(Pay attention people! This is not a thread about being scammed! Just friends bring jerks! That picture was a result of {Black Box} going on about how they're all "blast furnaces" and the one in Keldergrim is nothign special! NO SCAMMING! Stop saying "I've never been scammed", BECAUSE I DON'T CARE!) Same here. Yes. It's not about the other people, its about shooting cute furry things that explode. I had a good RS friend for a long time, until two summers ago, after I took a week long vacation with my family, he ceased to appear green on my friends list. I kept him on it, though, in case he ever did appear on it again. A few months later he did, and asked for money. I gave him 20k on a new account of his. Later I realized that it was just his friend's account and he never had the intention of paying me back. I didn't care about such small amounts of money though, so we remained friends, although it was never the same again. After another month or so of not seeing him, he logged in one day. He was intent to make about 500k, but always wanted my help. I helped him with a few tasks like mining 500 iron and he banked it to make some cannonballs. I also helped him with a few Treasure Trails, one of which netted him a pair of Flared Trousers which he sold for 900k, the price at the time. Somehow he squandered it away though, and still needed more for whatever he wanted to buy. He always wanted me to share profits that I got from Barrows with him. Sometimes I did when I got an expensive item. But even when I gave him 200k out of the 800-900k that I sold a Guthan Plate for, he still wanted more. The next thing that he wanted me to help him with was the quest Monkey Madness. I was busy training my own skills, but still agreed to help him. I helped him to the point where he needed to solve the puzzle. He wanted me to loan him 200k because he couldn't solve it, even with the help of guides from Tip.it and RuneHQ. I wouldn't loan him the money because I knew that even if he wanted to pay me back, he would never be able to make that much money by himself, and he would probably want my help to pay myself back. Every day he would berate me, telling me that I was the one preventing him of seeing his dream come true of having a Dragon Scimitar. Whenever he saw a lower-leveled person than himself with one, it was my fault that it mocked him. Finally, I had had enough. I blocked him. The next day, I put him back on my friends list. I could see him logged on, but he didn't speak to me. I didn't speak to him either. After that, I have never seen him logged onto RuneScape again. Maybe he blocked me. Or maybe he quit. I can only guess that perhaps he will log in again, seeking my friendship after long breaks as he has in the past. TheWilch Posted July 22, 2007 Share Posted July 22, 2007 phhhhft i have a heartfelt story of betrayal. i wont (i lied) name drop, but a well known fourm mod from runeHQ and i once were in the same clan "dragon knights" back in about 2002. well we had been friends from lvl 60 til we were probably both lvl 110 (no clue on his lvls now) but anways we were so close that we considered each other runescape brothers. we had a code of trust, help, and honor. well my accounts was in danger of being hacked because i had found out i had gotten a keylogger so i asked jagex to ban my account til i got it my comp cleaned. before i did that, i asked him to hold onto my valuables just incase i couldnt get my account back. he was a fairly rich person with his blue p hat sitting on his head all day, so he said yes and i felt i could honestly trust him. i ended up intrusting him with my green party hat, santa hat, 8m, and over 15 rune sets, 3 whips and probably 15m worth of HIGH level runes. we conversed over MSN because my account was banned for a week then i got my computer fixed and got the account back. so after telling him on msn i had my account back i logged onto runescape. he logs off immediatly, to this day hes blocked off contact with me and anyone who i can talk to and rely a message to him :roll: this happend in 06 mind you, thats 4 years of a friendship gone for probably 40mil total because greens were 14m and santas were rediculously low. but since that day ive always never been able to bond with people in runescape seeing as you really cant trust them. ananamous is a noob. :-# Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I know it may seem like a small amount but I lost about 10 million staking and also died in mb with 7 million gear on so it was the rest of my cash. I know I will never get the cash back and he is a known member of the Tip It forums but has lost respect from everyone I have any contact with in regards to runescape. I could ruin the poor guys rs life by posting pictures of him trying to sell his account but two wrongs don't make a right. I have no friends! :boohoo: But seriously, the worst I've seen is giving a rune battle axe and 100k to someone I had just met (was in a generous mood). Few days later he goes PKing and loses full rune. Not going to give him that much again ... although I'm sure I'll be randomly generous again someday. but since that day ive always never been able to bond with people in runescape seeing as you really cant trust them. Unfortunate that you can't trust anyone now. There ARE trustworthy people around. Pity it's so difficult to prove if you are trustworthy.
