Hey guys, just popped on to ask a question...

 

 

 

I got a Mic today for my Wii version of guitar hero, it's a logitech Vantage USB Mic for the Wii. I plugged it in and turned the game on, but the thing won't read the Mic... #-o Does anyone know if this Mic is even compatible with Guitar Hero? I've checked everywhere, and in fact I saw one person say it works flawlessly. Anway, anyone have any ideas to why it won't work?

I'm positive that the mic should work, I've used it at my friends house and I know for a fact that's the one Billtvshow uses (#1 vocalist in Rock Band). I don't mean to make you sound like an idiot, but you are using the Wiimote too right? You have to have it on, and maybe try plugging the mic into the second USB slot? It could be the slot thats defective. If you can't figure it out you could try returning it and getting a new one.

Yeah sephiroth you have to have a wiimote by itself (NOT in another instrument) on and be navigating with it. I had the same problem, it took me a while to figure it out I'm sad to say.

Well, practice alot... I've only been playing guitar hero for like 11 months now... I got III for my Wii last Xmas. I was playing on hard by February. You can do it eventually after enough practice. Also, i should have played cherub rock 100% a loooong time ago, but i kept screwing up in the dumbest places (the super easy solo when i strum too fast :wall:, yet play the fastish strumming at the end 100% ) BTW, i didn't FC it, over strummed in one part, and overstrummed at the outro i didn't even know i overstrummed, and was dancing in my basement why i say 100 \

Progress is very relative to not only how much effort you put in, but how good you are with rhythm in general. There are people who have picked up this game and immediately started with Expert (yes, they exist). There are others who weren't able to do this, but still progressed quickly enough (I would be at the less skilled end of this group - I've been playing 13 months; there are people who have been playing just as long as me that have done far more amazing things - GHPhenom (TTFAF FC, Virtuoso Pack FC, Metallica Pack FC, etc.) and Cirkit (One FC and crazy one-handed stuff) both started around the same time I did).

 

 

 

Anyways, yeah... work at it and you'll get better.

when i got home from school today i turned on my ps3 and tried to sync the guitar controller and it didnt work

 

i clicked the PS button then held the connect button on the connector and it wouldnt light up, i tried using the connector in both USB ports and pretty much everything i can think of and it wont connect

Ok, I have RaBl, NoTB and One to beat on expert, I can beat Mosh 1 of RaBl when I want to and just need to get the star power right so I can beat that crazy bit. I could probably do NoTB now that I'm getting used to incredibly fast hammer-ons in songs such as CoP and CoD, so I just need to practice, but One is a different matter, I CAN'T beat Fast Solo A even with star power, and even on Hard I get a measly 40% with star power, any tips? :(

Tap your fingers on the 3 triplet notes and alt strum as fast as you can, make sure you have FULL star power., then pray to god you don't fail on Fast Solo B.

That happened to my friend, only his never worked. I suggest returning it if you can, but that's only all I know... and my friend is so damn rich he just kinda shrugged and forgot about it :evil:

 

 

 

Can't wait to get GH4, but I has no money. I'll get it for Christmas... or Rock Band (but I have a wii, so probably GH).

My red drum "broke" again, but I'm pretty sure it's a sensitivity issue because if I hit it really hard it registers fine. I ordered the USP cord to download the calibrate thing.

Heh, thanks for the info, but I figured this out about 20 minutes ago and beat the song, then I beat Raining blood... then Number Of The Beast :P So all in all a good night for me :D

 

 

 

But unfortunately I can't even hit the first solo against Lou :oops: I've only tried twice, and they've both been whammys which I missed :wall:

BYOB 5-starred. Sitting down helped me keep a steady rhythm strumming, I don't know why.

 

 

 

Only seven songs left to five-star. Four of them are in the second last set, one is Satch Boogie (duh) and the other two are outliers.

Random good run of TTFAF... If I could get more consistent at certain parts, I'd definitely be able to get 800k. This run I screwed up Rampaging Dragons and You Rock! pretty badly >_>

 

 

 

When I went to Best Buy to get my bro his birthday present, I played a bit of RB2. I tried Visions and passed it on my first try with 72%. I almost failed because the sound was permanently off so I had no sense of rhythm at all >_>

 

 

 

Rock Band still loses to GH in terms of difficulty. At least I failed a few times on Satch Boogie.
