Im being forced to quit. Good thing or Bad thing?

Hey,

After 2 years 3 months of scaping, im being forced to quit by my dad.

He says its cause ill be having a very busy school year, which is kinda true. -.-

Now the good thing is that he is gonna reconsider once he sees my first quarter grades

My plan is to sell all my dragon hide bodies and buy a santa! *Ill be giving the extra 2m to a rl friend*

Now here is the discussion part of the thread:

1. Do you think it fair that I should be forced to quit, even tho I have:

A: Only ever played rs on Friday, Saturday and a little on Sunday.

B: I have maintained a 3.7 gpa my freshmen and sophmore years.

C: I play varsity sports <---lol fixed it

D: I have never gotten a detention (stuff like that) even in my entire life

2. Do you think that It could be good for me, cause being forced into

buy a rare and siting on it might be the best thing that happend to me. You never santas could jump

100% while im gone.

Discuss O:)

Doesn't matter if it's fair or not, real life goes before computer games.

But it isn't having any effect on my rl, thought I made that clear. plz don't address me like I got a problem <.<

By being "forced not to play" I'm sure you mean you're merely losing your membership. It's pretty hard stopping someone from playing a browser-based game.

Regardless, I'm sure it would be a good thing. Your life and future are far more valuable than losing some mils of gp in rs. And by the way I see it, your dad might see your good grades as proof not to play the game. You might want to plan your next grade-showing with a little cunning.

Life is a joke. Yeah, I don't get it either.

Good plan on buying a rare. Even after a few months it will increase in value.

Even if your quitting, you probably still wont use that time that you played rs to study will you?

Thats why my grades pretty well didnt change when i quit rs. #-o

Whatever though good luck in school

You said yourself that you'll be having a busy school year, just make sure your grades are good and you'll be fine.

Some people dream of success, while others make it happen.

You probably won't think its for the ebst, but when you look back on it when your 30(if you still remember it) you'l probably see its for the best.

And yes buying a rare (even if its a lower edible one) would be for the best if you plan on coming back.

Your GPA will always matter more then a computer game, so I can see your dad's train of thought, but if you are maintaining a 3.7 I dont see why he would make you quit. Just do well in school and see where it goes, if you do well then your dad will probably let you back on RS, but if you mess up after that dont expect to play again... ever.

That would make sence, but my dad doesn't make sence  The better the grades, the better my chances.

This is why I'm glad I found this game after I was all finished with school. Once I get into college I'm gonna stop playing (atleast as often as I do now).

Just like what everyone else had said, schoolwork is more important. Your dad should consider letting you play on the Weekends though as long as you do all your weekend homework in advance.

I'm not playing right now, but I'll be back

if the best thing thats happened to you is you make profit from a rare in runescape.. then yes.. you definitely need to quit.

your grades cant be that good if you cant spell varsity, and if you play friday saturday and sunday, then you dont go out. im sure your dad is worried that youre spending too much time in front of that durn internets box!

go outside and play. its just a silly game. get some perspective.

O:)

hope that didnt come across too harshly...

Sowwy....It was a poke of fun. I tend to be annoying that way.

And isn't is strange how you got a car, bigger muscles, varsity swimming, and busty ladies, all by not playing rs for a short time?

Oh...no ladies? Darn shame.

Life is a joke. Yeah, I don't get it either.

Just plonk all your spare cash into MTK, and when you come back get your workers up to 100% again 24 hours before withdrawing your goodies. Therefore you can be happy in the knowledge that your RS character is gaining supplies whilst not playing for a few months.

Get out and socialise with the girlies ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ if at 1st you don̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t succeed, snag a fugly.

I find it wierd that your parents take away Runescape so you can focus more on school, and then don't sign for AP classes?

Silly.

Life > RuneScape. It doesn't matter how you manage your time in life or whatever, life will always and forever come before some game that you can drop like a rock and pick up where you left off. With real life (especially school!), it's not so easy.

I don't get the logic of some people...The best plan to have fun and work is to lay them out equally. One hour of RuneScape per day if you don't have any other plans...removing the whole thing just makes things worse.

Plus I highly doubt you, anyone really, has a busy schoolyear. I mean sure, if your whole family is dirt poor and you gotta work at the fields from dawn to dusk I'll understand...but you have a computer, so that fails. Back to ponit: How can you have so much work/sports/job/other stuff, that you can't play/do something else that doesn't take much time? I never understood that...
