box of cookies or something shiney on a key chain long before he found a knife... Seriously, that was just a stupid blanket statement -.- I'm sure he had his reasons, but I doubt it was attention. Most actors can't walk the street without getting noticed. If he was that starved for attention he could just drop his pants randomly while in public.
  20. Like pretty much everybody pointed out, it's the parents who should step in if their children are losing sleep - for whatever reason. If they have a computer in their room, cut their connection at bedtime. If they have a TV, cut the cable. Make them leave their cellphones and stuff downstairs when they go up to bed. If your kid can't set boundaries for themselves, you have to do it for them.

http://downloads.2kgames.com/bioshock/B ... _Score.zip The full soundtrack for those who are into that (it's straight from the publisher's official website, so I doubt it's a copyright violation).
  22. Faithless - Bombs - Some nifty splicing to create some very powerful visuals to match very powerful lyrics. Banned from MTV because it's *gasp* political.
  23. At least the government is acknowledging their grief. Obviously the money won't bring the lost loved ones back, but it is still a good measure for practical reasons, since the money will help families who have lost their means to support themselves survive and help the local economy recover faster. It's better than nothing.
  24. It's incredibly easy to start a forest fire. Just a few months ago a small forest fire near my house was caused by sparks flying off the wheels of a freight train hitting the breaks.
  25. Beautiful women, crashing on my bed and napping straight after a long day of work/studying or hitting the snooze button when I have to get up early.
