With the move of the party room to right next door to the Dwarven mines, could it be a good idea for miners who dont want to drop to just deposit them into the boxes? that would be quicker than a bank run...

That's actually a good idea although it's not that much closer than the bank.

I tried it, and it worked pretty well...

Not bad but the iron ones are quite far. I dunno if you would like to powermine coal?

Banking them would be smarter, in a week or two you can sell those ores and buy a pointless santa hat or something...

The party hall...you know the one where you can have drop parties.

Powermining basically means you never have to spend any extra time dropping, it's just like mining over and over and over without stopping. So this really would be ineffective.

isnt it just easier to go across the bottom row when you are right over the drop option

This is actually a good idea. For a second there I thought about mining in the mining guild since I'm so used to mining there..

The two ore method is faster than this and the iron mines in the dwarven mines are way too crowded. So, Al Kaharid power mining>this

You already went as far as the party hall, why not that extra steps to bank the ore for some money?

This isn't really powermining. Power mining doesn't involve banking, or moving for that matter.

Power mining goes like this with me:

 

 

 

1. i mine until i have my inventory almost full

 

2. i start advertising i have free iron

 

3. I trade the person who wants it, most of the time someone takes the iron.

 

4. lather, rinse and repeat.

Easier way is too mine two ores, drop those two and mine the next ore which should have just spawned. Thats what true powermining is.(or so I'm lead to believe)

Just get a runner for you, any1 who wants iron ores for free.

 

You mine trade the runner and he banks it comes back and u trade he runs to bank, there problem solved.

If you have the three ores in a vertical row going down, in the row closest to you, you can even do this in a full world and not even skip a beat. It's really nice.

If I power mined I would either drop instantly, or want to go the extra couple of squares to get myself a bit of profit.
