Saving Private Ryan is awesome, but shouldn't this be in music and movies as I'm sure you'll find out when board trolls come your way with their pitch forks.

word..

Don't you know the first rule of MMO's? Anyone higher level than you has no life, and anyone lower than you is a noob.

People in OT eat glass when they are bored.

Saving Private Ryan, easy.

That and Band of Brothers. Amazing movies.

I like the old war films - they're just great sunday afternoon viewing. The older ones are especially great as they seem to all have iconic soundtrack (ie. Dam Busters, Great Escape and Bridge over the River Kwai)

Definitely Band of Brothers if it counts. I never saw it on HBO, but when my parents got it on DVD I watched all 10 hours in a sitting it was that good.

Every time my wife and I finish BoB episode #10, we say "ok, ready to start the 1st one again?". Half joking / half-serious :) Absolutely amazing series, even the music is great (I have the soundtrack and sometimes play it at work just for the hell of it).

I kinda liked flags of our fathers but it was too boring at some parts. More like a "shut the hell up and watch it so you can learn" in schools

Yeah i love Letters frim Iwo Jima, not only because im Japanese but its well made. Saving Private Ryan is great too. Band of bros is good but its not really a movie and i havent seen all of it.

By the way, dont say, jap. Its racist you dumb cracker.

saving private ryan owns...can't really get into the old ones much, though.

I know what you mean by the old ones. Like patton, i saw it and made me switch the channel instantaniously. I flipped through the channels and saw "Big Red one" and thought, "wow, ive heard of call of duty big red one, ill watch it!" but it was boring...

Yeah I love Band of Brothers. I rewatching my box-set at the moment, just finished episode 3.

I'm much looking forward to The Pacific

Saving Private Ryan sucks. Other than the opening scene there's nothing special about it.

Anyway, I don't have a 'favorite' war movie because war movies aren't 'fun' or something.

Two WWII movies which I think are very good:

Nobi

The Thin Red Line
