what are you oc about
I colour-sort every handful of MnMs or skittles before eating them in the order of brown-red-orange-yellow-green-blue or purple-red-orange-yellow-green. Other than that I can't really think of anything.

Dangerous School for Boys (Perverts)
Meh, I've been working as a cub scout leader for two years now, and some of the panic is pretty ridiculous. One afternoon there were only two leaders around and one of the kids got a busted lip. We had to take all 20 kids into the kitchen because rules state that a leader can't be alone with a kid to avoid suspicions, and we couldn't let them play on unsupervised either. Oh, and for the record, we occasionally play the exact same game described in the original post, only with scarfs.

Listening to songs in a foreign language
I really don't mind foreign language (most of it is foreign to me anyway :P). Sometimes it actually adds to the music (Haggard, Therion, etc.).

Manhunt 2 Banned in the UK and Ireland! USA barely lets in!
There's no way you can effectively ban a videogame these days. There's a gazillion ways to download games, both legally and illegally. This'll only generate more interest for the games, it'll work aversely in the end.

Enough with the Chuck Norris crap
I can't remember the last time I read a Chuck Norris joke outside of this thread...

Day 8: Trapical Does Tarot!
You should. The reading was a mix of positive and negative cards, but the positive cards won out. Your writing will face challenges in the coming years but there will be fruits to the labor that you put into it.Well, bottom's up then : ...what? It worked for Hemmingway!

Is it true? (Question directed at the Dutch)
Probably the first, knowing Mercifull. As for moving the coffeeshops in Maastricht, they're not being moved to the Belgian border. They're being moved from downtown to the edges of the city. By car, that would mean that you'd have to drive about fifteen minutes less to get to them. I really don't see why the Belgains feel they should get their knickers in a knot over that.

Louisiana residents? Banning saggy trousers.

What people around the world are eating:
That's the only reason you made this topic, isn't it. Anyway, you're right. It's funny how the American's in this topic automatically go in defence again instead of acknowliging that's it's not good what they eat. Just like in the last topic you opened with the bottles and so "But they didn't take recycling in account!!!11 :-k ". The Egyptian looks best IMO. After that the Equador. Hardly. If it was about America I could've just used the two American families, the Ecuador one and the Darfur one.

Modern Day Art
To be honest I don't care much for modern art, although part of that might be because of my educational background. Still, stuff like this is pretty rad: http://www.glumbert.com/media/kineticsculpture

What people around the world are eating:
The source: http://www.amazon.com/Hungry-Planet-Wha ... 1580086810 As for the German family's alcohol consumption, I don't think it's that bad if it's spread out across the week. I'd be worried if that's what they'd consume on a one night binge, but I doubt it is. In Roman times watered down wine was drunk on a daily basis, even by the children, simply because the water usually wasn't safe. The human body can handle alcohol perfectly fine in moderation.

What people around the world are eating:
I found the amount of processed food in both American families absolutely frightening. I had to look long and hard to find a piece of fruit or a vegetable.

Weird alcoholic drinks?
Fiskarens Fiende, as approved by the professional drinkers in Finntroll: Take a bottle of Vodka, take a good swig out of it, then empty a packet of Fisherman's Friend lozenges into it. Shake until the lozenges are dissolved.

SPURS WIN` SPURS WIN` SPURS WIN` SWEEEPED? 4-0 ~~$$
Heh, the only reason this series is getting a lot of attention over here is because if the Spurs win it, they'd have the first Dutch player in a team winning the NBA finals.

Know your roots: Need for Speed Underground edition
Them kids these days with them newfangled playboxes, gamestations and x-cubes, thinking they've invented the tuning sub-genre of racing games... let me take y'all back to a time of 320x240, when the men were men and the women were blocky. The year is 1990, and producer California Dreams gives us Street Rod 2, taking us back to a time where all cars didn't look like electric shavers, and where young upstart racers weren't afraid of getting their hands dirty to squeeze out that extra morsel of performance that gets you the girl - just remember that summer vacation only lasts four months. So chop that roof and those bumpers, tighten the screws on that supercharger, make it purr, and conquer the drag race, the aquaduct race (as seen in Grease) and the treacherous Mulholland drive, racing for money, racing for pink slips, racing for glory and racing for the girl. A fuel-injected V-8 for a ford mustang, proving you don't need chip-tuning pr NO2 to blaze down the asphalt in style. And when you're all set, cruise down to the Burger's Bungalow to meet the competition. The weekly grudge night tournament, where your car's performance will put you on the fast track to challenging the king of the road.

Rude Things That Make You Want to Slap Someone.
People who take their cigarettes into the toilet, leaving the smoke hanging for hours, if not days. I don't mind smokers, but there's plenty of stink in there without them abandoning their precious tobacco for half a minute, especially since it has nowhere to go.

Hey, I know that alley! I drive by it every day on my way to college. Nice guy. Does a lot of volunteer work for the salvation army and reads to children in the hospital.

Is it true? (Question directed at the Dutch)
To add to that last (awesome) post: The governement has stated that they wanted specialists to look into palliative care as an alternative to docter-assisted suicide. However, a combination of parties (among others socialists, labour, right-wing liberal) that holds just a seat short of two-thirds of the parliament have all spoken out in favour of euthanasia, so I doubt we'll see any major new restrictions being put in place in the next four years.

Sid Meier's Civilization 4.
Off topic: Glad to see some people know how to start a topic that actually has some content and creates room for discussion. Great job  Use thumbnails to prevent stretching up the screen next time though :-w

Clothing stores in Europe
Amsterdam: The two things I've circled are secondhand clothes areas. The street at top left has a huge row of thrift stores and the area at bottom right is a giant street market on the weekends.

Paris Hilton Makes Me Want To Rip Out My Spleen With A Spoon
- anyone watch ufc?
Rampage beating Lidell for the light heavyweight championship is one of the best things to happen to UFC in a long time. The entire division had been reduced to having to constantly sign outside challengers just to give him someone to compete against. Getting the belt onto Jackson opens a whole new list of potential main events. - anyone watch ufc?
