:-k What is so good about runescape classic? I always here people alking about it being better but never heard why. so pls tell me, why is rsc better then runescape now? :-k

because it was the 1st version and a lot of the veterans like me find it nostalgic, well thats why i think its good anyway

1. It was before Jagex advertised on Miniclip, the community was alot more mature.

 

 

 

2. It was alot more difficult, people with high levels put hundreds of times more effort into the skills then people do in RS2. You couldnt just run from every fight either

More challenging and the community there was so much better (in general)... I still play occasionally but it's nothing compared to what it used to be :(

there was still was alot of problems that RS2 had like autoers spamers and scammers..but as a few people said before everything was much more challenging and its good for the rememories

its amazing... the graphics are bad, but the monster models are amazing

Nothing was as fast.

 

 

 

If you got into a fight, you where there for 3 rounds out combat till you could walk away, no running.

 

 

 

At the end of RSC days there was the fatigued system which was a pain.

 

 

 

It was harder to keep track of what was goining on because of the way the menus and stuff where set out.

 

 

 

1 speed for every fight, scimmys were the same speed as 2-handers.

 

 

 

The list goes on....

From what I've heard it was a "Mans game". :P

 

It had a much better community and a lot more challenging, it was not a kiddies game. There was even duel anywhere, which would rock if it was still in the game and not the duel arena.

Most, if not all of the skills were actually worth training, unlike 5 or so in RS2...

Better community, harder skills, In my opinion complete skills.

 

 

 

I mean hunter, runecrafting and herblore are in my opinion far from complete.

..and a MUCH better pking system :P

I wish i could play it :(

skills like firemaking depended on levels too..only 1 log to burn diff xp at diff levels..

 

 

 

Crafting was a MASSIVE achievement with only Ltangel having 99 (No dragon-hides to craft).

whats better about rs1 is, that its rs1, and not rs2.. just that simple 8-)

Runescape classic players get that sense of superiority by saying "hah i played runescape classic", its the same with music, art and pretty much anything thats old. I played RSC for a few days but wasn't interested, i don't know how anyone could say RSC is better than rs2 now because theres simply so much more to do as a game in rs2. The only thing that could be construed as "better" is pking but i dont think that makes up for the rest of the game but whatever, they don't bother me so i'm not going to insult their decision to play a game that hasn't been updated for years.

 

 

 

Know those people who play halo 1 when everyone else is on the later versions? Thats what people on rsc are like compared to rs2.

I still play rsc and it's hugely overrated. Yes it's harder but rs2 is funner in just about every other way. Compared to rs2, rsc feels like an incomplete prototype.

I still play Counter-strike, it came out in beta 1.0 in 1999, and i still think its mad fun.

 

 

 

I can give u a million reasons why, and if you spent more than just a few lousy days on RSC you wouldn't be posting this post, that i sadly felt obligated to respond to.

It was always better. Fewer noobs, more mature players, more difficult to lvl, 3 rounds of combat...too many to list.

I still log into classic once and a while. It isn't better but you definately had to work alot harder to gain skills. The pking on classic was the best though.

Simply because the community is better. I still have my account there, and even to this day people are generally mature on that version of the game.

BINGO! let's all blame miniclip now :lol: did anybody see the stupid looking puzzle pirates banner?!? that's been in the top 10 games for over a year now! and "club penguin" most of the sites online are dumbing down, soon tip.it will be overrun by 10 year-old newbs!! #-o
