O jeez! So I just got back from the WoW official forums.

 

 

 

They are all so immature on the WoW forums, and post so many stupid things about runescape that aren't true. We may complain about RS but WoW's community is [insert about 500 very offensive words].....

Anyway, Runescape has a great history (as online games go)

 

 

 

Runescape takes much more skill to play

 

 

 

And we have a lot more intelligent people in our game

 

 

 

So w00t Runescape. I've played many MMORPG's (Runescape, WoW, maple story) And Runescape has the finest community of them all, thanks to jagex! =D>

I mean I don't deny that wow has much better graphics and combat interface and such but Rs is not nearly as bad as they make it. I mean for a browser game its actually very good. Haven't played wow myself but from what I hear the game is pretty much all combat related, which is one of the main things I like about Rs you don't just have to kill things.

To be honest alot of them are people who have never played RS or only have done after WoW. Therefore its understandable they think its crap because the first they see are graphics and the sounds which are truthfully worse than WoW. I like the kid who was complaining that if you die in RS you lose your items lol. Basically those who dislike rs are those who haven't ever really played and those who got ****ed over by players in RS either by getting pked or scammed. Anyone who was good at RS generally understands that RS is a decent game but its very different and therefore hard to compare to WoW.

theres nothing the official forums in runescape can compete, a player threatened to sue a a billion dollar company, thats how low they are. the WoW forums are runned by an older community, they know better. sorry for stereotyping but its absolutely true.

I got considerably old when whenever someone would made a valid, well constructed rant of a certain part of the game, all the responses end up looking like this:

Seriously, you have no idea what your talking about until you have played, RS is a much cleaner game when it comes to language used.

there are NO skills, the drops are all in one spot, and u can out run EVERY monster

Looking at those threads I agree with you. But some parts of RS, like a crowded f2p world in lumbridge castle, are much worse.

I am sick and TIRED of people comparing runescape to other video games. Seriously, play the game, and if you find something better, play that. Stop bringing comparisons of the game to the forums which are used to discuss RUNESCAPE, not WOW. I understand you are making a point, but make that point without bringing other games into the discussion.

I agree some of Runescape, like crowded f2p worlds are worse, but they are such a small part of Runescape as a whole they cannot be a judge of what Runescape really is. ( I overused the word Runescape) :lol:

 

 

 

Anyway, this is how I see it:

 

 

 

Crowded f2p RS areas, and some non-crowded f2p areas- Sick Sick Sick

 

 

 

P2P- usually nice people, some especially nice

 

 

 

WoW (almost all parts of it)- annoying, vulgar speaking fools who don't respect anyone else

wanna train melee, get a sword and put it on accurate, wanna train range? get a bow. OMG! that was soooo hard and took so much int from ppl

I can't second this because I don't know the intelligence of people who play WoW, but Runescape does indeed increase your mental capability from reaction time to mathematical skills, puzzle solving, and every day skills like farming (if you ever wish to grow your own garden or to redo your lawn, you'll know what steps to take :wink: )

 

 

 

I don't really see why people even flame games. If you think it's fun, fine, then play the game. That's what games are for. If you don't think it's fun, then just walk away or go to something else. What's the point of playing a game if it's just going to cause you to rant and make you furious irl?
