April 3, 200719 yr I searched for this topic, but i didn't find anything. If this is the wrong forum, please move. Otherwise, please read and post comments about what you think :). RuneScape is a hard game when you're new to it. Alot of people tries to beg money, scam and lure for making it easier, but as we all here probalby knows; That is wrong. Instead, you should try meeting this new world with patience and curiosirty (Sorry for bad english). This is needed to success in the world of RuneScape. What do you think a person needs to success in RS? And, which I think almost is more important, why do you need this to become a successfull RS player? But to answer this we need to know what a successfull RS player is.. And this is also what you decide. Is it having 99 in every skill? Or to have a full party hat set? Or maybe to have really good friends in the game? You decide! Hmm...A bit confusing maybe...I will take a few examples: I mean what type of person you need to be to success or like RS. Do you need endurance? Courage? Or something completly diffrent? Leave your opion here by posting :). Add me if you so wish: SwreeTak
April 3, 200719 yr first off, you need to define success in Runescape be it total skills, friends, exp, money
April 3, 200719 yr Diligence and Determination. A good personality is a plus too. Noted raw mackerel drop... Wtfh? Always buying: Watermelon seeds, 2K each. Strawberry seeds, 800 each. Contact Via PM on forums.
April 3, 200719 yr If success is defined as friends and having fun than I'd say overall weirdness and a good personality do wonders. :P If success is defined as getting 99's or getting rich then patience, dedication and motivation are required too. :) The value of my bank at its height. Estimated value at the peak of the rares market: 250 billion+.Most likely the largest trade in RuneScape ever. Estimated value at the peak of the rares market: 70 billion+.
April 3, 200719 yr You're only sucessful if you think you are. You're famous if you amazingly beat Zezima in the high scores. "The cry of the poor is not always just, but if you never hear it you'll never know what justice is."
April 3, 200719 yr patience and niceness :) OF course that mother is badly crazy, but I dont understand why the 22 year old girl wants to live with and have sex with the 13 year boy, just because he is lvl 126 or something?
April 4, 200719 yr I think to be successful in rs, all u need is to enjoy urself. After all, it is a game. Only then, there are the 4 pursuits in rs; money, skills, combat, and friends. But if u try to define success within those 4, it simply is impossible. It wud be trying to assign a certain lvl or amount of wealth to the title "noob". Or, i cud have said a bunch of gibberish in an attempt to sound smart. Ah well, thats life. Tally-[garden tool]! (not british btw) Life is a joke. Yeah, I don't get it either.
April 4, 200719 yr rs is a non-competetive game(as far as stats go), so you need to have fun in order to succeed. I consider myself a successful player, since I have fun without cheating people and breaking rules. goal:1000 total f2p lvls.
April 4, 200719 yr Well to do well in RS, you need way to much time on your hands. And thats not healthy sometimes... My Guide to Killing Green Dragon Autoers
April 4, 200719 yr Maturity, determination, and the ability to realize there is life beyond Runescape. Expecting a good life because you're a good person is like expecting a bull not to charge because you're a vegetarian.
April 4, 200719 yr you need patience, a lot of time and friends! The most important is to have friends! without friends runescape is nothing
April 4, 200719 yr Author Maturity, determination, and the ability to realize there is life beyond Runescape. I don't get those two first words, but the third I understand. And I totally agree! RuneScape is, as many as you have said already, only a game after all. But not said it isn't funny :) Add me if you so wish: SwreeTak
April 4, 200719 yr I think remembering it's just a game, then friends, then wealth/skills. I mean, if you don't remember it's just a game, your social life will collapse. If you don't have friends you will be alone and have noone to lean on. Wealth and skills are not as important but, as we all know, a nice party hat is always good, eh? :P
April 4, 200719 yr Patience, Friends, Someone to look up to, Kindness, Perspiration, Persistence, Manners, Good Marksman Ship, Good Sportsman ship, Some times requires team work thats about it. 98% Of teenagers surround their minds with rap music, if you're part of the 2% that stayed with rock, put this in your signature, ROCK IS BETTER!
April 4, 200719 yr Not a lot. Not a lot at all. So long as you don't suffer from ADD, you don't need commitment, courage, maturity or anything. Just a few hours a day and before you know it, you're level 99. This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you.

April 4, 200719 yr You need patience and a fair amount of stupidity to play RuneScape. I don't mean stupidity as an offensive term, but when you waste hours upon hours staring at meaningless moving pixels... When your eyes hurt from staring at the screen, but you can't stop... IT'S TIME TO QUIT! A successful RuneScape player is one that only plays because they enjoy it. RuneScape is like almost any other addiction. I think that anyone who plays just to gain levels should examine their priorities. - Np Tyler
May 7, 200719 yr In my opinion, the best way to have success in Runescape is to have fun while playing. If you can have fun while making friends and getting decent skill totals, you are a success in my books. Also, never begging is also a plus.
May 7, 200719 yr In my opinion, there is, if not, no difference in the way of having success in RS and in RL. The keys are: patience, determination, discipline, good-education and behaviour and lots of luck. I'm back.
May 7, 200719 yr A brain. Basic social knowledge. Game lingo. Be able to laugh at the idiots who bug you for no reason. Maybe good spelling/grammar for communication purposes. A willingness to forgive those that buggeth thee helps too. It makes you cool to be able to make things cool.
