Wow! So was it love at first sight? Did her pixelled bum look good in the sewers under varrock?

Well I wish you all the best of luck for the trip, for your sake and Tigra00 sake I hope everything goes well.

But seriously, you both said you had feelings for each other over the internet without even meeting?  Oh I'm going to love remembering this every time you try to insult me in the future!

It's not something I'm ashamed of. People who are like...Anti-internet-meeting-of-significant-others are the ones who should be ashamed, because they (you aswell apparently?) act as if the person on the other end isn't real and they're incapable of feeling.

The beauty of online relationships is that EVERYTHING about it is based on the important emotional stuff and nothing of it is physical, which is what relationships are supposed to be about.

So, you won't see any shame in my eyes.

Her and I have talked extensively about moving in with eachother aswell. I'll probably move her up here someday because she lives quite literally in the middle of nowhere, which is a nice place to visit, but being 3 hours away from anything KINDA' sucks. :P

Well if that's your theory I suggest you go get married on Runescape. Why bother, who needs a physical kiss to be officially married?! Hey I'll even find some nub for you who is willing to be your Marriage Celebrant for 200gp. You can't go wrong!

Anyway, I do sincerely wish you the best while you go and meet her.

it is recommended that you go with a responsible adult no matter your age, but that's up to you.

Anyway, cool! Being in the family I'm in, I have no qualms about meeting up with people you initially met on the internet. My sister has met up with two guys and one girl (stayed at her house a few times, they're pretty good friends) that she met over the internet. And she married one of the guys last year (so she moved to America :(). And my brother also met one of his friends when we went to America. Sadly enough, about a year after, we found out he was a convicted pedophile, but mum and dad were around him the entire time, so nothing bad happened, which is a blessing. And I personally have met up with a girl I met over the internet, and we've been pretty good friends since then, which is always nice.

ANYWAY, I hope you have fun meeting her.

Cool.

I'll almost certainly never get to meet my internet friends ...

Why is there always one person who really, really wants to argue with me? This obviously wasn't about us being or getting married. My comment was that relationships start and are based around emotional feelings. If they're based around physical things, your relationship isn't going to last and it'll suck. Are you seriously arguing that? It's like...A fact...Just how it is.

Anywhooooooooooosssss...To everyone saying I need to take an adult with me...I AM AN ADULT! :P My mom will be meeting her and her mom anyways, but seriously...I'm 20, I'm 6'2" and 195 pounds. I'm a black belt. I seriously pity anyone who would try to harm me. :P =;

People's personalities can be very different over the internet. It's not just about physical appearance. You have no idea who you're going to meet just now. And there's no garantee it will still work irl. Nevertheless, good luck, and keep us updated after you've met her.

I know that is the case for people aswell, but I know what I'm getting into here. She's the same in real life as she is on the internet or on the phone, she's incredibley un-fake and brutally honest. I expect her to be a bit shy, but I don't expect anything attitude-wise to change. I know what you're saying, though. It was a worry to me back in the day, but I've come to learn differently.

I'll be sure to fill ya'll in on how it went, though.

No definitely not arguing about that. I wasn't even arguing about anything (though now I'm arguing about not having argued :P ). Its just saying you have feelings for others over the internet is a bit kookoo.

Why is it 'kookoo' because you say so? I can tell you now an emotional relationship is considered more involved than a romantic one; I can give you sources if you like from relationship psychology. Also I can give you sources and statistics that internet relationships, that disclose personal information and talk about the future, have quite a high rate of successful marriages?

No thanks about the links (I believe you) but mind explaining how you can have an emotional connection/relationship over the internet?

Oh wait how silly of me: you use :) instead of a real life smile: you use  when your sad, to express that your crying in RL over something: and you use <3: when your feeling the love: Man I feel so emotionally attached to everyone now. Can't everyone just feel the love which has circulated through this thread, since I've used that emoticon! No wonder people can express their deepest feelings for each other over the internet ! (Don't you just love the power of emoticons!)

Negative, the only thing you proved to me is that you perfect a GPA of 6.75 in online sarcasm (look we share something in common).

Btw if you believe me why come up with pathetic conclusions that didn't involve any thought at all. You could have at least given a little critical analysis. I'm slightly disappointed.

I'm really trying to see Eels' point of view here...but I just don't see where it's coming from. To say you can't have feelings for someone because they're over the internet is like saying you can't have friends because they're over the 'net. You have feelings for your friends, don't you? You care about them, etc etc.

Her and I have considered eachother best friends for all these years, and we've just considered ourselves a "couple". Some could argue we're not actually dating because, well, we've never been on a date and never seen eachother, but that doesn't really matter to us.

'Sides, in a week, I'll be standing right in front of her and noone would THEN have a problem calling us a couple, but as soon as I go home, people then would no longer consider us a couple.

:? Makes no sense at all. People are couples because THEY say so, by THEIR 'rules', not someone elses invisible law-book o' life.

I was expecting this! Usually people are more sombre when they create a title for a goodbye post, if they enjoyed the game (or malignant if not).

I myself have met a few in real life that I first met on the internet. May be a few months from meeting the next one, apparently Utah is rapidly becoming unpleasant for her palette.

A lot of the reactions on the first page where the ones I usually see to similar threads too. The impetuousness of youth, no longer naive as they once were. Sad what our cultures have become.

Why *the hell* are you doing this? It's completely unneccasary. I'm really surprised that you are acting so hostile. Just let him be and be happy. If they'll be together, they will. If they aren't, they won't. It doesn't matter how it started. It matters how it turns out.
