June 4, 200719 yr Death waits for no one, really death is something you can't stop, however you can make it come early by doing something stupid or if someone else decides to end your life. You shouldn't lose sleep over it, that won't help and there's a slim possibility it might make things worse (depending on much sleep you lose over it). Really just ignore death, but if you're really worried about heaven/hell go to confession, then just live your life. Believe me paranoia is not something you want to deal with (this is coming from firsthand experience). June 4, 200719 yr Ah Thanatophobia, I had that when I was younger. I've recovered now. Feel free to message me if you wish to talk about it. From my early experience I remember laying there in the dark thinking about dying, and all that came to mind was laying there, not breathing, buried in the ground, for eternity and that I would never get another chance to walk the Earth again. The thought was so frightening I would throw up sometimes, I would cry, I would hide in the bathroom with a torch because eventually I associated death with night time and darkness. If that sounds anything like you, maybe I can indeed help you. It happened right up to the age of 12. The only people who tell you that you can't do something are those who have already given up on their own dreams so feel the need to discourage yours.
June 4, 200719 yr What will it be like? I expect very much like before you were born. But for Christ's sake don't worry about that kind of thing now, go out and enjoy life so that when you do die you won't have any regrets. "Da mihi castitatem et continentam, sed noli modo"
June 4, 200719 yr Hey Rebdragon, If you want truth Bowling for Columbine is the wrong video to be watching. It is a piece of propaganda trash. I watched it and I had a friend that researched up on it and it is loaded with lies. It was incredibly well done but don't let it influence you too much.
June 4, 200719 yr well things have came to my mind like where do you go when you die i seriously want to go to heaven rather than my sould being nothing but i wonder what it feels like to be nothing. And in my sleep i think about people sieing in their sleep i mean im only 12 but i cant stop thinking of this death is a scary subject for someone of my age and well ideas to get my mind to rest and off the subject of eternal rest I feel like that rarely, just not worth losing sleep over this(I am 12 too, fyi) Just get over it, after all, if you don't sleep you will die, then you will find out what really happens when you die.(send me a postcard)
June 4, 200719 yr I'm 19 and I still get like that occasionally. I don't know what it is, it might be mild depression (or in your case probably (pre)teen angst. I wish I could give you advice to get over it but if I was able to then I wouldn't get in the same state myself. All I can say is that the feeling will pass in a few days, just try to find something to occupy your mind. Yeah, this is the best advice, you're only 12 so it shouldn't be a problem, you'll be over it in a couple of days.
June 4, 200719 yr I sometimes have experiences where i am worried about the time when i finally arrive at my deathbed, but i dont let it take me over so i cant sleep. I would just really advise you to think about good and happy things that make you feel joyful, to take away the grim feelings about death.
June 4, 200719 yr The only things that will certainly happen in this world are death..............and taxes.Unless you live in Monaco. Then you don't get taxes. And you dont die..well..if your Ken Bates you don't. But OT, I used to be kind of like this, I'd be fine when I was out and around friends and stuff, but when I was on my own I'd start proper worrying. What I did, it may sound proper wierd, but i've convinced myself that heaven exists so I have something to look foreward to when I die, looking foreward to meeting family and friends that have passed on before me.
June 4, 200719 yr What the hell is wrong with you kids? I can't think of anyone I know who was like this when 12. You've got your whole smegging life ahead of you. Go out and enjoy it. You're about to go through the best part of growing up, you'll be changing or are in a new school, you shouldn't have time to worry about crap like this. Exactly my thoughts when I opened this topic. What's up with the kids here? :? Signature by Maurice SendakWhen the stars make you drool just like a pasta fazool, that's amore!
June 4, 200719 yr Not to be offensive at all or anything, but please tell me you're not an American :| . *loads gun* give ya 5 seconds to take that back. typical american reach for the gun  sorry you had that coming. To the OP there really is nothing to worry, its just an irrational fear you get when your young, you will get over it.
June 4, 200719 yr Just a thought whats scarier eternal life and never being able to die or absolute nothingness as an afterlife?
June 4, 200719 yr forget it. Worrying about death wont make life any better. pixel sig and avatar by me.
June 4, 200719 yr If you don't sleep, you'll die. I don't think you can die directly because of lack of sleep. You will just eventually fall asleep, no matter how hard you try not to.

I watched it and I had a friend that researched up on it and it is loaded with lies. It was incredibly well done but don't let it influence you too much. What did you find that was wrong with it? He had maybe one statistic, and he pretty much just said one thing: fear is the problem. I'm just interested by what your friend has to say :-k . Just a thought whats scarier eternal life and never being able to die or absolute nothingness as an afterlife? I'd say eternal life. But that's just me. Me, I want eternal rest, not eternal life. If you don't sleep, you'll die. I don't think you can die directly because of lack of sleep. You will just eventually fall asleep, no matter how hard you try not to. It's happened before :| . June 4, 200719 yr When I was lil bit younger when I got "scared" before I went sleeping I took my iPod and listened " happy music" it helped me:D
June 4, 200719 yr If you don't sleep, you'll die. I don't think you can die directly because of lack of sleep. You will just eventually fall asleep, no matter how hard you try not to. Yeah after about 6-7 days of sleep deprivation your body will just collapse of sheer exhaustion, I don't think you can actually die.
June 4, 200719 yr What did you find that was wrong with it? He had maybe one statistic, and he pretty much just said one thing: fear is the problem. I'm just interested by what your friend has to say Think . I'll have to ask him about it again because it has been several years and I don't really remember all the specifics. If he still has the info I can either private message you or start a thread about it. Whatever you prefer.
June 4, 200719 yr Jeez you kids are scaring me, thinking you'll die in your sleep. You aren't going to die in your sleep... just lock your windows and doors, and keep a nice ice pick on your bedside table.
June 5, 200719 yr If you don't sleep, you'll die. I don't think you can die directly because of lack of sleep. You will just eventually fall asleep, no matter how hard you try not to. Yeah after about 6-7 days of sleep deprivation your body will just collapse of sheer exhaustion, I don't think you can actually die.I'm sure some Korean bloke died of heart failure after playing World of warcraft for about 3 days straight. What a muppet.
June 5, 200719 yr I got a soulution, do whatever like to do for a few days and whatever you do try not to think about it, if you actually listen to this post in a few days it should stop happening, contradictory to my first post I was only about to make a topic because it's been going on longer than the other times... If you don't think it about for a few days it should stop and even if you do think about it it probably won't last as long as it is now. Your name is "bet you fail", and you're starting a business with your mom? I'm not even going to touch that.....

June 5, 200719 yr I'm sure some Korean bloke died of heart failure after playing World of warcraft for about 3 days straight. What a muppet. That wasn't because of sleep deprivation, that's because everything he was doing was unhealthy.
