Human graphics update

 

 

 

A little while back ago, in membership benefits, there were pictures of humans with good graphics better than the ones we have now, said an RS forumer.

 

 

 

Now I have a question to ask you. Do you have any pics of these? I am curious about what he is talking about. Does anyone have the pics of these looking good characters?

 

 

 

 

 

SUMMARY

 

I'd like to see the revamped player graphics pics from member benefits on the kb a little while ago.

if they wanna make em briliant they should just make them look like me

Human graphics updates would be great, I'd love it, but I'm sure if it was to ever happen, it'd have to be in small batches (Like how NPC humans in the Falador got updated a bit). The reason? There are so many different possible models of humans. Not only the thousands of NPCs ranging from Man to Jail Guard to Radimus Erkle would need to be updated, there are also hundreds of individual items us humans can put on that would need to be updated to match our slightly modified appearances, etc.

 

 

 

In other words, it'd be a really big update. I'd love it, but unless they've been working on it for some time now behind the scenes, or unless they plan to devote all their manpower to it, it would take several months to complete.

@ above, please actually read the post, i'm not suggesting anything, I'm just asking for some pics.

This may be depressing, but those pictures weren't of improved player models. :cry:

 

What your seeing is simply a fuzzy, blurry pictures. Most of Jagex's pictures are .jpg's, so they come up a tad fuzzy. What your seeing isn't upgraded graphics, but downgraded graphics.

Anyways, I saw that post and they were talking about the sneak peak of the museum. The people look more realistic in that pic but i'm not sure if it's still there, wait, check if the people in the museum like anything new. Hope that helps :thumbsup:

Well, from what I heard on the forum thread is there was a man in player owned house realtor outfit sitting on a bench. I don't mean to sound demanding, but if you have a picture of it, can you share it?

Actually, you're confused. Go to the rs homepage. See all the pictures of people there? They're all smooth looking, right? Well thats because the fuzziness smoothens out the graphics.

there was one like stilev's pic in the bugs and suggestions forum. apparently some messed up clothing but maybe its just new graphics...

No it's JPEG so it's crappy quality. The fuzzyness just makes it look better for some reason.

They're lower image quality. RS details just look horrible so it looks better without them.

There used to be more pics but jagex got rid of them off the kb, one pic had a character with some boots that looked like dragon and the character was running in lumby. (lumby also had a blue sky in the pic) the character might have had some sort of red looking cape. Another picture had a really nice looking bow that was shaped as the zammy symbol.

Yeah, I saw the cape one, it was odd, as capes in Runescape don't bend like that

Yeah, it's just the crappy quality of the jpegs softening the graphics of RS... :|

The downgraded quality graphics look much better. How odd.
