The Illogic of Brutal Green Dragons

Featured Replies

Well, I agree with it being harder to kill and all, I mean a lvl 227 monster should never be killable without food or prayer... Anyways the problem is the draconic visage :S:S:S Why on earth would they make this drop "draconic visage" which is dropped by ALL dragons and then a few weeks later release a new dragon that doesn't drop it :S:S

Ohw and btw brutal green should be harder because it's drops are better ;) Especially the chewed bones which can get you a D Full Helm...

brutal greens also hit much much less often and are easier to hit.

I go in veracs armour, whip and dragonfire shield, super set, and I can get a full load of hides off of 10 swordfish. Their drops arent too bad so far, rune chains, loads of bloods and other runes, I even got a d med. Stupid that they don't drop visage though. :|

With Ancients tele to the Lv20+ Wild greens, I can get a full load of hides+bones with

4 monkfish, sometimes less. And I bet it takes me alot less time as well. :-s

PKers aren't even a very big problem. When PKers show up you just "operate" your

glory amulet back to Edgeville and come back ready to kick their butts.

All in all, those brutal greens just really, really don't seem worth it.

My greatest ambition is to kill every member of the human race.

I thought about it and your soooooooo wrong qeltar..... They are merely more powerful versions of a green dragon. They where once green dragons that just became more powerful. So in essence its almost the same as taking a green dragon and rasing its lvl to 227.

So what? Where is it written that the color of the dragon has anything to do with it?

Here's the announcement from Jagex when the dfire shield was released: "Oziach has recently found a way for members to upgrade this shield using a draconic visage - a powerful artefact from a forgotten age that is only occasionally dropped by powerful dragons."

See the last four words? "Dropped by powerful dragons".

Brutal greens are more powerful than black dragons. They hit harder and they are harder and more expensive to kill. Period.

Draconic visages are rare drops from dragons (only adult black, iron, steel and mithril, and the King Black Dragon) and skeletal wyverns.

Since now you're just going over rhetoric, I don't see the point in quibbling with this issue any longer. Someday you'll come to the realization that this entire quibble was pointless.

Consider the fact that many of their common drops are worth more than a hide. if you kill a brutal and it drops 20 bloods and the 2 hides, thats like getting 4 hides at once. Qeltar, they DON'T HIT HARDER THAN BLACKS. they hit less and much less often. Please get a clue about what your talking about. I can tell your as stubborn as a bull addicted to crack, so I am going to leave this conversation now.

If you don't like the Brutal Greens, by all means stop going there and think of something else to train on.

This thread is pointing out Jagex's illogical stance. If you don't like the thread, then by all means stop coming here and think of some other thread to post on.

Since when have JaGeX known for logical stuff??

How can we eat 28 freaking sharks in 1min??? How can we eat the whole lobster with the shell? How come we never have to go toilet?

If you want logical stuff, dont play RS.

Duh.

That's what they currently are. I am saying that the brutal greens are omitted if you use logical means of assessing what a powerful dragon is.

Since now you're just going over rhetoric, I don't see the point in quibbling with this issue any longer. Someday you'll come to the realization that this entire quibble was pointless.

Someday you'll take a logic class and learn how to understand a simpe syllogism.

Perhaps you are going to leave it because you are totally talking smack?

Black dragons don't hit AT ALL. You either hide in a safespot or you use prayer. NO damage.

Brutal greens have no safespots. You have to pray AND range or pray AND take damage with melee.

Go and range or hally three black dragons from a safespot, and then hally three green brutals. Tell me which does more damage.

sorry to be a bit dumb but what are and where are brutal green dragons?

Barrows Drops: Guthans Helm, Dharok Legs, Ahrims Hood

do green dragons drop the visage? no. neither do older green dragons

Thread over.

Treasure trail items: 9

Dragon drops: 0

barbarians and kalphite queen both drop sheield left half, but one is lvl 18, and the other is level 333x2

The shield half was never portrayed as something that was only dropped by the strongest monsters.

