New Skill in next Month

maybe i was thinking of weaponary ...

 

 

 

you make weapons kind of like crafting. to start u can make bone weapons.. you collect big bones and craft them into weapons.. then as you progress you make better weapons.

 

 

 

your gonna think this is just like crafting/smithing.. but smithing is only armor and weapons like bronze/rune but this could be weapons where you cant craft things liek staffs, hammers and bone weapons....

Maybe sailing. Higher you get the better your boat becomes. You would get eye glasses to find fishing spots in the ocean. Or you could travel place to place faster.

The worst skill JaGEx could possibly make is underwater basket weaving.

I'd have to say something to do with water, since we are getting an underwater weapon as a reward for a quest this month, and they said it will have a use LATER. So I'm guessing the quest will involve the seas.

 

 

 

P.S.- Skills don't come out every 6 months- or else we'd have a ton....Construction came out about a year after farming....

Exactly. It took a year each for Farming and Construtino to come out because both of those skills are very complicated. Hunter was very simple, therefore it took half the time of the other two skills.

 

 

 

ON TOPIC:I hope a new skill comes out soon. I'm tired of having 10 people with all skills maxed out. It makes me feel so insignificant.

I doubt Jagex will release 3 new skills in a year. But I suppose with all the new members, maybe. But as a new skill, I'd say I agree with the sailing. I have a huge suggestions somewhere on my computer all about how sailing could be used along with construction and fishing, and as someone mentioned, there's something underwater coming this month. Submarine pl0x? The only downside is the amount of space it would take up...But if Jagex used the same portal system...or possibly added a "dock room" to construction...There's a chance. :wink:

while i wouldn't mind having a new f2p skill, it is not what f2p needs. there are other topics for that. on topic though, i wouldn't mind any of those ideas, potentially adding a couple new lands only accessible to people with ships (travel across the water in a kind of supersized game map, where fally would be about the size of a 4x4 grid for example. there is a good topic on this idea as well, so i will leave it.

 

 

 

the weaponry skill would not be on it's own, mroe like a combination of construction, crafting & smithing. i wouldn't mind one bit if they put out a new spellbook on summoning next month, with additions to various skills (& a new room) to accomodate.

I really don't see the purpose of sailing, but that's just me, don't let it get you down!

 

 

 

I actually don't think a new skill will be released. The last two skills have been discussed a lot of times. Check the Tip.It Polls Archive. There even was a poll for the date "carpentry" would be released. And the forums were swarming with suggestions for "hunting" to be released. I think Jagex released those partly to keep us quiet.

well hunter was a great skill and jagex brought it out fast, maybe Jagex better things at "Jagex Towers" that can program things more quickly or hired some more people out to help out.

 

 

 

This results in more updates and more skills. i know this is unlikely but it might have happened.

 

 

 

But back on topic, a sailing skill could come out!

update the ones that are already out. Maybe prepare for the new ones with special stuff ( like a boat house in ur house on corner of map) or add lvl messages like the ones they have in rcing

well, jagex is busy with it a few weeks (dont know if it still is) they had a poll for memb only, with: "what would you like to see the most from a new skill?"

 

 

 

so they really are busy with it, just wait till it comes out lol :)

Jagex do not want to have less non member people and more member people so they will bring out more skills and other updates to get the non members to get angry and see the awesome member skills so they will want to become a member.

 

 

 

So Jagex will have to constantly bring out new skills to keep all members happy.
