skeroh
I chose, not all the time, but mostly. If I'm hanging around with my friends or training on monsters, autoers aren't that common. but including swearers, i see them everywhere. Retired from runescape. I will be on every now and then though. :)
scn64
I answered "occasionally". It's not like I'm actively looking for rule-breakers, though, so maybe I'm around them and just don't know it.

Ancang
i voted for every time i play, but i admit that's because i go looking for rulebreakers... if i just played rs the way i really like to (members servers, emptiest world available) i'd hardly see any. but even then, i'd agree there's too many. reversal
see at least 5-10 people with follow scams. see at least 2-5 selling accounts see at least 1 or none advertising a website offer rs gold see at least 1 or none trimming armor see at least 5 selling charcoal, polished buttons, muddey key (not a scam but should be since they selling something useless for a ridiculous amount) see at least 3-5 quick switch scam  (jagex could do something about the trade system like add a trade history instead doing weak updates)
Wavemasta
Every, and i mean every, time i play i see at least 20 macroers... sometimes i just take a pauze at a tree and report the noobs... Credits to Littleboy for the signature.

Some: being two or three rich noobs that are careless with their cash.   And, here's the proof that it's within the rules (as sad as it is):   What does 'scam' mean?   To 'scam' means to cheat another player during a trade. Lying to other players for your own personal gain is not in the spirit of the game and will not be tolerated.   Is it a scam to claim an item is rare when it isn't?   Yes   Is it a scam to switch items at the last second before pressing accept, and hoping the other player won't notice?   Yes   Is it a scam to ask for lots of money for an item?   It is not considered a scam to ask for large amounts of money for an item, but it is not in the spirit of the game to over price an item.   It is not our intention to set limits on what players trade. It is a player's responsibility to make sure that they are paying a good price for an item.    Note the bolded part. Because JaGeX wants this game to remain capalist propaganda (from the Chinese official viewpoint), they are unwilling to set maximum prices. And this is sensible. (I'd still like to see those selling charcoal for 50k to get chewed out.) My MOD Queue and MODs - StarTrekGuide
m1cha34l
Personaly, I think that if you are F2P you will see more rulebreakers BUT there will be more inexperienced F2pers, so they often won't know when they see a rule breaker.   I often find I can't report every rule breaker I see, they always try to protect themselves.   Even if i am convinced that someone is a mocro, can I ever be sure?   People always try to stop themselves being caught. One thing that some macroers do is make names that look like they have used different characters than they realy have, eg 0s instean of O and vv instead of w. THAT makes it hard to report them. My MOD Queue and MODs - StarTrekGuide

Scammer are not original and most likely went to a site which offers unethical ways of acquiring cash. Probably the same site offering damn autotypers.   Solution, report all such sales of useless items. estarayella
with regards to the whole, selling high thing....   yeah its not reportable to say selling charcoal 500k, often i find that its actually a paired scam   and sometimes, its people who say buying charcoal for 500k, and then they dont ever trade.... is that scamming? its definately deception because they say they are buying and they are not, and they may just be doing it to push the price up. sometimes there are days when i really want to hit you..... this is one of those days

Sy_Accursed
This poll and its responses makes me ponder upon two things:   1) If you know people who break the rules why don't you report them? and why are you still friends with them?   2) The 6% who said 'Never' do they genuinely know all the rules of the game, because its hard to believe you have never seen a rule being broken. I mean macros and offensive language on thier own are common enough.   I personally never break the rules and any 'friend' of mine who does I hang round with til I can report them, then remove them from my list. I make sure I report everytime i see a rule being broken, hwoever this only happens occasionally due to my tendacy to be in the far flung corners of the world g lleyta Operation Gold Sparkles :: Chompy Kills ::  Full Profound :: Champions :: Barbarian Notes :: Champions Tackle Box :: MA RewardsDragonkin Journals :: Ports Stories :: Elder Chronicles :: Boss Slayer :: Penance King :: Kal'gerion Titles :: Gold Statue
estarayella
i report all i see, but its hard when people randomly pm you.... gimme yr pass n i'll put 200 mil in... yeah right!! simply cos you cant report anyone who pm's you, or if you can then i did something wrong, because it keeps telling me the person hadnt spoken :-k    anyways. i also think the delay is too long. when you are in catherby, or seers for yews, or most places in free to play, you want to report, so many people for macroing. but what is it....1 a minute or something? i'm not usually there long enough to report all the rule breakers!! sometimes there are days when i really want to hit you..... this is one of those days

stratotanker
Personaly, I'd like to see a few jagex mods walk about in full gilded, then start announcing to the wcers to walk away from the trees for a minute, and any who would not do so would be examined under the finest microscope for macroing.   Ya know, something really visible and public. It'd help morale for all players.   And, there would be so many screenies....hehehe That's what we need. Any Jagex mods, if you are reading, please do something like this. We need highly visual support. Some of us have lost hope.... estarayella
stratotanker thats a fantastic idea!   no offence to the mods, but ive never really seen them take an active role in runescape, where i have been playing. i mean i see them online and stuff, but they always just seem to playing the game with the nice shiny crown next to their name. i think a very visible, high profile crackdown in game from mods would be brilliant, and it would raise awareness too sometimes there are days when i really want to hit you..... this is one of those days

The Observer
I see rulebreaking almost everywhere. Everywhere I walk, macroers. One time I saw like 15 at the Falador yew tree. You'd swear that it was a clan of them...
muahahaha
it used to be the armour trimming scam. now no1 falls for that anymore. Its really kinda hard to get scammed (at least not too often). i think the worst problem is macroing thats why i gave up on wc, at least for now.
