  1. If you'd have taken half a second to read the boards description, you'd now that this sort of stuff doesn't go in here, post them in the Rate This! board. Furthermore, your sig is too wide.
  2. I still have two old albums from the national competition, never did any of the World Cup ones. I think I have a Mortal Kombat album too, but I'm not sure if I ever completed that one.
  3. I remember building a device that sort of fits the terms you've described. It's a bit hard to replicate with the limits in available material though. Basically what we did was horizontally mount the arm with the basket on one end, with a small counterweight on the other to balance it. Then we had a system of gears and a winch to start rotating it. Once we had it up to a decent speed we'd block the arm by rotating a beam up in its path, and the object in the basket would be flung out by the momentum. (Oh, and for an advantage over the other team, make sure your sponges are wet in stead of dry.)
  4. 1) Tech & Computers for all computer related questions. 2) Looks like piracy is coming back to haunt you. Blizzard's Battle.Net can only be accessed by the unique registration code that comes with each copy of the game. If you're trying to access Battle.Net with a borrowed code, you can't connect while the other code is online. If you want to play online with a Blizzard game, the only way to do it properly is buying the actual product in the store.

Class starts at: Monday: 11.50 Tuesday: 8.10 Wednsday: 9.00 Thursday: Varies, usually 9.50 Friday: 9.50 Substract 90 minutes (roughly) from that for the time I get out of bed, and 60 minutes for the time I leave for the bus.
  6. A week of Rome for me, best city in the world :D
  7. Futbol.Usa ftw, love it or leave it.First of all, I'm not in the US, so I'm hardly in a position to leave. Second of all, what you call soccer is indeed football, according to Wikipedia: Furthermore:
  8. That depends. Certain graphics programmes can use the ram to greatly improve rendering speeds when working on large files. Just inverting the colours on an A3 .psd could take minutes if you don't have enough ram.
  9. From what I can tell, Spacemonger is faster to load, smaller, and easier to use. That Sequoia-thingy looks fancy and all, but for stuff like this I don't need fancy, just plain and simple will do. The only advantage the Sequoia thing has is that it can isolate files with specific extensions.

We only sleep so animals have a better chance of surprising us ;) Duh :P I can just see you... in epic combat... with a bear. It's not epic combat unless I have no appendages..... you know, so it's fair ;) I can just see that poor bear howling in frustration as its paws pass through your 'fro again and again, constantly failing to connect with anything solid. Anyway, as for interesting camping trips... I've slept in a hole in the snow in Switzerland. The snow offers amazing insulation, you'd be surprised. Other than that, in the boy scouts we once hoised an old couch fifteen feet into the air and slept on that. However, for general ease of use, ease of transport and general comfort, get a hammock (preferably one without any wood in it).
  11. Haggard - Eppur Si Muove About three minutes into the song: The buildup to this part is one of the best instrumental parts of the album, and the soprano that sings the first four lines before the grunts take over just blow you out of the water. (I'll try to think of more later)
  12. Soccer? They're making world cups for non-existing sports now? It's football. Repeat after me. Football. As for who's going to win, I'd have to hope it's Holland (unbeaten in the qualifying round), but in the end it'd probably be Brazil again.
  13. Especially since this is the twentieth topic asking for games like Runescape this year. Also, if you want help, you'll have to learn some civility. Cadburys_egg's thread is probably the best initiative to de-clutter the Off Topic boards since the creation of the Music and Movies board.
  14. http://www.werkema.com/software/spacemonger.html This is easily the most useful applet I've found in months. It's a small program that scans any drive in a few seconds and then renders a graphic representation of the amount of space occupied by folders and subfolders. You can see what's going where at a glance - it's easily the most efficient way to find out where extra disk space can be gained by removing unnecessary files. I cleared out 10gb of my 40gb C:\ in a few minutes.
  15. Considering how randomly I'm updating, I'll post a warning here that the story is updated.
  16. Meh, doesn't really bother me much, I just slept in an extra hour on sunday.

In Holland we don't have all those ranks I'm reading about, just age groups (5-7, 7-11, 11-16, 16-18, 18+). I started when I was 7, became a leader myself last year for the 7-11 age group.

While GM food has a lot of potential, it's not the end-all be-all solution some people make it out to be. For one thing, a rice plant created in a lab will never have the same resistance to local diseases and parasites as the plants the people are used to growing have. In the end, this could mean that GM plants will actually have a lower yield than the traditional crops. The possibility of GM food as an end to world hunger should definiately be researched, but we shouldn't expect all our problems to be solved today or tomorrow.
  21. As cold as it may sound, Katryna was 100% accurate on her definition of "parasite". In the end, a foetus is just that. It feeds off the mother without contributing anything in return.

Yeah, a lot of people who are into black metal in general seem to think they have 'sold out' over the past few years... don't really care for them to be honest. The video for Progeniens of the Great Apocalypse would occasionally be aired back when one of the music stations still had a night dedicated specifically to metal, but it didn't impress me much. I think their vocalist also did a guest appearance on the latest Kamelot album.
  23. I once ate raw food for money, does that count? Other than that, mostly just computer repairs and some tutoring stuff.
  24. They're a tad cooky for a religion that recruits new members through mental health tests... And it only gets worse from there... (They also believe the universe is four quadrillion years old)
