Four years of tip.it

Hey! I just noticed that I joined Tip.It almost four years ago to the day in April, when I was but 11 years old. Just poking my head in to see if there's anybody from that era still around, or if anybody remembers the way things ran at DK3, and so on and so forth.

Funny to see how I've changed too... I wish we still had the Scapeboard archives, but they're undoubtedly gone from existence, unfortunately...

handed me TWO tissues to clear up. I was like "i'm going to need a few more paper towels than that luv"

Haha, haven't you made one of these before? We've been here for about the same time (me for four to five years) Shortly after Scapeboard was turned to TIF I changed my username and I plan on never releasing what my old one was, I'd be so embarrassed if I read what I said back then. But eh, I was only 13 or so. :P

I've changed so much since then, everything about me is completely different. My views, how I act, how I look, how I dress, how I type... everything. It's been cool to see how everyone else has kinda grown up too, in different ways.

Ghost: I am prejudice towards ignorance, so that would explain why I appear to be so.

I joined quite a while ago, myself. Unfortunately, I descended into the hell that is called a social life and drifted away from tip.it and the rest of the internet.

Now I've returned, and most of my old friends have performed similar disappearing acts. Fortunately, some of them have stayed faithful and are still spamming! (Bubsa <3:)

The entire forum has changed so much; the old tip.it is barely recognisable. (Not that it's a bad thing, change is healthy. ><)

I'm not as old as you old guys, but still fairly old, almost 2 years is quite a while to be on a forum IMO

Back by popular demand!

And I guess I just wanted to tell you, as the light starts to fade, that you aree the reason, that I am not afraid, and I guess I just wanted to mention, as the heavens will fall, that we will be together soon if we will be anything at all.

Everyone changes. From the almost two years I've been here, I grow my hair out about 8 inches, wear KR3W's (lol), skate. I used to wear Walmart shirts that said stupid things such as "Protect your nuts".

Just keep staying with Tip.It so you don't forget how to annoy the hell out of people with an IQ above 150. :P

I joined just before the forum turned to old.scapeboard.com (the old black and blue phpBB 1.x, which would've been a little bit before November 2001 :ohnoes:

Much love <3

I just can't really get round how quickly the years have gone. Seems like only yesterday TIF opened, and man, I hardly remember anything of my short tenure at Scapeboard.

6 years. My predominant memory of things back then are ezarc's massive signature and the admin icon of a character in either full adamantite or adamantite and steel armour - can't remember which.

Oh the memories...

Actually time spent on forums is probably the lowest memory creating action per time possible, but I've wasted countless hours here, most of which could have been spent doing something worthwhile, but I am glad that the community has shaped me into more of an objective person and I've debated other viewpoints I might not necessarily have heard from otherwise. While most of the great posters from back then are gone, we do still have our fair share of intelligent posters here. And if you begin to feel unsure about that, give the general runescape board a spin for 2 minutes and you'll be glad we have this niche community. :)

The only reason why I was on scapeboard was strictly for RS business. Man, it's funny how I was so much into the game back then  I liked those years though <<

OT'ers like you, How2Pk, Bubsa, Merc, and several other people I seriously can't imagine ever playing rs.

I remember you BTTF_Man from way back when. I remember being really, really surprised when you posted how old you were, since your posts were much more readable than mine at the time (I'm 20 now, so I guess I was 15-16 then).

I know we can't access the Scapeboard databases anymore, but they still exist don't they? Just the company that owns the server doesn't want to allow it, right? If that is the case, I think we should try to buy back the rights too it. It couldn't cost too much, and I know I am not the only one willing to throw in $20-25 towards getting it back.

agreed MPC, lol.

I generaly remember joining my freshman year of high school which was something like 5 years now I've been here. (or 4 1/2).

But man I was such an idiot 5 years ago, hell I'm even embarased at my posts at the begining of TIF.

Mostly i'm just amazed I've stuck around and so many others have. Its kind of odd to be so against the game but still stick around on its forums. .

Overall though I've met some great people here during my time on the forums. Guess we'll see how many years more we have of these :P.

Although I haven't been active here on TIF (OT specifically) for that long, I can tell that there are quite a few decent people here and as corny and gay as it sounds, I wan't to thank you all for not being [wagon] holes. :P

I know exactly what you mean. I cringe every time I read my real early posts.

Hah, I think everyone feels the same about their old self.
