Now hold on, that formula doesn't make sense. As time goes on, people are going to age exponentially slower.

Example: A year after Runescape has been released, somebody has created a new character. Therefore the character is 0 years old.

A year on, the character is 40 years old by your formula.

Another year on, the character is 53 years old. The next year 60, the year after that 64. And unless you started playing the day Runescape came out, you're never going to reach 80, instead just get very close to it; in this case 80 is what is known as a mathematical asymptote.

A more sensible formula would be to say that the average player plays Runescape for 4 years before quitting (which represents death) and so the formula for human lifespan would be 80/4 * the number of years you have been playing.

Your formula makes my character 68ish years old. My formula puts my character at 120. Sounds stupid, but a player who has been around half as long as me (3 years) would be 60 years old which is correct as that is exactly half the age, whereas with your formula, such a player would be 45, which is quite a bit over half.

Based on this my main is 40 and my first account is 120... Makes more sense, but I might have to reverse their looks...
