Made0f12une
Sorry to disappoint you but no information about upcoming new content will be given out except via the "Recent News" section on the homepage of our website (http://www.runescape.com). No sneak previews can be given out via the query system - you'll just have to wait for it to come out into the game! We think that you'll agree that life is better with surprises! I was given this message when I asked about player Graphical updates. Then in a totally differnt message from a differnt mod, I was given the same response to my question about how they plan to fix the economy. Do you think that these things are going to in the near future? Or do you think they just dont have a good response to these questions? Mordendravid
They almost certainly have a standard reply irrespective of what query you make regarding future updates. You could ask about the chances of purple flying elephants and still get the same response. Feel free to read into it what you will though... Harrington
I agree that it's better with surprises, but I'd like them to have a yearly behind the scenes like they used to do. Sort of a vague plan of what's being planned for the year, but without being too specific. That way we'll know if engine updates and new skills are forthcoming. darkblob0
i really hope they don't try to fix the economy again....construction :x it isa good skill but it would have been better not as a pure money drain. they should just focus on the autoers/ chinese gold farmers Don't Click This774th to 99 hunting on July 16th 2007

gamblingfool
Eh, didn't someone post the same thing with the same response like 2 weeks ago? With all the queries they get about future updates, I understand them having an automated reply. Haha, I'm going to ask them about purple flying elephants.

photographyplox
Jagex knows that the graphics aren'y up to par. and I don't think they're going to do anything about it (give the game credit for a browser mmorpg) And Jagex knows the econemy is going to eventually collapse under it's self, but they're too conceited in they're 5m real life pay check to the company. TheWilch
i dont understand exactly what you all mean when you say the economy is going to collapse? raw materials are dropping, and they always will drop because with every future update somthing can be done faster and easyer... we all know that much. the only thing that can happen to the economy is rares being totally uncontrolable and maybe some random treasure trails become super super rare over a few years? i seriously doubt world 2 will ever do this "crashing" thing when everything is somewhat stable besides rares. even over the years? its just not going to happen. wheres the proof at that too, it would be an downward spiral and it had to start somwhere right. well ... whats happening right now... not a whole lot in the economy , rares bounce like always, fish/logs/runes etc always lowering. nothing to dramatic? brave
Who cares if the economy crashes - I for one don't. I nevr buy my raw materials, and rarely sell anything. The only people this would affect are the people that play just for gold, ie merchants, and merchanting is not a "real" RS skill and those who "buy" their skill levels, which is not really in the spirit of the game as originally devised by Andrew. mr_freddie
Its kinda like a ressesion prices plummet because materials become easily availible however in the same way money goes up as those meterials are being sold back into the community the money then goes to the player who demands more materials to make more money supply = demand the demand went up because of the caper rush we all know that and the suppliers ( ie ) bots , black marketers found a foothold by selling off their materials for gold .. then in turn the marketers sell their gold into the community for cash .. making said gold availible for the skiller to repeat the process its a very simple equation .. if the demand gets cut back now .. prices will drop even worse if the demand were to rise above the supply however .. prices would stabalise any ideas ?? So, what are you saying? We all seel our items and raw materials now because our runescape economy is going to crash any second liek what happend with the great depression? You have to give jagex a break i mean banning 8000 people a week for auoting is not an easy thing to do. I really think they are trying but what can you do really. Solidus_77
this is ridiculous, there's no "problem" with the economy. Just look around! Unless we get some ridiculously huge case of hyperinflation (not gonna happen), there's nothing to worry about 76th to reach 99 Construction on 6th of February 2007379th to reach 99 Runecrafting on 4th of November 2007 Finally the secrets of goal achieving are revealed! Unless we get some ridiculously huge case of hyperinflation (not gonna happen), there's nothing to worry about Agreed, I don't think we are on the verge of the Great Runescapian Depression yet, but if Jagex messes up, it can happen. By the way, what was wrong with construction being a money drain? I thought it helped (albeit briefly) and introduced a great new element into the game (POH). If Jagex keeps their cool, hopefully they can keep the economy going. Notice the word if... ~ W ~
wakka102
The economy can't be fixed since its player run. The shops don't set the prices like in a lot of other games. So they probably just don't want to answer the question since theres nothing that can be done.
