June 11, 200719 yr Do you rather killing players, monsters, etc. or training your skills? Myself i prefer skills because they are easier and less demanding, you do not have to keep watching your health and don't have to worry about your barrows degrading and needing to go fix it. Skills FTW
June 11, 200719 yr I'd rather skill, allthough killing other players can be fun once in a while, and who knows, it might be rewarding :). Some people dream of success, while others make it happen.
June 11, 200719 yr It depends on my mood really... so my preference changes. For the last few months it's been combat and slayer training. I like the variety. Although sometimes I quite like doing a "Click and forget" skill, if I'm a little busy or just want to browse with RS in the background.
June 11, 200719 yr if i could change now, skills. i enjoy farming (hate mining) and its fu when your talkin to your mates hav'n a good time eh'? Popoto.~<3
June 11, 200719 yr I go along with the Guthix thang above. I find that being high level combat makes some skills so much easier. At cb 121 I rarely if ever get attacked running the abyss, I enjoy farming too and have plenty of hp to spare when I run to the Trollheim herb patch without armour. Hunter animals don't hurt as much with high def and hits. I find all the quests to be unchallenging (combat-wise) and thus easier to benefit from their rewards. I also dislike mining, but when I am, people tend to switch worlds thinking I'm also high mining level and that they wouldn't compete. Being combat 111 or above makes crafting a lot quicker as it's easier to get blue dragons for hides and bones for prayer. Obviously, slayer is easier with high cb levels, and killing certain monsters for seeds etc. is easier and quicker. So, a bit of both is good. : Don't follow me. You might not make it.All your accounts are belong to us now.If this were a dictatorship, it'd be a heck of a lot easier, just so long as I'm the dictator
June 11, 200719 yr Combat. I honestly cannot see how people can get 99 in certain skills(mining, herblore, firemaking, nearly every other like these). Click this into that, repeat 59345834 times. I just, ugh. Combat on the other hand can be exciting. I really don't understand how it can be stressful, I mean sheesh, it's a game. I enjoy smacking different stuff around, and getting the drops.
June 11, 200719 yr I like the fact that you don't know what you're getting with combat. If I string an unstrung yew longbow I get a strung yew longbow whereas if i kill a dust devil, I might get a D chain or I might get nothing but bones. I like the not-knowing. Unfortunately, I got fed up with people insulting me due to my low total level so i trained skills for ages so now that I've got a 1600+ total, I'll be slaying for a while. \ My friend you would not tell with such high zest / to children ardent for some desperate glory / the old lie: Dulce et decorum est / pro patria mori. These 'noobs' are not people as such, they are soulless creations of corporate greed.
June 11, 200719 yr I like both but when it comes doown to it combat. I like to see my character getting stronger and having a CB of 90 Barrows drops: Torags pl8, Torgas legs, Guthans chainskirt
June 11, 200719 yr *points to siggie* combat jockey, made 100 in under 4 months, 123 in 12 months and 125 at 20 months. did some skilling long the way so it CAN be done a LOT faster of course, but I do consider myself a combat jockey :) this is my stat shot (siggie minus the 4 mil exp i got in last week) after 20 months of playing, was deployed to Iraq for 8 months, so didn't have any play time. I am back though, watch out :) I go along with the Guthix thang above. I find that being high level combat makes some skills so much easier. At cb 121 I rarely if ever get attacked running the abyss, I enjoy farming too and have plenty of hp to spare when I run to the Trollheim herb patch without armour. Obviously, slayer is easier with high cb levels, and killing certain monsters for seeds etc. is easier and quicker. So, a bit of both is good. : well put, thats how i saw it also, high combat makes everything else easier. RS name: lord krohn Combat 138slayer specific: 103 whips, 38 dark bows and 250+ dragon boots dropped to date.Dragon drops: 5 Half shields, 21 drag legs, 8 dragon skirts, and 9 drag meds dropped to date.
June 11, 200719 yr Skills. But I understand the importance of Combat. Owner of Quest Cape since 11/9/2007 23:30! Working my butt off to get it back.
June 11, 200719 yr I like skilling more, but killing someone else in a while is fun. :D Credits to Skully Sc for the signature.
June 11, 200719 yr Well, i like combat but combat skills that don't really count as combat..if you get me. I like mage which is combat but i like alching, i like range but i'm standing behind a barrier just hitting stuff. I don't really like skills anymore, i prefer a minigame like castle wars or barrows (i go to barrows once a month for 1 trip and i usually get an item). I go for a week really enjoying a skill then give up on it for a while, the oppertunity to change what im doing is why i use select instead of a pure/pking account because i can do what suits me on rs instead of constant combat.
June 11, 200719 yr The path of Guthix lies in balance +1 i don't enjoy skills too much except for farming and mining, because you don't do anything. it's just something to distract you while you are looking at TIF or chatting with friends. mining and farming are exciting and fun though because they're not one-click skills and therefore harder to train as well. but i train all skills and combat because balance is power, nobody ever got onto the front page of totals by having 2 99's and the rest 1's.
June 11, 200719 yr Combat is a skill, so this discussion is void :P The Complete MTA Handbook | Runecrafting Pouch Analysis | Mobilizing Armies Locator Index
June 11, 200719 yr combat is a skill isn't it? i like doing combat and slayer more than mining, smithng, etc. though Don't Click This774th to 99 hunting on July 16th 2007
June 11, 200719 yr Skills, though I find Range to be very fun. "And if Strength is born from Heartbreak, then mountains I could move..."GMT-5:00
June 11, 200719 yr looking at what the game as a whole respect more..... it's skills. People always seem to respect the low level with high skills than they do the high level with low skills (points at pc high levels) I am a ballanced person and like combat and skills equally :)
June 11, 200719 yr I like skills way more then combat, But somehow it is good to have high combat level aswell ~ #-o Fishing: Monks in piscatoris.Runecrafting: Abyss runecrafting..Contact Me On TIF ~ Private is set to | Friends ~
June 11, 200719 yr Back in the RSC days, combat (Because you could get away with just being a powerhouse) With the way the game is nowadays, however, you have to be more balanced. I consider myself a mix now. Metal fans, check out my band!Still the King....
