Chef Leaves South Park
The Darth Chef scene was brilliant, and although I can't quote Chef's eulogy because of the language the message they're sending is pretty clear: "We still think of Chef (Isaac Heyes) as a friend even if some stupid little club did scramble his brains."

Do YOU believe in God?
In all fairness, poor grammar and spelling are something both parties in this debate are guilty of. I simply consider it common courtesy to make my posts readable. If it's worth debating, it's also worth taking two minutes extra to type your respones out properly.

Do YOU believe in God?
Just because one theory doesn't answer a question doesn't automatically makes your answer right. Planets are formed from those remnants of a nebula that do not condense under gravity to form a protostar. Instead, these remnants become a thin disc of dust and gas revolving around the protostar and begin to condense about local concentrations of mass within the disc. These concentrations become ever more dense until they collapse inward under gravity to form protoplanets. When the protostar has grown such that it ignites to form a star, its solar wind blows away most of the disc's remaining material. Thereafter there still may be many protoplanets orbiting the star or each other, but over time many will collide, either to form a single larger planet or release material for other larger protoplanets or planets to absorb. Meanwhile, protoplanets that have avoided collisions may become moons of larger planets. Several factors account for the distance between a sun and its planets; among others mass of the sun, mass of the protoplanets and force of the solar winds. In the end it's all a matter of coincidence. Without getting into any of the details about the human species, I'd like to state one example: Bacteria. Thanks to their method of reproduction they have an incredibly high rate of mutation. As a result of these mutations, antibiotics that worked fine twenty or thirty years ago are useless now. Another prime example is the HIV virus, which mutates at such a fast rate that it's impossible for pharmacists to find any kind of cure for it. Actually, the Julian calendar which went by the lunar phases has accumulated years of lag in the centuries before it was replaced by the Gregorian calendar. A single hour would be impossible to prove or disprove. Same can be said for the Qu'ran, the Torah, the Zend Avesta... heck, even the Kama Sutra is ancient. Actually, linguistic evolutions come about by population drift. Language evolves constantly. When you'd use the word 'cool' fifty years ago, everybody would have thought you meant 'somewhat cold'. Now, 'cool' means 'good', 'awesome', or something similar. Over decades or centuries, this happens in a much larger scale. Now imagine that one group of people would somehow loose all communication with another group of people. They each use their language freely, and slowly it changes. If descendants of these people would meet after five centuries, their languages would have evolved so much that it'd be nearly impossible for them to understand eachother. This has happened all the time in the past, and is still happening even now. By that logic, UFO abductions would be real too, people come back to tell us about those all the time. "No man hath seen God at any time." - John 1:18 Medical miracles happen with or without prayer, and not just by praying to the Christian God. Each religion has a long list of prayer healings, yet very few manage to provide actual proof. "... he that goeth down to the grave shall come up no more." - Job 7:9 Absolutely no prophecy about fire has been made. All that has been said about the bible is that there would be no second flooding. End by fire is just random speculation. Also: "Generations come and generations go, but the earth abideth forever." - Ecclesiastes 1:4

Favorite Computer Games?
Hmm, thought of some more... 11. Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn - Best sequel ever. Loads of new content, party banters, Drow... *drools* 12. Dink Smallwood - Humour, plenty of quality mods being produced even now, this game always manages to stay fresh. 13. Sim City 3000 - Oh, if I could get those wasted hours back... 14. Caesar III - See Sim City 3000, also, the comments from random citizens always spurred me on to get everything *just* right.

ETA declares permanent ceasefire
Wow, looks like one of the last European violent conflicts has finally ended. Reminds me of the IRA disbanding last year. I can only imagine how good this must be for the local population...

Favorite Computer Games?
1. Final Fantasy III/VI - Some of the most memorable moments in videogame history. 2. Commander Keen 5: The Armageddon Machine - Childhood favourite. 3. The Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past - Arguably the best Zelda game ever. 4. Warioland 2 - My first Gameboy game, highly addictive, especially when I found out about the different endings and routes. 5. The Catacomb Abyss - Fantasy themed fps released before Wolfenstein 3D, but technically not the first because it was built with the Wolfenstein engine. 6. System Shock 2 - Highly underrated, blows Deus Ex out of the water. 7. Ducktales - Another childhood favourite, originally inspired me to build a PC just for DOS games. 8. Day of the Tentacle - My first point and click adventure. 9. Resident Evil - The Gamecube Remake is definiately the best survival horror game out there at the moment. 10. Tetris - Highly addictive, definiately the most played game for my TI-83.

Isn't posting messages that contribute nothing to the actual thread except provoke negative reactions from other posters pretty much the definition of trolling? :?

The Broccoli Award!!
Since I usually cook by stir-frying, broccoli is pretty low on my list of favourite vegetables since they don't heat up right and seem to loose a lot of flavour. Of course, all the way at the bottom is beetroot. I'm firmly convinced that if satan's backside is covered in boils, they would look and taste like beetroots.

Too bad you're not going to Cambridge. Last year some guy from my school went there to study international business law or something fancy like that :P

Iron Maiden
Yeah, you're really giving us a lot to talk about here... :? Anyway, to add something to a topic that's probably a stillborn anyway, I used lyrics from Hallowed Be Thy Name for the cover page of my profile paper (basically a two year research that you have to do in order to graduate high school, besides the usual exams). The paper deals with burial rituals and the way they reflect different perceptions of the afterlife.

Where are you going to College/University?

Do YOU believe in God?
Actually, that depends on interpretation. Some forms of Christianity believe that God = Jesus = Holy Spirit = Holy Trinity, other forms believe that they're sepperate concepts.
