Nonsense :D It was smaller and therefore containing a smaller amount of idiots. In my opinion it was a better community just because it was a smaller one. Yeah if you havent played, dont trash the game you play. Community was better because it was smaller.

I collected all from january 2001 to july 2001 in one place so new players can see old newsletters how runescape was back then... Thanks, reading it brings back memories, good and bad. I never knew Gugge was a high ranked player so early :o I was around from the very start, actually have a name among the first 10 signup's, then created Gugge to have both a non-pking account and a pking-account. I used to be high ranked, though never on the top ;) Please think before you ask a question. If you ask the right question, its much more likely you get the answer you are looking for :)

November 6, 200718 yr ya know I just love seeing posts like this reminding me of what it was like. These days with all the new updates people tend to forget where the game has come from. And so few of us left to tell about it. Thehate - I feel for ya there. I was ranked up there on that which is wierd cause some of the names on there I remember being higher than at the time. Funny thing is if you look at the date on this pic , at the lvl I was then , and look at my range lvl now HOW many years later? pathetic lol. When the top 2k list came out I was ranked 6th in the game , now I am like 23k lmao just sad. Started January 2001
November 6, 200718 yr Great read. :) Didn't play in 2001, but joined in around 2002. I remember how wonderful everything was, although it just seems wonderful now. :lol: I enjoy looking through old pictures because I quit my account when RS2 first came out. My items didn't transfer over, so I felt everything I had worked for went down the drain. By the time I rejoined on a different account, RSC was long gone along with my old account. I loved how the game was more challenging back then, which it still has today, but not as great. Back in the "old days" it was tough training every skill. Once someone maxed a skill, it was truly amazing. Now, it is almost taken for granted. :( It was interesting reading these articles to see the top ranked players even though I had a guess who most of them were. The best part of RSC was most likely how the JMods actually roamed the game and they weren't an "uncommon" site. Many will never see a JMod in their whole career and I am happy to say I help a conversation with a couple of them. :) Thanks for bringing back the memories.
