Well everyone now knows that many of the Runescape Worlds now are Themed whether that be for a Mini-Game, Trading, or even Role playing.

We've just added a new column to the World Select screen to help you find a world for your favourite activities. We know that it's often more fun to do things as part of a group, so we've added this list to help like-minded people find each other.

 

 

 

To make the list we quite simply looked at the worlds that you already use! If you regularly go air running or play Trouble Brewing, you'll already know which worlds you go to, but now anyone else who wants to do the same will be able to join in the fun. Of course, we'll be checking frequently to see if any worlds get full regularly and updating the list when necessary.

 

 

 

Having said all this, you don't have to do the named activity on these worlds - no one should have to do anything just because of the world they're on. The list is simply a guideline for people looking for a specific activity. You can also still do any of these on any world, but if you want the largest games or more company you might want to check out one of the suggested worlds.

 

 

 

We haven't assigned an activity for Worlds 1 and 2 because they already get enough traffic from being at the top of the list. Anyone looking for a busy world won't have any difficulty spotting them.

I was just wondering what your favorite themed world is. Do you love the Castle Wars world to death? Finally able to get a game of Trouble Brewing? Or even try to Role Play your Runescape experience? (My personal favorite.)

 

 

 

This might even turn this into a poll if enough people respond :wink:

there all good for there own reason but I don't do any of the theme world activity's so there sort of useless to me right now, but i'm sure in time they will find a use for me.

Well, just because of these Themed worlds, I finally tried out Trouble Brewing :). Its kinda fun. I'ma get them Navy Pants =o In Black =o. Yay!

I like these worlds alot because if you (like I do) mine on say the pking world, it's really empty.

I like the concept of the rp-ing worlds. I set up my own homes in certain places.

World 9 CW. Had a game last night and it was easily the best game i've ever had. So many people there, it was insane.

Many players enjoy RuneScape's fantasy setting and engage in 'role-playing' to increase their enjoyment. If you're in a role-playing world you'll notice people speaking differently and behaving in a different way - it's all to create an atmosphere of actually being in a fictional world, rather than playing a computer game.

42 would be nice if people actually role played.

At this very moment in time the shades of morton world. It helped me get that quest done quickly so I can get on with my barrows method :thumbsup:

I would have to say the Barbarian Assault world

Fight pits is the only one i've done so far and it was insane, i'll be trying out the castle wars one soon.

World 9 Castle Wars FTW. If you are an ancient, bring all the runes you can. Trust me, it's insane exp!!!

We have made some slight changes to those worlds that have been designated as themed worlds. This is because themed activities were causing lag on certain servers, while they weren't on others; some servers are simply much more able to cope with hundreds of people all crowded together into one Castle Wars game, for example.

 

 

 

With this in mind, it makes sense to move a few of our server themes onto worlds that can cope with the levels of activity.

 

 

 

Our first choice was always to select worlds that players had unofficially chosen for an activity and, where possible, we have tried to keep these activities on their chosen servers. The reduction of lag on a world, we now realise, is far more important - particularly if that world cannot cope with large numbers playing something server-intensive like Pest Control.

very good update for the Shade's of Mort'ton minigame, world 131 :XD:

I like the blast furnace world, now you can actually go there whenever you want without bringin your own team... its pretty useful now with so many people and the half coal thing, DWARVES PWN

World 104 is always a nice place to play the most fun mini-game in rs (Trouble Brewing), but I am glad they made a centralized base for the blast furnace.

Only ones I've actually really tried were CWs and Pits. Those were abusevily AWESOME. It was a good update. I like the minigames worlds best.

The update sucks, i just go to wherever. I think I'd go to the cw world but not play, just have stuff spawn faster.
