Italian5kamikaze
since the update made monsters move diagonally? I was just curious to see how many have gotten it since then, since it seems harder to get now because you cant trap the monsters in a safespot. If so tell what method you used, ie ranging it, or guthans. Quit. PM me if you play The Conduit to exchange friend codes.

Makoto_the_Phoenix
Wait a second. I thought "nerfing" was when something was weakened to the point of impractical use, i.e. a Nerf Bat (or the Barrelchest Anchor). In that connotation, Fight Caves hasn't been nerfed. But no, I haven't done Fight Caves again (I have my cape and I'm not planning on losing it). lchaosl
Nerfing also means making something much harder than it was. I can't think of a runescape example besides fight caves but in guild wars they constantly made the droknars forge run harder, thus nerfing the droknars forge run. I don't think it was fair to change it after so many people got it with the safespot.

And this update made monsters move in a more logical way, which is definetly not nerfing. In Soviet Russia, glass eats OTers. Alansson Alansson, woo woo woo! Lugia_Lvl138
I can think of something else nerfed in that way. Verac at Barrows. He used to not hit through prayer, but after a hidden update he did. Those 70-80s doing the barrows in like monks robes were in for quite a shock and the rants forum was flooded. On topic, I won't be doing the caves until a "neo guide" is out. 4x Phat owner: Blue, Green, 2x Purple 3100+ GWD bosses soloed.Solo GWD Drops:5 Bandos Plates, 4 Bandos Boots, 3 Bandos Hilts, 2 Arma Helms, Arma Skirt, Arma Plate, 3 Arma Hilts, 4 Zammy Spears, Steam Staff, 15 Sara Swords, 6 Sara Hilts, 29 Shards. Wkw
It is quite the same, really. Instead of running in one direction, like the monsters used to, you must "drag" them to the safe spots.. Not too hard really.. Sure you might get a few hits, but if you can't take some 20s without going under half hp, you shouldn't be doing caves. Instead of saying making it harder, people just say nerfed, just like instead of making it weaker, people say nerfed. There is no real definition so it all come down to how people use it. beniscool218
I did it the day after they changed monster movements, and I made it to Jad 4 times (I died because of my own mistakes). It's really not harder at all, I don't know why everyone is whining. Click here. If you go there good things will transpire.

hardwick246
Nothing really has changed. You just have to be more aware of the 180s as they want to come face-to-face. It all just started with some person trying to get the fire cape and failed because he/she didn't expect the monsters to move diagonally. They put that into the RSOF and the word spread out. Now people are sat to believe this junk while the truth is hidden. It is not a big change. Just be prepared for it and raise some hitpoint and range levels. Yes I have the fire cape. \ Need help or advise? Have a question? Just PM me through Runescape or Tip.it. :)

Then do what I do: dragon halberd and Guthans; with that, I can easily get to the 360s without using any prayer or using up any bolts or crystal bow charges. I use that to practice the caves. I've never gotten the fire cape, never even made it to Jad. I don't care that it was made harder; it'll just make it more difficult for me to get the cape, and I like a challenge. Empowering would be a better word, but wouldn't really make sense in runescape unless the monsters are empowered with logic to move sideways or something to that effect. well today at 11:30 am 14 years ago i was born.. wo0t!!!At 11:30 you should start holding your head underwater wo0t!!!Stop acting such a moron. muggiwhplar
It isn't any harder unless you're a pure - pretty much how it was before I learned how to lure and updated my guide - you take hits from the 90s, which aren't that lethal if you've got barrows gear and/or a high def lvl
Matok
Whats the big deal ??? so you'll have to do some extra maneuvers in order to get the beasts where u want them. Havn't been there since the update but thats only because i finnaly realized that my 30 years old instincts are not fast enough for the prayer switchin thing vs Jad :(
