sour_tacos
Well, this one was stupid. I was probably 10 years old, and I was just falling asleep. My Barbie (Yes, you heard me right. Barbie.) sleeping bag was rolled up at the foot of my bed. I must've rolled over, because the sleeping bag slid off the bed, and hit the floor, pulling with it a few little things I had sitting on my windowsill (My bed was right by the window.) The zipper rubbing against the rest of the sleeping bag sounded a ton like my window opening for some reason. Add the effect of things falling off of my window, and I was convinced some guy had just pryed open my window and was about to kill me. So I stuck my head under my pillow and screamed. In come my parents, thinking I was dying or something, only to see the sleeping bag and the stuff from my window sitting on the floor. With my head still in the pillow, I explained what happened. They started cracking up, and reassured me that nobody was at my window. Needless to say, being 10, this didn't help. I barely slept that night. :XD:
Striker6
When I was bungee Jumping in Bloukran River in South Africa the moment I got up to the edge and ready to jump I was the most scared I have ever been in my whole life. It's 700ft down, I had to just go. Turns out it was a blast! :D Oh I also remember the first time I tried to bungee jump. I was 11 at the time and I thought I could jump off 212m (app. 636 ft) I looked down, and HOLY COW it looked scary. I wussed out so it ended up being not an experience at all. Oh well. But if given a chance now, I'd jump off at any height Do you know how annoying it is to read what you're writing? Why are you doing that? [developmentally delayed]. Anyway mine is probably when I almost drowned a couple of years back :-k

Nero
Don't worry about all the people calling you racist Wassup. Just next time when you're describing people make sure you only describe them as either: "Homosapiens" or "humans" to avoid any conflict. ortiz9471
I was home alone one day.. I was 11 at the time. It was a while ago. So I'm just sitting on a couch and all of a sudden a guy holding a hammer dressed in all black pops up next to a window at the back of my house. I think WHAT THE HELL and run and call my mom (I don't go call the cops and have them come storming in my house when I'm not that sure what's going on). Me:There's a guy in all black with a hammer at the back window! My mom:Is there a gas truck out side the house? Me:..yeah.. My mom:Is it the window with the gas tank next to it? Me:..yeah.. bye.. Gave me QUITE the scare.

SirHartlar
I would divulge about my childhood fear of the 'Baa Baa Black Sheep' nursery rhyme, but I dunno... It has the word black in it, that isn't too racist is it? :-s I never was scared of that poem. The scariest moment of my life happened on a night hike with my Scout group. We got badly lost and ended up having to walk through these ruins adjacent to a graveyard. Some penis heads decided to set up a screamer. It was loud, but the echo of the hall made it even louder. We all cacked ourselves and half of us ended tripping up. We all ran through the village, I nearly puked up. Then they drove past in their car, laughing at us.... Guthix_Girl
lets see.. i was about 9 and my friend was sleeping over.. there was this convicted murderer wandering down our streeet (at the time i obviously didnt know that he was a criminal) so the guy turns around and stares at us cause we were taking a walk. he slowly started walking towards us and so we screamed and ran. i mean i dont think ive ever ran faster. anyways, so we get back to the house and tried to forget about it. a few hours later at about 11 pm my dad came home from work and he said there were two cops parked at both ends of the street. my friend and i asked my dad what was going on and he said the police are trying to catch a convicted murderer that is wondering our street. it was terrifying. especially to learn that the guy could have easilly killed us Never take life too seriously, nobody gets out alive. beltran22
To the people saying he's racist. Maybe he shouldn't have assumed they were armed, but african americans make up a bigger portion of convictions for violent crimes than any other race in america. That implies far more about the police than it implies about black people. Think about it. Ambassadar
That implies far more about the police than it implies about black people. Think about it. I live in one of the five or ten most dangerous cities in the US. I would have no problem at all walking around in the southern and eastern portions of the city at night. There is no way in heck I would walk around the western and northern portions of the city at night. There are basically no murders in the southern and eastern parts of town. There are 100+ murders a year total in this city. I have a friend that worked as a nurse in a hospital in the western part of town and she said hearing gunshots was a regular thing. Is that just the police being unjust or maybe just maybe there is a culture problem with violence going on...
Ambassadar
As to the original topic my scariest moment was when I was climbing on some cliffs when I was about 13 years old. A group of friends and I made it to the top of a 40 or 50 foot cliff and we were sitting at the top. I happened to sit on a batch of crumbly moss. As I made slight movements it was grinding the moss into a fine powder. Suddenly, my grip on the rock gives away and I start sliding on this moss/powder slowly to the edge. I try to put every piece of myself possible in contact with the rock to stop me but I keep sliding towards the edge. My heart was racing as I slid closer and closer to a 40 foot drop onto rocks below. One to two feet from the edge of the cliff I stopped sliding. Whew... That moment scared the crud out of me. I thought I was dead meat.

Actualy it implies that more black people commit crimes than white people  (not that there isen't some racist stuff going on behind the scenes). Maby the scariest instant for me would be falling out of an apple tree when I was 7. I might have broken something, it would have been a 10 foot fall. I say 'would' because i caught the branch I fell off of on the way down. Or that time I was alone with a friend, we were atching americas most wanted: "serial killer...belived to be in the maritimes(eastern canada)...headded for halifax (and surrounding area) Nova Scotia" Well I live in the surrounding area of Halifax, and I have no clue why they thoughgt he was headed there. Nearly craped my pants though. They caught the guy about a week later in PEI because someone saw his picture on the show and recognised him in the street. But that is not something you wan't to hear at 1am, unless you don't plan on sleeping that night in which case it's more effective than caffine (like red bull). minimeedude
My family and i went over to an uncle's house for a christmas get together. Usually my uncle leaves the front door open since it's what he used to and my other uncle was coming over, it was about 8 at night and suprisingly my uncle came over early (he usually comes late) so we welcome his family and him and he locks the door. About 10 minutes later we hear this REALLY loud banging on the front door and we rush to the door and ask who it is, all the guy yells is "help!!!let me in!"and repeats it. Some of us go and check who it is from a side window, we see a 20 year old guy with a HUGE knife in his hand and booze in his other. My dad yells for the phone and grabs it and runs to the door, the guy trying to get in probably would have barged down the door if not for my dad putting his weight against it, so with him against the door he dials 911 and a few seconds later 4 cop cars come with dogs and a police officer points a gun at the guy trying to get in the house, he lying on the grass muttering something. A cop comes in and questions my dad on some things and leaves a while later with the guy. This scared the jeepers out of me, if my uncle hadn't had come 10 minutes early, some of us could've have been seriously injured or dead.
