the meaning of a pure isn't to "own" people in rune or barrows or stuff like that... the meaning of a pure is to win in fights against people their own lvl with "lower" def(50-60) this is best seen in f2p pure witch in melee got about 40 attack(45 maybe) and then high str... if one of these go against some1 in mith or higher they simply can't hit very often, so what do they do?? they own the mages and ranges witch have low def.

 

 

 

if you want to make a pure in p2p the best answer is mage because of ancient(my point of view)

Pures- when they pk you get iron/dhide. That's not much of a profit considering the sharks used. Unless you pk an idiot who doesn't protect whip/bring p pots you get nothing but useless iron and dhide.

i pk on my tank.

the point is to be low lvled and hit higher that u normaly should i met a i think a lvl 49 he had 78 mage now that would own a normal mage

 

a lvl 30 pure range hit like 10+ non pure like 4+

 

 

 

its why they made to be power full in one skill so they low lvled but can hit higer than normal

pures are definitely useful.

 

Especially if you know how to use them well, if you really know how to manage a pure in such a way and with such an offense you could reach the point where you don't need your defense because your opponent is too busy getting owned to even attack you. So if you combine a pure with a nice mage lvl, preferably 94 to barrage, you will not need the defense at all, and you will be much stronger then other people of the same combat lvl.

 

Not to mention the way in which pures can get their opponents to die, if you hit constant 15's your opponent will eat and fight back and when h's low on food run or tele. But if you hit constant random numbers and then suddenly a 30 30 or a few 40+ specs, which can EASILY be done by a pure with over 80 strength, which is nothing really, then their opponent will not have time to eat nor tele and will fall over at their feet :)

1 def pures are just easy to kill in my eyes, i hit 26/26 dds spec, thats with quite a bad strength bonus. so...with there 1 def + my 75 attack, with 4 chances to hit double 26...there as good as dead.

 

 

 

 

 

the first time i ever really members pked, i took d scimmy, full proselyte, dds...against a rune pure.

 

 

 

my dds specs were:

24-0

 

23-0

-.- Maybe if you fight pures your level? Plus, you are NOT going to bring all that stuff you use in the Duel Arena into the wild unless you are rich. And as to them not hitting through defence, they have ways around that. (Mage)

sometimes pures are usefull if they have a maxed out stat like 99 mage, and verse a rich player their level. personally i also think money comes into this, some pures can buy the most expensive gear, i myself am very poor lv 90 with a mere 700k. thus i cant buy all the fancy strong armor i need including barrows. and will admit i have been killed by a few pures with high levels, ie 70+ mage. its frustraiting being poor and a bad money maker.

Pures are only good against other pures, unless they can keep a meleer from reaching them using ancients, ensnare, barriers etc.

I have a pure, it gets many pks, but only because of the combos, without them...its pathetic. i think pures live of useing tons of food and hitting hard, which they cant do if u 70+ def. get def, own pures.

It is very much an each to their own thing, i have experimented with both and find i prefer larger hits, but a bigger suseptibility (sp?) to damage.

If you are thinking of making a Pure nowadays, don't bother there's too many around and there will always be many that are better than you.

 

 

 

Your main account will be more affective PK'ing.

Go fight somebody with 60 - 99 - 1 stats at just under 80 combat when you have 60 - 70 - 60 stats at just under 80, win, don't get koed by their 36s with d scim (which would take over half your health) and their double 35s (which would be over your max hp), then come back and tell me that they stink.

 

 

 

However, I do think that pures are horrible at high combat and under 70 combat so I would agree there : But I also agree that ANY mage pure is very bad and ALMOST all range pures are bad.

when i had 60 att 56 def and str with full rune and a dlong i owned pures in duling arena including a range pure with 80 range. my dlong spec hit 23,18,24,21 and then my dlong went 13 and he was dead.... i didnt splash 1nce

Just because a few rune pure's cannot ko you because you "knowing when to eat", most likely eating as soon as you get hit a little bit, you instantly brand rune pures as worthless?

 

 

 

Rune Pures are not at all worthless, they are a very profitable way of pking, and very fun.
