June 2, 200719 yr I was amazed by this when I read it on teletext :o I meen, how would the world be if you woke up after 19 years in coma? His country was still communistic when the coma started. Source [http://woopidoo2.deviantart.com][Tip.it Moderator from Dec 10, 2006 to 03 Sep, 2008]

June 2, 200719 yr Its the feel-good comedy of the year! Hilarious for all the family! really its an amazing story, but it just sounds so much like a crappy movie plot. Great! All we gotta do is add is a midgit and a pet furret who loves to eat peanuts. \ Back on topic, now he'll be paralyzed for life, as he's been in a coma for 19 years, most of his muscles would have rotted, so they'll be so weak, he wont be able to move :uhh: Quit Runescape 30th May 2006.Thanks to Hawkxs for my signature :)
June 2, 200719 yr Imagine what his wife had to go through..she moved him about the bed every hour for 19 years! So that his body wouldn't become numb. O:) I want a wife like that A friend to all is a friend to none.
June 2, 200719 yr Do you think he earnt interest on his bank account? That would be so strange. With all the new technology like mobile phones and computers.. You wouldn't know much, you wouldn't know about all the discoveries and current affairs.
June 2, 200719 yr Do you think he earnt interest on his bank account? If he had a bank account his wife probably used that money to keep him alive...
June 2, 200719 yr Do you think he earnt interest on his bank account? If he had a bank account his wife probably used that money to keep him alive... It depends. If Poland offers free healthcare then his wife wouldn't have had to use any money to keep him alive (depending on how extensive the free healthcare is).
June 2, 200719 yr Wow... "What?! Capitalism?! What happened to Solidarity?!" the russians are the best! Hands down!
June 2, 200719 yr I'd just go back into a coma after I saw all of the technilogical advances.

June 2, 200719 yr Wow... "What?! Capitalism?! What happened to Solidarity?!" Lol you just made this sound very like the film "Goodbye Lenin." He who learns must suffer, and, even in our sleep, pain that cannot forget falls drop by drop upon the heart, and in our own despair, against our will, comes wisdom to us by the awful grace of God. - Aeschylus (525 BC - 456 BC)

June 3, 200719 yr This just made me remember an old Russian joke... :D As relations between the United States and the Soviet Union warmed up, some American businessmen sent a proposition to the Soviet government offering to buy Lenin's corpse for an incredibly large sum of money and have it transported to America. The American businessmen wanted it knowing that communism would eventually collapse and Lenin's body would thus be priceless. The Soviets were in desperate need of money and agreed. The businessmen decided that it would be best to put Lenin's corpse at the top of the Empire State Building. In a bizarre act of God, Lenin was somehow resurrected. From his new perch, Lenin looked out over Manhattan and said smugly to himself, "Ha! Russia has become exactly like I told the comrades it would!" the russians are the best! Hands down!
June 3, 200719 yr What amazes me today is all these people who walk around with their mobile phones and never stop moaning. I've got nothing to complain about hehe, i would agree with him though, alot of people do complain to much and to the above guy, that was a funny joke :P
June 3, 200719 yr Wow, you'd be so gutted about all the stuff you'd missed. "Da mihi castitatem et continentam, sed noli modo"
June 3, 200719 yr Know what would be terrible? If you had just married a young beautiful sexy wife with a perfect personality that was in shape and absolutely unbelievably good looking. Then you had an accident and went into a coma. In the 20 years you were in a coma she became a smoker and an alcoholic and got that nasty smoker voice, got fat from the booze, her teeth were really yellow from the smoke, her personality had completely changed, and she basically became a hag. Now that would be a bummer.

Now that would be a bummer. There's a Twilight Zone episode kinda like that (I use to always watch that show). Man goes up into space for 20-50 some odd years, comes back the same age but everyone he knows has gotten old or died. Gamertag: King Arizona
June 3, 200719 yr I would ask to be put back under if that happened. Sheesh. The popularity of any given religion today depends on the victories of the wars they fought in the past. - Me!

June 3, 200719 yr After a thread title like that i'm expecting a punch line. Back on topic: 19 years. Wow. You have to consider the mental effects of that. Also the effects on relationships he had. His wife, his kids, his friends. I thought coming back to RS after 4 months was hard. 19 years and IRL? I wonder if there has been anybody in a longer coma that returned. I would be interested in looking at what happened to them and comparing to this man as time goes on And if you do all you can, that's all you can ever do. - Warren Rudman But men are men; the best sometimes forget. - William Shakespeare
June 3, 200719 yr That's just... amazing. He must really have something important he needs to do. We arn't done with him yet! Two men were walking through the forest. When they got out, they saw a war. One said cool, and ran forward, the other turned back. Later, both envied the other's decision. Who was right? ~It's not done till you're done with it~