The visage WAS.

still, what people are trying to achieve is getting brutals to drop visages. why? because brutals have alot less def and hp then blacks, so you can kill them alot faster if you dont take the hides up. Brutals arent strong enaugh to drop visages, and jagex was right to not make them drop it.

Poppycock. They are NOT a lot faster to kill.

More to the point, there are far fewer people who can kill them and it costs MONEY to kill them.

I just hallied some brutal greens for fun. Try it, then go see how many people are doing that with blacks.

Try camping at the greens ranging without prayer or food like people do at the blacks.

sorry, but i have the stats and money it takes to kill monsters properly- i dont need to hide behind a rock to kill something- get your torags and whip out and try it- you rarely hit on black dragons but brutal greens are a laugh.

All monsters are not supposed to be killed by level 65s with rune halberd and 3 trouts in their backpack, and if the black drags drop visage- good for them, just dont cry about it, every monster has its combat stats spread out differently, thats why lvl 113 trolls hit 30s and abyssal demons only hit 8s, and why noobs can easily kill hellhounds, but get into trouble against something with more defence. Brutal greens combat stats are focused on agression- magic, attack and strength levels, but lack hitpoints and defence experiance- black dragons on the otherhand have equal melee stats, high hitpoints and no magic or ranged attack.

Many people say the dragon axe is just as good a rune.

Err, who says that? The Dragon axe is a good bit faster than a rune axe. People make too many assumptions. :wall:

Well pointed out, yet I think Jagex made it with the intention of it being a monster for that barbarian mini game only. Unless it's also a slayer monster? Cause if it isn't, no matter how thoughtless and illogical it was to bring out a monster with those differences, it could be explained by the fact Jagex didnt make it so people would train on it and simply make it another monster for the mini game

i am nuetral on this topic. i am only lvl 77 so i havn't killed black or brutal green dragons yet. but forget about the argument, and go to the start of this topic and read the whole thing. if you have a sense of humour, you should laugh the whole time. i did. it was one of the funniest topics i have ever read. the way you guys speak to each other :XD: . you use big words but talk like 10 year olds.

gordhammer1.png

You see, when a mommy noob and a daddy noob really love each other...
You get 2 green d hides per kill, makes collecting hides safer yet harder.

I disagree. There's just as great a danger of being killed by a brutal green dragon as pkd while killing greens in the wild I think.

AND, it will cost more in pots and food to kill a brutal green then what the green hides can sell for.

I won't even bother with the brutal greens for now.

aglipoy.png
...Unless it's also a slayer monster?...

Voldmort0, if you get a Green Dragon assignment then either Greens or Brutal Greens work fine.

On topic, I did find it a bit odd that the Brutal Greens don't drop them, but I'm not losing any sleep over it. The dragons in this cave are among the oldest and most intelligent of the dragons - hence being able to attack with magic based attacks.

My opinion is that with all the controversy and confusion that occurred when the draconic visage made it's appearance, Jagex just decided it would be easier in the long run to just not have the brutals drop the visage.

It had to be drilled into people's heads that the only dragons that dropped it were adult blacks, higher level metals and the king black.

If this "green" dragon dropped it imagine the confusion that would ensue from people now thinking that normal "greens" dropped them as well. Just take a look over at the RSOF and you can easily see that a great number of players would not be able to grasp this concept without having their hands held :wall:

Ooooooooooh, you're such a stud... I'm getting all weak in the knees. Please allow me to bend down and kiss your rune boots!

Ahem, now then.. back to the subject.

I don't really care if you're so manly that you can kill black dragons with prayer off using bronze armor and a rubber chicken. There are thousands upon thousands of players who can easily kill blacks who could never do much of anything against brutal greens.

I don't believe it is reasonable that easier monsters drop something that is supposed to be from "powerful" dragons while more difficult ones do not. Simple as that.

Qeltar, you need to learn to shut up. That little attitude of yours will go nowhere in real life.

You need to stop coming on here to complain also, and learn to abandon your petty views when there are so many against them.
