July 25, 200718 yr atheist ftw :thumbsup:No, no it's not. After you die you become part of the earth. You become part of a tree. and with that tree you'll be turned into paper! With that paper we'll use to make The Bible. - Dane Cook I'm Christian by the way. Thank you, you just made me slightly sick. With so many trees in the city you could see the spring coming each day until a night of warm wind would bring it suddenly in one morning. Sometimes the heavy cold rains would beat it back so that it would seem that it would never come and that you were losing a season out of your life. But you knew that there would always be the spring as you knew the river would flow again after it was frozen. When the cold rains kept on and killed the spring, it was as though a young person had died for no reason. In those days though the spring always came finally but it was frightening that it had nearly failed.
July 25, 200718 yr i have no religion I dont like to think life is controled by one person it just seems wrong
July 25, 200718 yr i have no religion I dont like to think life is controled by one person it just seems wrong Absolutely correct! Too bad a God is not a person...and some religions believe in many Gods. By the way, I'm a Shiah Ismaili (dont call me a Twelver!) Nizari Muslim. We follow This dude. Yep... We follow the direct descendants of the Prophet. The first Imam being Hazrat Ali, his nephew and husband of his daughter Fatima. This branch is called the Shiah Muslims. After the first 12 Imams there was a dispute about the current Imam. The twelvers said he went into hiding and will come out. The Ismailis moved on to the next son. We are called Ismaili Muslims after Mowlana Ismail. A couple of generations later there was another split. There were two sons of one of the Imams. The each had different mothers. The older one we believe is the rightful successor to the Imam of that time. His name was Mowlana Nizar. However, the younger son had more power (his mother's brother was head of the military so he was favored there). That branch is called the mustali branch which is pretty much almost dead...kind of. Mowlana Nizar fled to Alamut, a fortress in Iran set up by Hasan Bin Sabbah. The Muslims of Alamut only survived because they were skilled assassins (this came from the word Hasinin or follower of Hasan. It eventually evolved into assassin). They sustained attacks my many Iranian leaders including Saladin (if you know who he is). Eventually they moved out of Iran because of the Mongols. The Imam fled to India but could not return because of the British and Muslims between Iran and India. Now, we reside primarily in central Asia, Canada, US, Pakistan, Europe, East Africa, Russia, China and some in the Middle East (Egypt and Syria). We do not have followers in Iran, Iraq, or Saudi. Heh, guess that's what 9 years of Religious ed. does to ya. Trix.--quit WoW as of 12/07Thank you 4be2jue for the wonderful sig and avatar!

July 25, 200718 yr ethebloody"]I''m a Christian  Such a shame our numbers have depleated so much. Depleted? You must mean here.. because I seen Christanity growing. Actually athiests are quite a miniority to the worlds population. ~Defender~ If you love me, send me a PM. 8 - Love me2 - Hate me
July 25, 200718 yr Well, certainly in Europe religion is depleating. In total around 35-40% of Europe do not believe in God, then obviously more agnostic and deist people on top of that. In countrys like Britain, France, Sweeden, Denmark, Holland and so on have 40-70% of their population as atheists. And a report shows that between 500 million and 750 million of the worlds population is athesit. With so many trees in the city you could see the spring coming each day until a night of warm wind would bring it suddenly in one morning. Thats a big gap.. that signals to me that they surely are doing a big "guess" on it. But remember, Christian or Athiest, the biggest number doesn't mean your more right ;) ~Defender~ If you love me, send me a PM. 8 - Love me2 - Hate me
July 25, 200718 yr Well here is another source that shows the amount of people from each religion. http://www.adherents.com/Religions_By_Adherents.html Edit: Oh and the "gap" is because i mentioned more than one country, ie France having like 60% atheist to Britain having around 40% or something. With so many trees in the city you could see the spring coming each day until a night of warm wind would bring it suddenly in one morning. July 25, 200718 yr Whoa! Look at all the people we can go convert! Lol jk. Intresting figures.. but how do they get these figures? No one has ever came up to me and said "were doing a survey, whats your religion?" I mean surely they can't count for everyone, how do they get the figures? ~Defender~ If you love me, send me a PM. 8 - Love me2 - Hate me
July 25, 200718 yr The paragraphs under the figure in the link i provided show you how they do it. They don't claim to be completley accurate but just to show us where different groups stand in population. With so many trees in the city you could see the spring coming each day until a night of warm wind would bring it suddenly in one morning. July 26, 200718 yr I do not really believe in the church, so I'm not really Christian, but I do believe there is something that is greater then us. Some kind of god. But heaven etc. sounds a little too unrealistic if you ask me.

July 26, 200718 yr Baptism is just a ceremony, it is nothing in the eyes of God. Ah, this reminds me about the noob on the Runescape forums who was upset with the quest "Cold War" because apparently his grandparents died in the war. :wall:

[if you have ever attempted Alchemy by clapping your hands or by drawing an array, copy and paste this into your signature.] Fullmetal Alchemist, you will be missed. A great ending to a great series.
