May 22, 200719 yr I got to Thinking what was your favorite bands growing up? do they reflect the bands you listen to now? maybe you still listen to the same things you did 3-10 years ago. I Was born in 1990, So i fell into the Backstreet boy, "time-period" I can't deny it, same as the hundreds of thousands of other people who liked them during this time.. Then I moved onto the better stuff if you ask me, I started liking Linkin Park (still do, compliments of the Minutes to midnight cd) and I also liked P.O.D during this time... As time pasted concluding to now i like many bands like... Sum 41 Three Days Grace Saliva Rise Against 10 years Slipknot / Stone sour System of a down Breaking Benjamin Underoath 30 seconds to mars Skillet Disturbed and many more of this Genre So what was some of your first ever bands, and do they relate to your fav ones now? May 22, 200719 yr here's a brief outline of my musical tastes developing (just imagine i wrote classical music in each line as well): 1 - cleche christian music. most of it was pretty crap 2 - dc talk, newsboys, other poppy bands, mostly christian. 3 - p.o.d., chevelle, blindside, other light metal bands, still, msotly christian. 4 - zao, the agony scene, chevelle, blindside, etc. 5 - dillinger escape plan, between the buried and me, ion dissonance, etc. oh, the good old days.. anyway, i still listen to some of the bands from 4, and some of the bands from 1 and 2 when dad's driving the car, but mostly i don't listen to music that i liked even two years ago. the major thing that's affected what i listen to is probably my brother. i pretty much stole my musical taste from him (he got me into metal in the first place, with p.o.d., blindside, and other bands). then he decided he hated metal and liked indie, and i continued liking metal and also started liking indie. Cool.
May 22, 200719 yr Most of the music I used to listen to I still do. I remember listening to music like rage (RATM), korn (mostly older stuff), limp bizkit (I still like thier old stuff [musically; not a fan of Durst to be honest]), tool and a few others a loooooooong lime ago; as in back in the 90's/turn of the century. :P

May 22, 200719 yr The first two CDs I bought were the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Coldplay. I still like both, but not as much as I used to. "Da mihi castitatem et continentam, sed noli modo"
May 22, 200719 yr I grew up listening to Pink Floyd's The Wall, Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds and Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band. But that was mainly my father coices. I liked The Wall and War of the Worlds most, because the pictures in the covers of the LP and the books that came with it were so nice. When I got more of an own taste I first listened to hardcore (the dance music) a lot, when I grew a bit older again I listened a lot to rap and top 40 (this was around 16), then I started listening to what I used when I was young. It started with Mr. Putter talking about Dark Side of the Moon and how great it was, so I bought it, and picked Pink Floyd up again, and after that it didn't change drastically, and just grew to what I listen to now. My first single must have been Irene Moors & de Smurfen - No Limit/Smurfenhouse (Smurfhouse) with "Ik heb nieuwe schoenen" on the B-side. I actually found that single again in an old shoebox a couple of months ago. that was my first single. I remember bringin it to one of my friends brithday parties. And they played it, and we kept putting it louder and louder, and eventually we blew up the speakers with it. :D I was about 8 at that time, I think. Looked it up, it was 1995. Signature by Maurice SendakWhen the stars make you drool just like a pasta fazool, that's amore!
May 22, 200719 yr To be honest it wasn't until probably my freshman year that I got slightly interested in music. I started on bands like Linkin Park and some crappy 'pop punk-ish' bands for a bit. However Azvareth showed me to the wonderful world of metal 8-) . Only band I still listen to that I started listening to is Bad Religion.
May 22, 200719 yr I have, and always have had a very wide and varying taste in music. But in 1992 I was a total Take That-ette, with Robbie Williams being my favourite. I went to loads of their concerts back then. I remember feeling as if my world was going to end when they split up in 1996, it was a 16 year old girl's nightmare. Anyway, now they've reformed and I'm not ashamed to admit that I still think they're great. I saw them twice last year on their reunion tour and will be seeing them again in November. :D The Poison Fairy
