Don't people care about the work other people have done to try buy the things they want. Well back to the drawing board to earn another 750 k.. another week or two... :evil:

June 28, 200719 yr they scam because they know that us, being human beings, are too stupid to realize that we are being scammed until it's too late. happened to me once, but it wasn't as serious. i was only scammed outta 40k and that was the only time. Currently will be using my Oni Tsurugi account to attempt to get 99 on all free skills without spending any gp, just for the sake of doing so.
June 28, 200719 yr I think the people who are scammed are just as bad as the scammers. I was about to make a topic on this but I won't waste anybody's time with that. It seems every 5 seconds you hear someone complaining about "Oh I just got scammed out of 10m" or "sorry I can't pk with you I got scammed for 4634872 dollarz and a pony". Sure, it's horrible for people to attempt to cheat others out of their money, but THAT'S WHAT THE SECOND TRADE WINDOW IS FOR. How in god's name do you make a 10m trade and NOT CHECK THE DAMN WINDOW? "Oh look, I was going to buy a gold rune plate, but there is no (g) next to it, I wonder if there is anything wrong with this? Oh well I'll trade anyway, must be a glitch". DURRRRR \ =D> \ =D> Complaining about scammers is cool, but complaining about being scammed is not. I lose all e-respect for any person who falls for a trade scam. It's such a cop-out excuse.
June 28, 200719 yr You could use my behavioral stages of runescape players, most people when they first play this game view it only as "some other game"- and not what it truly is- a large, complex community. They have nothing to lose, because they literally just joined, and therefore try to scam other players for easy money- because perhaps they cannot find a good way to get money. As for the higher level scammers, I think they're either quitting runescape, and as a last stand they just scam like crazy and get banned, or they're just idiots. By popular demand, this signature is back- however I currently do not have a blog up at the moment and if I did I wouldn't update it. Sorry, the sig links to nowhere :( .
June 28, 200719 yr some guy told me he would make me blue chaps (i just went fast on a whim) he logged after i traded the materials. i had more hides, but i reported him anyway, since he was a noob and deserved to be banned. ppl scam b/c they are lowlives, especially those who scam and think they wont get in trouble.

June 28, 200719 yr To the oringinal post, no, they do NOT care about other people's work. They care about themselves only and being able to spare time by scamming instead of working. No solution to this, just learn to adapt to new kinds of scams. You're being watched.
