They're supposed to be even more mindblowing when seen in the actual exhibition. I could barely wrap my mind around the plastic bottle and plastic bag ones as it is.

The phones statistic was unbelievable. And to think at least half of those are just 'outdated' and could be used in places where people can't afford phones.

Other statistics about phones, as given to me by one of my lecturers:

- Phone calls are 67% silence

- There are 2 BILLION GSM phones

- Mobile phone ownership percentage for the UK is 102%

I do not love thee, Dr. Fell,

The reason why I cannot tell;

But this I know, and know full well,

I do not love thee, Dr. Fell.

Wowz.

Ghost: I am prejudice towards ignorance, so that would explain why I appear to be so.

That's deceiving. America is huge, and with loads of people. Spreading those total amounts over the entire surface of America and it suddenly isn't so "wow" anymore.

Nonetheless, the statistics point out that we in fact do consume a lot. But showing it in this form is just deceiving.

Bloody hell

60,000 plastic bags, the number used in the US every five seconds.

That's staggering.

"Da mihi castitatem et continentam, sed noli modo"

He obviously is not taking recycling into account. A good number of those plastics are re-used.

Wow Intresting art and bring home how wasteful we are

Yeah, it is quite deceiving, but that's still a whole lot.

Agreed. It is a lot but then you have to take into account how large we are and how much of that gets reused.

I mean, its cool and a really neat idea but it is deceiving.

With just a chunk of the cigarettes, vicoden and handguns, I could probably have an awesome time.

La lune ne garde aucune rancune.

Its alot to look at all at once, but when spread among the entire country, i feel it to be understandable. Im not exactly sure what this proves though <.<

Some people are like slinkies, normally they are dull, but they always give you a smile

when you push them down a flight of stairs.

Haha. That was funny. :P

It's kind of funny, or sad, that the only thing that is happenin here is ignoring it and automatically go into defence mode.

Wow. Not the statistics, just the sheer size of the images. Would be so much fun to swim in.

Ok, the cell phone and paper/plastic bag ones were surprising.

I loved the Seurat made out of pop cans. <3:

Haha, I found that impressive too. :)

Many of them are quite shocking. I'd hope that countries like the U.S are world leaders in recycling.

The consequences of an extremely over-processed society. Ah, well. It's convenient in the short term, at least, eh? :D

Everybody hug and spread the love :D

We are. (In fact, some states even fine people for not recycling).

I hate to spoil the message, but these are overhyped. When spread among the population of the US and given programs such as recycling they are really not that impressive.

Not to mention here in Michigan you get 10 cents per can. :D Go Michigan! Wow, that phrases is rather rare coming from me.

Still, from a manufacturing standpoint it's incredible.
