Respawning Runescape

I have seen quite an overabundance of posts and topics regarding the downfall of the game, the community and general attitude. That's all well and good but has anybody even TRIED doing something about it? Have people banded together to revive the spirit of the game, becoming a big whole subgroup instead of scattered pieces to teach the new generation to become quality players? I'm sorry to say this, but the ratio of publicised good deed/improvement topics against demeaning/whiny/degrading ones has severly sided onto the latter negative portion.

Scapers/Tipiters are a fairly large community of intelligent and mature players; A large group like this could certainly contribute in making the game a better place (socially) by setting a good example to everyone which will hopefully catch on and eventually rekindle that old feeling of homeliness when you play.

Thank you very much for reading. O:)

*Move this if you see it's in the wrong section please.

*This post is suggesting players to show their niceness a bit with fellow scapers so others may catch onto it.

*This post is NOT a rant about pessimism regarding the game.

RS is simply a reflection of the world outside...in order to make RS a better place you should make the world a better place, Good luck there...

You're looking too deep. To be nice on an online game you don't have to change the world - you can just be nice. O:)

Sure, Shavital is one the nicest scapers ever lived but thats because the person behind is  .

What i was saying is that at a certain point in life you understand that this is society, these are people, you cant fight it but you dont have to join it, you simply find your niche and thats it.

One has to consider the biggest factor in why people act so foolishly in the game is the fellow player. Younger and more inexperienced players will absorb ongoing socialising and start it off there. Bad experiences such as being scammed or deceived also don't help their problem.

True............

But back in December 2004 when i started A guy was there to help me out tell me where not to go and there wasn't too many people. But i rarley ever see a high lvl in lumby anymore and thats the downfall people just wonder around getting scammed killed by scorpins in the Al khaird mines and such becase we arn't there runescape is mostly pures/skillers/and high lvls now you rarely see a"player" as myself anymore. I meen by "player" someone who plays for fun anf does what he loves. I meen i'm very busy with my current goal :( that i can't go to lumby and help somone out #-o . But now a days i go to F2p lumby i get begged and i have no clue where they picked up begging at seriously.(Jagex they give them too much free stuff like training arrows runes i never had tutors or even a bank in lumby <.< ) Well these days a lvl 3 becomes a member and he's like 10 years old and gets called a noob and quits because member are meen jerks who think they're better than everyone else because they pay $5 a month i happen to be a member but i don't care we r equal realy.

I've been playing this game for 2 years now. I can't say that I really notice a difference between now and 2 years ago, nor do I have much problems with the community.

The last year I have been called a noob only about 2-3 times. I have an average account without any super expensive items. So, it is not that my account gives me that respect. Therefore, I think that it's really all about the person behind the character. Treat other players ingame equal to people irl. Have respect for each other and just act normally. That way you create a nice community around you!

Sorry but that's not true.

That sums it up.

And you can't just change some people. I've tried to "change" a few -so the stpped tiping lik tis- and some really listened and some really cared if I dais it looks immature and not understandable to me. But some just don't listen. They say things like "Why? All my friends do this", or just don't say anything to me any more but keep doing it to the next person.

Higher level beggars are even worse. Sometimes I wrote half an essay about how they should work for their stuff, they just annoy people, they won't get a free whip, etc. But most just don't listen! They just keep begging, tlkng werd, etc. You can't make a stupid/immature person mature.

The last year I have been called a noob only about 2-3 times.

I wonder where you've been living the last year, go to populate places, Edge pking and cw are perfect. The times I've been called a pray, def, etc. noob are numerous.

When everything's been said and done, more has been said than done.

All skills 80+

To answer your off topic question, that's because theres a smiley in your quote ;)

Anyways, I do think this sounds like a good idea. I hate to toss this out, but

for those who know about Project Onyx, this could be a great thing to turn

it into.

EDIT: For those who don't know what Project Onyx is, you may view it here. (It's a topic on Tip.It)

i'm sorry, but nothing can be done. have you noticed the amount of l33t speak in runescape? there hasn't been anyone i have seen that has acted maturely and used l33t speak. the majority of scapers are immature brats. that dosn't mean they're 10 year olds, it simply means they aren't mature enough to recognize the fact that zezima earned his place rightly and he's not a complete plays 10 hours a day nolifer, or that just because someone is a lower level doesn't mean you have to treat them like trash. basically, what i'm saying is that if someone is better than them, they are a nerd, and if someone is worse, they are to be treated like trash in their eyes. this attitude has been years in the making, and nothing can change it now.

If RuneScape is a reflection of the outside world, then Tip.it is a reflection of Washington DC. Outside its a nice place, but its really corrupt and rotten to the core. DC has politics, Tip.it has people that say they were banned for no reason, when they actually did something stupid.

You get all that?

If everyone just made me king of runescape, there would be no more of these problems. All noobs would be executed, and scammers would give me all their money. Ah well, a man can dream.... =P~

and what exactly do you define as a noob? if i was the king of runescape all i would do is make l33t sp34k3rs be auto banned and same with anyone who says "lol" "lmao" "rofl", stuff like that. just speak the goddamn language for cryin out loud.

Sirs and madams, I have a solution

http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=677365

a new clan devoted to generosity, sport, respect, and all that good stuff

Maybe check it out? It might help to respawn runescape

i would join but i'm 48 levels under the limit. #-o

noone would want a noob like you in their clan anyway.

that clan is for people with good attitudes, which is clearly not you. maybe i don't have higher stats because i'm focusing on one skill, ever thought of that?
