June 27, 200719 yr Well I used to enjoy Mining, and I still do somewhat. I'm still dead set on my goals. But the engine update made Mining worse, from what I can see... -Rock respawn rates do not change no matter how many people are in the world. -You can no longer 1-hit Granite as far as I can tell, mined hundreds and hundreds of them and my pick will usually always hit the rock once, otherwise multiple times. -This skill is click-based, and the servers respond slowly now, I click and my avatar responds seconds later. I have a very fast computer and good internet connection, so I know for a fact that isn't it. This may effect other skills, aswell.

Not all F2Pers are beggars or scammers, some are respected members, but these respected people are over-populated by these beggar and scammers.

June 27, 200719 yr Im mining granite and 1 hitting perfectly fine, im 96 mining of course. The respawn is as fast as even and I have NO pauses when clicking.

June 28, 200719 yr Mining is sertonly not useless, it is one of the most fun non combat skills in my opinion. Think about it....what other skill can you train that all you need is the main lvs to do it? The only cost that can occur from mining is the pick, and you can make that up VARY fast. No skill is useless, and each skill has its own perpose....It is just up to you to find the use. June 28, 200719 yr I agree, mining is by far useless. First of all, how can you use your 91+ runecrafting level without mining? Sure sure, buying it but if everyone agreed with you, where would the rune essences come from? But there is nothing wrong with your oppinion, just don' t go on flaming people and telling them that it' s useless. I for one love mining and like runecrafting, but I don' t realy like to train that skill. And mining can be very profitable in two ways: making steel bars (train smithing along mining and you are 40 smithing quick) or mining runite ore. Belive me, I' ve made 300k in an hour with steel bars, as long as the mining guild is half full. And runite ores, whell, they' re 13k each and it takes you bout 30 min to mine a full load of runite ores at 85 mining. That' s about 700k an hour if you' re lucky, or 500k an hour average. June 28, 200719 yr I love mining, and hope that if what you said is true, then jagex will fix it. Right now, I'm working on 60 mining. who cares, mining is a stupid useless skill. All you need is 15 mining and a pickaxe and you can make an easy 100k if you have the patience to mine 1k iron ore. And when you get 30 mining and 30 smithing, you can sell the steel bars for around 550gp each. 30 mining doesn't even take long to get. 91 runecrafting takes a long time.

June 29, 200719 yr 91+ rcing is the only decent money with skilling so then where does the food you use when training combat come from? the arrows you use for ranged? the nats you alch with? skills are a lot better for money than combat, really as for this rant: people are ranting about everything, 'fletching is too easy now' 'fight caves are too hard' 'mining is too hard'... stay constant with rants now please? ----- where did all these ads come from???
